GOod morning...It was our first frost,albeit light but it was frost on the roof this morning. Does that count? We usually get our first one late october early nov,or sometimes even late Nov,we have yet to have our first freeze though,but I will take frost! I put a Roast on last night and should be done when we get back from chrurch around noon. I cooked it on low and put in onions and potato when I got up in the middle of the night to let snowball out. Mean while snowball has crawled back in bed it's much too cold for him to stay up with me I guess. I saw on the news that the snowfall amounts were smashed and I am shocked to tell you the truth. Even weather.com was too conservative on thier forecast. I talked to my friend in central mass and he did not have power all night. I wish everyone that has lost power or is snowed in the best todayI hope they can recover quickly!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a cold morning here in central Indy where we currently stand at 33 degrees. We don't have any snow but we do have a nice frost outside. My plan for today is just kick back and watch some football and racing. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it started with toys r us 2 years ago. Then wal mart opened at midnight last year. So I can imaginie that a lot more will be opening at midnight this year. I don't agree with it and refused to go there last year.

I was lucky when I worked retail. I worked for napa and autozone. You would get a rush everytime there was a real bad cold snap but winter was usually our dead time. We also didn't have black friday sales.

The outlet mall not too far from me has been opening up at midnight on BF for quite a few years - I have never gone to that sale, but hear it is complete madness. I actually loved working retail - it was fun and I rarely had an impossible customer. I dream of opening up my own store some day cheesy

Louie seems to be doing better. He doesn't seem to be coordinated as much as before, but he isn't sleeping all day anymore. Hopefully he will make a full recovery, and thank you SO much to everyone who sent their thoughts/prayers our way, it means a lot.

My stitches were removed from my shoulder today. I only had to have four "holes" for the doctor to do his surgery. I am SO far behind, but I am looking forward to catching up on all the posts. There's not a lot I can do physically, so this will keep me busy. I am just giddy with excitement about all the posts, the upcoming holidays, the new cookbook, the gift exchange and all the other exchanges, and, yes, my upcoming surgeries. My eye surgeries will be done on November 2 and the facelift on December 14. Oh, how vain am I? I will be returning to work on a limited basis. I cannot believe how it is getting harder to bounce back. I am sure it has NOTHING to do with my age!!! I had to take a three-hour nap the other day! I hope to finish all my catching up right after my eye surgeries. Note the use of the word "hope." And a HUGE congrats to Dawg for being MOM. It is a great honor, and the green banner is an added touch of recognition. My eyes are slowly closing, so I better get to bed. I really miss you guys.

I got my "Night of The Living Dead " Fix out of the way......I discovered they were showing it on Pay per view for just $2.99 and I ordered it. I don't normally watch zombie movies or scary movies but that one is a classic so I usually try to watch it every Halloween. I actually find the ending really sad........

I find the ending very sad, too!

Wish and me were snuggled in watching the movie with a fireplace. We have both been really cold today. He is such a cuddly guy.....He has arthritis (just like me !) and last night I put the heating pad on my back then got Wish up in my arms and covered him over and away to sleep we went..........

I'm sorry you both have arthritis, but glad you have each other! I hope this finds you both feeling better!!

Tomorrow is the start of my work week. I found out that for the next few weeks there are likely to be mandatory weekend hours. I an always use extra money, who can't ?,but I need my weekend off .....I will do the best I can with this !! I did find out that the reason I am not getting Radiology reports so much now is that they have two other people on afternoon shift doing it !! I got really upset about this - I was handling it just fine.....now there is very little Rad for me to do. I wrote and asked why they did this but don't know if they will answer. I was never given the opportunity of just doing rad all the time.....I just don't think it's fair....Whine over !

It is good to get things out that are bothering you - whine away if need be! I hope things improve and you get the good rad. docs to listen to!!!

Good morning, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well and safe! I have been praying for all of you!!!

Busy day yesterday and I fell way behind on the Countdown. I went to an estate sale and found some Hallmark Christmas ornaments - cats, horses and reindeer. There were a couple hundred to choose from, but I am on a strict budget so only bought a few. I have to write down what I need to complete some of the collections - never know when I will come across one of the pieces at a thrift store or sale and I really can't afford to buy doubles.

I'm just going to spend the day puttering and relaxing - my sinuses and allergies have kicked up a major fuss and as a result, I am very tired. I am currently reading Stephen King's "Under the Dome" - about a hundred pages in and so far it is good.

Hello my fellow snowbirds - still have power? Hope everyone is warm!

I feel very fortunate - our part of town didn't lose electricity! My grandparents lost theirs for about 5 hours and I was worried abotu them, but then it came back on. My mom's house was without and so was my uncle's... I'm nervous to go out and about and see the tree damage! We had a bad storm a few months ago and lost a LOT of trees in town so I'm scared we'll lose even more. The three out front is losing chunks of snow and ice by the minute - not a very good stuation to be out walking!

How do you like my new signature picture ? Since our stay in Island this summer I am a total reindeer nut! Reindeers are just amazing, and so beautiful! I hope we will get to Scandinavia during a winter one time, and get to see them in the wild and get to ride in a reindeer-sleigh!

Evening. Coming from the land down under. Gale force winds have been running wild outside for the past hour. Talk about chaotic. Today was a wonderful day for me. Catching up with my good friend was a blast. It's great to have somebody that isn't afraid to express his opinions. Excited about changing my subject selections for next year. Thought long and hard about my subjects for next year and I finally made up my mind. For one of my subjects, I will be going to TAFE once a week for one of my courses, so I'm pretty excited about that. I get to use the new state-of-the-art gym that just opened on campus. If things don't go according to plan and I'm unhappy at my current school, I can switch and attend TAFE full-time. So, it's a win-win situation. Call me crazy, but I am wanting to play at a very high level in soccer. Sadly, a minority of people snicker and think I am joking. Good thing is that when somebody tells me i can't do it, I keep going and I end up proving that person wrong. Good thing is most of my subjects are sport related, so those subjects will help me achieve my goal. I've got my whole life ahead of me, so there is plenty of time, but I just have a lot of passion and that is really important as well. A few PDHPE teachers at my school rate me highly and tell me that my shots at goal are both deadly and frightening. Flatters me that they think I have what it takes. Goodnight everybody.

I ended up taking an hour nap this morning and it was so spectacular that I didn't want to get up but I did. For the following two hours I online window shopped with my sister on a website she discovered (http://www.modcloth.com) which has all kinds of vintage clothes. Oh, and I also uploaded for Mom's CD. She'll be getting two because one of the CDs she'll be getting is a collection of Nat King Cole songs in Spanish that she's been wanting from me forever.

Right now I'm about to cook dinner in my slow cooker and take another nap--YAY!!

Such a nice day out. I ate a light lunch and havve napped an hour or two before the guilt got to me and I cleaned the kitchen and now just getting a few minutes while I think of some other chores I need to get done! As much as I love October I must say it is taking FOREVER to get over with,this year is the first year I just want halloween to get over with so I can decorate for the holidays. I don't have AMC or Chiller channel anymore to watch horror movies that really puts me in the halloween mood,even though I have ton's of dvd's I just have not cared much about halloween this year. I am taking more time off at thanskgiving and christmas this year so I had to give up being off in October to do that,I am sure I will be grateful once Dec 8th gets here and I will be off until Jan 3rd. Hurry up Dec 8th!!! Have a good afternoon everyone!

We are down to 55 DAYS! Can you believe it?!?!

Hope this finds you all warm, safe & sound! My thoughts & prayers go out to all of those who are in the path of the snow storm. Enjoy the beauty of it, but take care of yourselves.

Today, hubby & I are doing some touch up painting in the house. Each of our teams has a bye week, so we have projects galore going on! Lawn need to be cut, laundry, mopping, etc. Think we'll put on some Christmas crooner CD's & get moving!

We went to see Paranormal Activity 3 yesterday, and it was really creepy. It took awhile to get going, but when it did...watch out! It explained some stuff, but then also left more unanswered ?'s. Hmmm...does that mean a Paranormal Activity 4 is in the future?! Very unsettling, that's all I'll say so I don't ruin it for others.

Well, lots to do, so I better scram.
