Good Morning, My Fellow Season Anticipating Friends.

Lauribear! That was fantastic! And so much truth.

The special posts just keep getting better and better.
(You know, we really should have a special permanent thread to collect them all in over the years!)

Now, I really feel inspired and enthusiastic to post today's count:
Days to the Season: 3 (Now UNDER HALF A WEEK!!)
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 14 (TWO WEEKS from today!)
Days to Christmas Day: 45 (A MONTH AND A HALF from today!!)
The hour draws nigh......

A bit warmer today, with the temperature standing at 55 degrees under calm, sunny skies.
A small chance of rain this afternoon before the return of cold (but seasonal!) weather tomorrow.

You all have a Positively Perfect Post Pines Day, not to mention a Thrilling Thursday!

Next up........
Our one, our only, Christmas-A-Holic!

Lauribear, that was amazing! Thank you, my friend!!!

Special Post 3...

I want you all to re-gift this year. Yes, I want you to take this gift you were given, wrap it up in the prettiest ribbons, paper and bows, and then re-gift it… Who are you giving this gift too, what is this gift you are re-gifting? Your childhood… Once you have wrapped it up beautifully, I then want you to enjoy the anticipation of opening it up… Rip off those bows and ribbons; tear that paper off in shear excitement… Then embrace that childhood, for all too often in the hustle and bustle of a more, more, more world, I find we can lose sight of what sheer joy was / is. Here is your opportunity to enjoy Christmas once again, not through the eyes of your children, but though your child-like heart and eyes. I feel Christmas is a time when the world is renewed in the joy & hope of the season, that peace really can be achieved if we strive for it. The best of everyone comes forth, the Angels are living among us, and we all wish we could give more then we receive. You see I think Christmas gives everyone the opportunity to be a child. This Christmas I invite you all, once again or maybe for you for the first time experience Christmas with the heart of a child.
Christmas, not New Years Day, is a time when we can start anew, fresh, begin again, be reborn, however you may want to look at it. You see it really is the perfect time, for this is when we are all feeling our best and most giving, we may even forgive those who have trespassed against us. So this Christmas, do not live Christmas though your Children, Grand Children, Nieces, or Nephews, (for some of us do not have any in our lives) live it as though you were a child, leave all your mistakes, regret, hurtful words (either said to you or maybe by you), and insecurities behind you, this Christmas start with a clean slate, see ourselves as the child we once were, or maybe wish we could have been; remember innocence, trust, sharing, and most of all kindness. The gift, so many meanings pour forth, how many stories and legends come from this, his gift was so precious, so now I want you to give it back to yourself, his gift, his spirit, start your life as you always wanted or maybe you are happy as it is, then cradle it, rejoice in it. Remember it is a gift, given to each and every one of us. Know that forever more you are a very special person who is an adored child on Earth, take this new you or rejuvenated you into the future, show this to all you meet.
I received a card with this saying on it… May Peace be your priority, Hope your foundation, Joy your expression, and Love your gift!!!

To all my friends on MMC, I wish this all for you... Peace, hope, joy, and most of all Love...

Let's all have a most wonderful, happy Christmas!!!
thank you! Well done...now I am thinking about regifting stuff in a new light!

Beautiful, lauriebear, and so true. Christmas can provide anyone an opportunity to start over and remember & share the innocence of our youth.

Thanks!

Me too!!!! That is an aewsome idea!!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've been trying to find time to pickup pecans in my yard, but it gets dark too soon after work. They are selling for around $3 per pound right now, and I have so many in my yard, I step on pecans with every step. That's money just laying around on the ground!

My son and I went last night to set up the StealthCam again. We are having a blast with that camera! I even uploaded some of the better pictures to an album here in my profile...LOL!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Ok, I started a Sticky thread for the special posts. I don't have time at the moment to put all the links, but will do so tomorrow. Great idea, Crown!

I'm a little nervous to take the stage after all the good writing I am up against but I will do my best! :!!

CAH you will do SO awesome I am SURE of it!!!!!!!

Our pecan tree didn't produce anything because of the drought. I am sure that is why the pecans are selling for a good price this year!

Do you have a pecan picker upper? We sell those at the feed store and they are awesome!

Thursday ... I can almost taste the weekend, but gotta get through today first! We don't have tomorrow off, but most of the schools have a vacation day. I'm hoping maybe they'll release us early tomorrow, but I'm not going to count on it. The piano tuner is coming Saturday to make our piano sound nice for the holidays. I only get to play around Christmastime, and only for Mr., who loves everything I play, even if it's played poorly due to lack of practice.

Sitting here waiting for the repairman to fix our oven which could not have broke down at a worse time. Hopefully it can be fixed without costing us too much!

You remind me of a few years ago when my oven broke down in early December. When I phoned Sears to schedule repairs, I got a recorded message notifying me that our microwave was being recalled! So we were without an oven AND microwave for a couple of weeks. Happily, the oven was fixed in time for me to make some cookies before Christmas. Good luck with your repairs!

Christmas brings out the best in everyone, including their best writing. Your post will come from the heart, and it will speak to us. Nothing to worry about!

Good morning Christmas family!
Hope all is well, been fairly busy lately!! Going too make more time for mmc this week!

Absolutely Marvelous, lauriebear! That was awe inspiring and certainly put a smile on my face. Christmas has always been a time that I have enjoyed like a child - as inspired by the actions of my mother, but I will even more so this Season! So excited for it to begin in only a mere few days and I know that I will take this special post with me throughout the Christmas Season. Thank you!

Good morning, everyone!

Thursday! Normall, it would be the day before weekend, but my weekend starts at 3:45 this afternoon. As a federal government "employee" I am a off tomorrow - without pay, albeit. You want more good news? I do not have to return to this job on Monday! Normally, that would be a downer, however, I have landed a casual (90-day work contract) at Health Canada. I will move up the payscales from making minimum wage ($10.25) to somewhere around $18 per hour. I am incredibly excited! The 90 days will last until about the beginning of April, so I am set for the short-term.

My old boss contacted me three weeks ago and asked if I was looking for work. Everything worked out so perfectly. I'd say that I cannot wait to start on Monday, but instead, I am looking forward to something a little closer. Yes, I am looking forward to Sunday. We are only three days away from the beginning of the Christmas Season! Yes, at midnight on Saturday/Sunday, we will chime in the Christmas Season together. Christmas music will play, Christmas films will be watched, and the rest of the world will be filled with the same spirit that we have felt all year long - the Christmas Spirit! Such joy, such excitement!

What a week this will have been. Things are certainly looking up (for me, at least). This new job will allow me to take some additional qualification courses for teaching, too. I am not entirely sure what I will take yet, but I am excited to start doing some school work, once again.

I say looking up, but I must end on a somber note. My grandmother had a small stroke yesterday. This is her third small stroke. I do not know if they are all adding up, but I would ask you all to look out for her. At times, she may weep in her own self-pitty, but she is my grandmother and was always there for me as a child. I really just want her to make a full recover (or as close to it as possible) and be as happy as she can be throughout the Christmas Season. I am excited to see her in just over a month's time. I land in the Sault on the 19th, and I plan on visiting her by myself on the 20th.

Even though I have tomorrow off, I plan on watching (or perhaps attending) the Remembrance Day activities at Parliament Hill. Similar to your Veterans Day in the U.S., we will be saluting and remembering those that fought and died for our country, for our freedom...

Have a great Thursday, everyone! We are on the downslope of the work week and heading faster than ever toward the Christmas Season!!
