Not really scary as long as you use common sense and keep your distance especially with a sow and cubs. It is really neat to see them in the wild instead of caged up in a zoo.
I agree! I would love to visit somewhere with wildlife like that. I LOVE all animals.

All we get to see is squirrels, birds, stray cats and dogs. I love them just as well but it would be fun to see more! We did have a possum and her babies show up in our backyard. That was a treat but I have no clue where they came from living in a busy city.

Yea, it is kinda of a tradition 1 Sunday each October. It is a great time of the year for it. Come up and join us next year.
I just mght!

Hi Christmas family !!

Just checking in really quick here...........I changed my avatar and my signature.......Do they look okay ??? I value all your opinions !!

I hope all are well. I am so sad about the young man who was killed. Poor child and his parents, I cannot even imagine. My prayers and heart as always go to them xo

Have a great day Christmas family !! (((CHRISTMAS HUGS))) !! xo

CAH- I 'm not sure how close you are to Waxahachie but that looks like one nasty fire. I'd be stayng inside.

I am cooking a small Thanksgiving dinner right now. Stuffing, cranberry sauce and about to make pumpkin pie!

I was going to hop in my truck and head over until I saw the fire. So save me some leftovers and I'll pick them up tomorrow.

I like them....'specially the snowglobe on the bottom. Very nice!

...I have a city council meeting tonight. One of my last few as a councilman, then onto mayor at the beginning of the year....I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

So. I hear that Anoka, MN is the Halloween Capital of the world. My question for you; is your constituency going to be the Christmas Capital of the world? (Please say Yes!) :celebrate:

UPDATE: My mom in law is out of surgery, they took 1/3 of a lobe in her lungs. They said they expect her to be back to full breathing and activity in time. Please continue to pray for her and the family. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts being sent......

Ok off to my next doctor's appointment. The first one was to get me off the BP meds and to see through the blood draw if I can go off the high cholesterol meds. I guess this surgery has done some good besides shrinking my body size. LOL!! See you all later.:nice:

It's directly south of us but not close enough to bother us. I have my windows open and no sign of smoke, yet. Thanks for your concern!

Well if your delivering to Undtakr can you just drop mine by?
Any excuse to head up north for cooler weather. I will be there!

HollyJells, keeping your mom in prayer. Please keep us posted!

CM3,
signature and avatar look great! They always do!

Good evening, Christmas family !!

Ai-Chi-Hua-Hua !! Am I stressed tonight after work !! It was going okay until I got this goober who had an accent AND slurred his words AND didn't speak up ! I wound up leaving LOTS of blanks which the company does not like......so I am sitting here obssessing over it. ......

I am sitting in the living room with my Halloween decorations up, my Christmas garland lit and Christmas Wreath tart in the warmer and my furchildren Wish and Clancy sitting by me. There is a gentle fire in the fireplace......

Isn't that part of working with the public now? That's why I like forums so much; you can't mutter on them.

And I like your Halloween/Christmas combination. We're nuts about Halloween as well as Christmas at my house, and I always have the urge to listen to Christmas music when I see a Jack-O-Lantern.

Have a better day!

CAH and SIT: stay safe!

HollyJells: thank you for the update. I will keep her in my prayers! Good luck on your next appointment!!

CM3: Love them!

I do the same thing! I have been listening to Christmas music today as well surrounded by Halloween decorations!

Fortunately, I am incapable of cheering for the Lions! So, I am hoping that these winning ways end soon. I guess that I'll have to wait and see how well the Packers do against them in November and December.

LOL you sound like me when anyone talks about the Cowboys or Pats...I just can't bring myself to cheer for them! (Sorry fans of those two teams, nothing personal!!)

Hey vsuclaribnl, we're big penn state fans too. My hubby is from New Jersey so he fixed that 22 years ago when we met. Go Nittany Lions!!!!!

Yay!! I always love to see other PSU fans around!! You've gotta be in the minority down there in SEC country though, eh?

Hey everyone & good morning! Last Thurs. after school @ my daughters school some of the JV football player & varsity were waiting on JV game to start & went across the road to a convenience store. This is typical as they are @ a smaller school & this store is almost like an extension of the school. Everyone knows everyone. This 14 year old boy on JV team was crossing back to the school & was hit by a car. Unfortunately there were some other team members just behind him & witnessed the whole thing. Some say they saw him get hit & etc. This poor little boy was airlifted I think, & passed away shortly after. This child was only 14!!!! This is a horrible tragedy & I can't imagine how his family & friends are coping with this. His funeral is this afternoon & I know lots of students will be attending. My daughter didn't know him personally but alot of her friends did. Nonetheless all the kids are mourning the loss of this little boy. The school had a game FRi. night & did a beautiful tribute to this young man. My daughter said it was very somber @ school on Fri. I would like to ask everyone to lift this young mans family, friends, & school up in your prayers today. Grab your child today & hug them just a little tighter.....that's exactly what I did.

I will be sending good thoughts to everyone involved in that terrible situation. :(

Wayne is feeling a lot better too!

So good to hear!!!

UPDATE: My mom in law is out of surgery, they took 1/3 of a lobe in her lungs. They said they expect her to be back to full breathing and activity in time. Please continue to pray for her and the family. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts being sent......

Glad to hear your MIL is out of surgery. Will continue to send positive thoughts her direction!
