Just waking up from a nap...it's getting dark it would be nice to just chill out the rest of the day in bed before the madness of Monday starts. Brandi actually put up all the christmas stuff while I was gone..that is someone helped her,it looks nice and I am glad it was done when I got home! I have been thinking alot the last week about the past...like I always do...about how scary life is if you really sit down and think about all the what if's and it really is best you don't know ahead of time about the ups and down of life. otherwise I would obsess over it anyways! like I am now...oh I think I am going to jump in the jacuzzi!! have a good evening everyone!

A special message from the heart:

As we coast on into Christmas Season 2011, let me express my continuing gratitude for the loyalty and support of our fine members.

Of all the board forums I have ever visited, I have never seen one with the level friendliness and comraderie to the extent I have experienced here.
I can only assume it is because of the subject matter. Christmas just naturally draws out the best in people and draws in the best people.
This site in general and this thread in particular has proven that time and time again, year after year. (And each year more than the one before it!)

You hear more and more talk these days about how society is deteriorating and getting less and less civil.
Well, to those disheartened folks I point to this site where just the opposite is happening!
If you think about it, you'll realize just how lucky we all are to have found this little cyber home and to be a part of it.

Enjoy the next 50 days to the hilt, my friends.
You -- each and every one of you -- deserve it!
yes i agree w/ you crown, this is a great site & all on here are such wonderful people.
Well, it's the 13th, which means it's the start of the Christmas Season proper now (at least according to this thread!)

With that in mind, i'd like to share a song with you to celebrate this day.

thanks dsr i just love dean martin!! really enjoyed that!!
Good Morning everyone! I saw my first house decorated for Christmas last night--then the second about 5 minutes later. Whoo hoo, getting closer! I'm getting our menu for Thanksgiving together, Christmas shopping for the daughter and granddaughters that live in another state (and her husband, I guess), and picking up a few ornaments for us. So many fun things to do! The city where I work has a big holiday parade every year--I'll be taking the granddaughter that lives close to that. It's so much fun to take kids to parades! Well, I need to get ready for church--have a lovely day, everyone!
oh the parade sounds great, have fun!
Merry Christmas Season, Christmas family. It is quite chilly here in northern California. Darlene Love has made her first appearance on KLOU this a.m. I connected up to this station through RJD who started the thread about stations already playing Christmas music. Now with most, if not all, stations streaming, it is easy to find lots of Christmas music early. Then I have Live365 on my computer, too, so I can listen to Christmas music year round. Last night was a blast. It was hard keeping up, but I read every post in real time (maybe a few minutes behind). I hope everyone has a great day. Hubby and I are headed down to the Elks Lodge for a Poor Man's Brunch put on for the hunters. Then I will come back home and do some schoo work. I have parent conferences this coming week. Then we will be off a week for Thanksgiving Vacation. Talk to y'all later. I will be here off and on all day.
good luck w/ all those parents seawaters!!
Hey all

Good evening!

Maureen: I hope you are better soon!!!

Seawaters: I hope you are better soon, too!!!

I am having a dinner break at the moment. Still a bit of paperwork yet to do and then the rest of the evening is mine. I need to finish the Stephen King book I am currently reading as it is due at the library on Tuesday. I have been slogging through it for almost two weeks - this book is way too long at 1000+ pages . . . the end is near, though. If I get done in time, I can start addressing my Christmas cards

Have a MERRY evening!!!!!!!!

Goodnight Sugar!!!!! You'll love having a Hobby Lobby close by.

I am very excitied, as I have read all the discussion on here about the store...

Good Evening Meceka!!!!! Just start typing. It will keep you awake.

Lol...I've actually fallen asleep at the computer before, trying to do stuff!

There's going to be a lot of shocked people in the morning.

It wasn't that I was shocked - I new you guys were going to have a lot of posts - it just took me forever to get through them!

Hurting like an old person. Wait! I am an old person. Got a cold, too, so the Nyquil might put me to sleep before the season gets here. I will try to make it, though!

Hope you feel better soon, Seawaters!

am i the only one from the uk on tonight hope i can stick it out

That was so neat that you were on, Shellie! I bet you're so tired today!

If I didn't have to work tomorrow, I would be downing a pot or two of coffee right now.

That's only way I stay awake at work!

Hello, everyone! I finally finished my second journalism article. Now it's on to finishing my brothers book report. It looks like we have a full day of gluing ahead of us tomorrow. Oh, joy!

You sounds like such a wonderful sister! That's really nice of you to help him!

Hey, when does Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving special come on?

I'm sure if you check Merrychristmastv.net, it will tell you!

I just made 51,000 posts !!

CONGRATS! Good for you, CM3!

Good evening, Christmas family! Welcome to Christmas season 2011! I truly enjoyed reading every one of the posts from last night until now. Some of them were very funny and some very heartfelt. I'm very proud and honored to be a part of this Christmas family. Thank each and everyone of you for letting be a part of your family. Xoxo.

Not much going on here today. I slept in a little while, as I work tonight. The first night back is always the hardest. I've had coffee and hot chocolate both, already preparing for the night!

I've been watching Hallmark this afternoon and evening. The Steelers played early this afternoon. It was a good game - they won!

DH is working nights tonight as well and went to work around 4. They had a fire yesterday and he was late getting home. He hurt his shoulder yesterday - scratched it up pretty bad and it is bothering him today. He fell through a floor. He told me about it last night as we were eating dinner and of course I must have got that look on my face like any wife would. He says to me, "Dear, this kind of stuff happens at work all the time." Yea - I know it does, but I would rather not know about it. Hope he feels better soon.

Well, I hope you're all having a merry day. The Hallmark Channel always has the best movies. It's really getting me in the Christmas spirit! :yahoo:

I see the Santa Clause is on... I have to admit I have never seen it...not a big Tim Allen fan,but I have it tivo'ed so I can fast forward it. Can everyone believe that thanksgiving is 12 days away? It seems the year is spent waiting on fall/Halloween and once Halloween passes it just goes by so fast. I heard from my mom tonight, and said Dad is awake and will hopefully get out of ICU tomorrow. Then he will start working with a physical therapist. My dad was in great shape, watched his diet, and looked so good for his age,,,his problem is plain ole genetics. he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure ate age 35...same as me... so this is a warning to me..but still if he took care of himself and still had a stroke..what is the use anyways..I am sorry for being like this tonight...Hopefully tomorrow when I get back in the swing of things I will be back to normal! Meanwhile I have to wash tons of clothes...watch some Christmas movies...and chill the rest of the night...I hope everyone has a great evening!

I just hit 7,000 posts! YAHHH!

Hi All!

Sorry I've been M.I.A. My sister was visiting nad she left a couple of hours ago (and had to come back b/c she left her keys at my place). Since she left I've been finishing up laundry, deciding on dinner (ended up popping open a can of Chef Boyardee b/c I'm feeling uber lazy), organizing my weekly meds (still working on my pill boxes), and deciding if I want to take a shower now or tomorrow morning (decided on tomorrow morning).

Now I'm eating dinner and watching The Santa Clause on Hallmark.

Whew! :yahoo:

I finally gave in and put on my Christmas pajamas and robe. I just have no energy and feel like crap. Thank goodness for Christmas music. Sugar, hope your husband feels better soon. His job is so important and dangerous, too. You must be proud of him as I am sure he is of you. I think I will lie down for a while. TTYL.

That is such great news, Neal! I am glad to hear you dad is doing better. You never know what can happen. I always say that. A lot of times, no matter how well you take care of yourself, genetics is what does it to you. I have wonderful blood pressure, blood sugar...so on...but have history of blood clots in my family and ended up with one at 20. You just never know. I take really care of myself. It is scary. Still praying for you guys!

Oh and by the way...the Santa Claus is a really good movie. There is 3 of them and I love all three!

Sorry I've been M.I.A. My sister was visiting

I hope you had a great visit with your sister!

Aww...I hope you feel better. Hope that putting on some pajamas and the robe will help. Maybe if you're a tea drinker, that could help too. I'm very proud of him. VERY proud. And thanks for the good wishes. He's very proud of me too.

Congratulations are definitely in order!!!

Thanks! I can't believe how quickly the posts add up, especially when it's closer to Christmas!

Ordered Pizza Hut 45 minutes ago and they said it would only take around 30 minutes to deliver. I am starting to get a little testy...

I think I will sign off for the evening. I have physical therapy tomorrow morning and after-school intervention tomorrow afternoon. And right now I am exhausted even though I have done nothing all day! Have a great evening, everyone.

I like the Santa Claus series!

Glad to hear your father is recovering. It might be a long hard road for him, then again it might not. I have seen many recover from strokes and everyone if different.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Okay so I just checked my local 15 day forecast..and we are suppose to be like in the 80's al the way through the end of Novemeber! 20Degrees above average for this time of year..maybe it's too early to panic, but this is turning out to be a warm warm fall. I looked for the Forecast in the pacific NW and it's the opposite..so at least it will be seasonal when I am up there next week. I could see the snow in the mountains.ALthough it snows where my folks live it's more rain storms in the winter. they live in a valley but there is ski resort 2 hours away. I hope to go when I am up there if I have the time. Oh and we are 7 weeks away from baby due date... we have decided on the name... it's going to be Jordan after my father in laws middle name. I really have a feeling he is going to make an early arrival...talk about nervous!!! next weekend is the baby shower and we have already finished the room. I hope I remember everything I learned in class!! I don't get queezy easy so I don't worry about passing out or anything. does that really happend in real life I wonder or it is just on tv!! Have a good night everyone 4 am comes awful early!
