yes last night was fun!
One question, just how big is your house that you are able to pick it up?
It's big....and I'm strong!

This race certainly isn't going to keep you awake.
Once again, you are right!

yes i agree w/ you crown, this is a great site & all on here are such wonderful people.A special message from the heart:
As we coast on into Christmas Season 2011, let me express my continuing gratitude for the loyalty and support of our fine members.
Of all the board forums I have ever visited, I have never seen one with the level friendliness and comraderie to the extent I have experienced here.
I can only assume it is because of the subject matter. Christmas just naturally draws out the best in people and draws in the best people.
This site in general and this thread in particular has proven that time and time again, year after year. (And each year more than the one before it!)
You hear more and more talk these days about how society is deteriorating and getting less and less civil.
Well, to those disheartened folks I point to this site where just the opposite is happening!
If you think about it, you'll realize just how lucky we all are to have found this little cyber home and to be a part of it.
Enjoy the next 50 days to the hilt, my friends.
You -- each and every one of you -- deserve it!
thanks dsr i just love dean martin!! really enjoyed that!!Well, it's the 13th, which means it's the start of the Christmas Season proper now (at least according to this thread!)
With that in mind, i'd like to share a song with you to celebrate this day.

oh the parade sounds great, have fun!Good Morning everyone! I saw my first house decorated for Christmas last night--then the second about 5 minutes later. Whoo hoo, getting closer! I'm getting our menu for Thanksgiving together, Christmas shopping for the daughter and granddaughters that live in another state (and her husband, I guess), and picking up a few ornaments for us. So many fun things to do! The city where I work has a big holiday parade every year--I'll be taking the granddaughter that lives close to that. It's so much fun to take kids to parades! Well, I need to get ready for church--have a lovely day, everyone!
good luck w/ all those parents seawaters!!Merry Christmas Season, Christmas family. It is quite chilly here in northern California. Darlene Love has made her first appearance on KLOU this a.m. I connected up to this station through RJD who started the thread about stations already playing Christmas music. Now with most, if not all, stations streaming, it is easy to find lots of Christmas music early. Then I have Live365 on my computer, too, so I can listen to Christmas music year round. Last night was a blast. It was hard keeping up, but I read every post in real time (maybe a few minutes behind). I hope everyone has a great day. Hubby and I are headed down to the Elks Lodge for a Poor Man's Brunch put on for the hunters. Then I will come back home and do some schoo work. I have parent conferences this coming week. Then we will be off a week for Thanksgiving Vacation. Talk to y'all later. I will be here off and on all day.
Hey all
Glad last night was a superduper success - next one.........DARLENE LOVE!!!
I'm an incubus of viral plague right now. I'm now on vacation for a week and have landed with b*tch cold from he ll :-( I've got the works and then some and am feeling particularly sorry for myself.
Just wanted to say hi, yay for the season, and will now go fester under a quilt. I even turned off my Christmas movies; that is the extent of my yuck-ness!!!
bless your heart maureen, i'm so sorry you fell so yucky. i'll be praying for you!!:merry:
Goodnight Sugar!!!!! You'll love having a Hobby Lobby close by.
Good Evening Meceka!!!!! Just start typing. It will keep you awake.
There's going to be a lot of shocked people in the morning.
Hurting like an old person. Wait! I am an old person. Got a cold, too, so the Nyquil might put me to sleep before the season gets here. I will try to make it, though!
am i the only one from the uk on tonight hope i can stick it out
If I didn't have to work tomorrow, I would be downing a pot or two of coffee right now.
Hello, everyone! I finally finished my second journalism article. Now it's on to finishing my brothers book report. It looks like we have a full day of gluing ahead of us tomorrow. Oh, joy!![]()

I just hit 7,000 posts! YAHHH!
I see the Santa Clause is on... I have to admit I have never seen it...not a big Tim Allen fan,but I have it tivo'ed so I can fast forward it. Can everyone believe that thanksgiving is 12 days away? It seems the year is spent waiting on fall/Halloween and once Halloween passes it just goes by so fast. I heard from my mom tonight, and said Dad is awake and will hopefully get out of ICU tomorrow. Then he will start working with a physical therapist. My dad was in great shape, watched his diet, and looked so good for his age,,,his problem is plain ole genetics. he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure ate age 35...same as me... so this is a warning to me..but still if he took care of himself and still had a stroke..what is the use anyways..I am sorry for being like this tonight...Hopefully tomorrow when I get back in the swing of things I will be back to normal! Meanwhile I have to wash tons of clothes...watch some Christmas movies...and chill the rest of the night...I hope everyone has a great evening!
Sorry I've been M.I.A. My sister was visiting
I finally gave in and put on my Christmas pajamas and robe. I just have no energy and feel like crap. Thank goodness for Christmas music. Sugar, hope your husband feels better soon. His job is so important and dangerous, too. You must be proud of him as I am sure he is of you. I think I will lie down for a while. TTYL.
Congratulations are definitely in order!!!
so glad he was not hurt to bad. We so appreciate all our first responders, bravest people I know!Good evening, Christmas family! Welcome to Christmas season 2011! I truly enjoyed reading every one of the posts from last night until now. Some of them were very funny and some very heartfelt. I'm very proud and honored to be a part of this Christmas family. Thank each and everyone of you for letting be a part of your family. Xoxo.
Not much going on here today. I slept in a little while, as I work tonight. The first night back is always the hardest. I've had coffee and hot chocolate both, already preparing for the night!
I've been watching Hallmark this afternoon and evening. The Steelers played early this afternoon. It was a good game - they won!
DH is working nights tonight as well and went to work around 4. They had a fire yesterday and he was late getting home. He hurt his shoulder yesterday - scratched it up pretty bad and it is bothering him today. He fell through a floor. He told me about it last night as we were eating dinner and of course I must have got that look on my face like any wife would. He says to me, "Dear, this kind of stuff happens at work all the time." Yea - I know it does, but I would rather not know about it. Hope he feels better soon.
Well, I hope you're all having a merry day. The Hallmark Channel always has the best movies. It's really getting me in the Christmas spirit! :yahoo:
