Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a chilly one here in central Indy. My niece is going to be here in a few minutes and I'll probably have her until lunch time. Then I want to do some more decorating. Maybe I can even convience my niece to help me this morning. I'll try to get caught up this afternoon but I'm praying for all of you. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good Pinesday morning everyone!

Well last night was fun! My Wife was at a workshop for work so it was just William and I. We ordered pizza and he had two pieces. We watched A Year Without a Santa Claus, Garfield Christmas and some Scooby Doo. Lots of fun! I heard my first Christmas song on the radio on the way to work. Never heard that song before but it was upbeat! I'm still scanning all the radio channels everyday for 24/7 stations for Christmas music. London SUCKS for that. Boo. If I was in Windsor I would have 100.3 from Detroit. BUT NOOOooo. They block me from getting the radio station online because I cant get it on the radio. Sheesh! Oh well.

Carl sure is dancing up a storm! He is bursting with Christmas cheer now that the season is here!

Hope everyone has a great day! See you at the Pines!

Bonjour every one!

Just an other day of working for school and listening to christmas music! I don't know of some of you remember that last year I was feeling all bad, because of every one pulling on us to visit them on christmas and we would be feeling all bad? This year is going to be great! We get to spend christmas eve in our own beautiful new home :D and my boyfriends parents have been amazing, all understanding how difficult it is for my family to get all together (i have 4 brothers, of who two live in hours away, and one has a girlfriend who's parents aren't easy at all!) so they've been telling us they understand that what christmas is really about is being together, and that they are glad that they can spend time with us, no matter if it's on the first or the second day of christmas :D now i can start planning with my mother, because my sister in law said we will all be with my parents on the first day of christmas :D i am so thrilled i can hardly concentrate on my book and essay!

Wish every one a lovely lovely day!
Sounds wonderful! You will so enjoy this Christmas.

Good morning! My a/c ran all night and when I went out at 4 am it was still 70f,high today around 84 but at least it should be cloudy. I miss cloudy weather with it being sunny 99.9 percent of the time. It should cool off the next few days and I am really looking forward to that! I am so not trying to get my hopes up but the 15 day forecast at accuweather.com is saying a major cooldown coming around the 27th of november. which is like day12 of the forecast, looks like thanksigiving willstill be mild.
The Dr went good yesterday and now we have to go back every 2 weeks. Luckily friday is her last day teaching until after the baby comes because she is not sleeping good at night andI know she feels bad during the day too. The baby was not flipping and flopping like he was at 16 weeks of course he don't have as much room to now,in fact he looked a bit cramped.lol I think he will come around the 18th of december...don't know why I think that Jan 3rd seems so way off in terms of how she really looks..everyone thinks she is due anyday now..of course I lie and say no you don't!ugh...God will forgive me..I hope everyone has a good day.I hope it's a fast one!
babies come when babies come....my second daughter was due on the 12th of January and came on the 14th of December, weighing in at 7lbs 4oz.
With my 3rd I slept in a recliner the last 6 weeks because I could not get comfortable any place else. It does get uncomfortable near the end, but remember it is near the end!
My first was 16 days late, thought I would be pregnant forever.
So hang in there, every baby does things in their own time.
Then there are the times when you find out God has a great sense of humor...Jeannine was supposed to be Benjamin!
So enjoy these last days of peace and quiet, because your life will never be the same again.

evening all, watching Farewell Mr. Kringle I didn't get a chance to last year. I did myself wondering what is happening here and love to che k in...But, not all good news from me today, I have a group of six young adults in my youth group and one of them ran away from home B came from a broken home, his mom is currently in prison, father cannot be found, his family isn't really a place you would want to put a child, he is 15 he has no idea of what is out there really, I thought I was making a dent, but I guess not, it hurts and I know it shouldn't I want to find him and tell him I know how, out feel, not wanted, alone, and a little afraid, but you don't have to think that, you can make a change, it isn't easy, it will be down right painful at times but the rewards are so great. This Saturday we were doing a Thanksgiving with another youth house, B will be missed, even if the cops find him he will go to JV hall, this was a gift. I hope he finds his way, I hope he realizes that he does matter and he too is worthy of love. I try to tell them in group you need to find it in yourself to love you because until you do you will never know when someone else does. I listen to them I treat them with kindness and respect and I hate to say this I think at first they have no idea how to accept it so they are rude, but over time they learn, and every so often I hear them say please, excuse me, or may I it put s a smile on my face. I am often asked by the kids about myself I try to be honest but within reason. Sorry I unloaded here tonight I just had to get it off my mind in a positive way this will help me move forward.

Good night everyone
Wow Laurie! That is a tough job you have there. Are you able to visit him in JV hall to chat with him?

You are right to treat them with kindness no matter how they act because they have probably been brought up around rudeness and expect everyone to treat them that way as well. I remember some boys back in some apartments I use to help manage (I lived there too) and every adult seemed to have it in for them. They did get in trouble sometimes but they were not that bad. I never had any problems with them, they just needed a little kindness and they treated me with respect right back. I knew of one other lady that was nice to them as well and they treated her with respect too. All the other adults, in my opinion, were mean to them.

Keep up the good work. I know what you are going through is heart breaking but I know you are making a difference in these young lives!

******* CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 4 *******

Wednesday.....am I too early for the Pines????? I've had 3 cups of coffee in preparation and I'm ready to go......
Oh, you're never too early for the 'Pines!

Good Hump Day Morning, Fellow Season Travelers.

We have indeed reached the peak-of-the-week, and Carl says the view to the weekend from the Shispering Pines' upper deck is breathtaking!

And since we are now in the Season, the 'Pines is decorated to the hilt, but with lots of Thanksgiving decor items also as Carl does not like that holiday to be forgotten in the Christmas rush.
Along with the usual free first fired twinkie and beverage choice, each visitor will be supplied with a free ear of Indian corn to take home as a Thanksgiving ornament.
(Isn't that camel thoughtful!)

OK!
Onward with our count:
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 8 (ONE WEEK from tomorrow, Folks. I can almost hear the Parade!)
Days to Christmas Day: 39 (Barely over 5 1/2 weeks, now!)

Well, we are already up to 69 degrees this morning! But this will be our last warm day for a while, according to the weather service.
Still no rain but storms are possible later today or tonight.

You have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone.
See you at the 'Pines!
(Right, Holiday?)

And with this post, Seawaters is poster #25,400. It's about time she won something!!! I think she wins a gift card to Tiffany's.
If anyone has earned a Tiffany's gift card, it's her! cheesy

I am thankful for my job but I am just getting to the point where I can hardly type some of these folks some days......Say a prayer for me to be able to keep going, would you ? xox
Hang in there girl! I will say a prayer!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm in a holding pattern here at work, waiting to hear back from one engineer. An entire $3 million project is on hold, waiting for this guy to make it to work. Sheesh!

My wife and daughter a leaving Friday afternoon for a weekend at my daughter's "Dance Camp" in Daytona, FL. I figured my son and I would do the guy-thing; hunting, eating hot wings, watching action flicks, etc. But a cousin of his is coming down from Atlanta this weekend, so they'll be doing their own thing. I guess it'll just be me with hot wings and Star Trek reruns.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good Morning Christmas Friends!
Hope your day is off to a good start. Mine is considering I have the next four days off! Where I work we have a few inches of snow! In town we had a "skiff" but it has since blown away. I plan to do some Christmas shopping in the next couple of days. I have started but still have alot to do. Can't wait to start decorating my home and do some Christmas baking. I plan to join my brothers family for Thanksgiving this year. I am looking forward to wonderful food and good company. Have a great day friends!

Morning y'all!!!

thought I would write something here and to anyone I missed forgive me!! Just trying to make at least one person laugh today! So here it goes........

twas almost a month before Christmas and all Thu the forums,
everyone was excited, as Crown 84 counts em down for us!
Jeff was busy with a new pod cast,
and was havin fun wholeheartedly,
RJD, Jayish and CJ498 was spinning tunes,
for our World's Largest Christmas Party.
MerryChristmasTV and DvdGuy made sure we watched what we wanted,
as George Broderick, Jr. drawed us.

MerryCarey,Christmas-A-Holic, merrymistletoe, and Christmasstar
strung tinsel and holly all around the room,
when from outside we all heard a big BOOM!!

We all ran to the windows and threw up the sash
and we saw the front of the Pines had became hash!
thanks to made582, Undrtakr and gabulldawg who,
tried to make a fire, and used gasoline too!

Rodmonster was laughing, Maureen was shaking her head
as AuntieMistletoeDear Yelled "We'll make the smores over
the fire place instead!

Chef Matt and Seawaters was baking away as
Spyells, shellie12 and kerstig wrapped more presents without delay.
Caninemom3 and snow in texas was stringing popcorn for
the tree. Michelleloveschristmas, judesmama and Mumof2
was caroling away in sweet harmony!

JanaBanana and One Spoiled Brat put the tree up,
Bradmac said "I have eggnog, anyone want a cup?"
Elf Ernest grabbed some, Santa did too and when
kekemapa35 got hers she smiled and said "thank you!"

As for me lilnoelelf, I looked around in awe,
looking from the tall to the small.
as Santa turned and bent down to whisper in my ear
"this is what it's about, being with "your Christmas family"
spreading cheer 24/7 365 days out of the year!

Hope y'all have a blessed day see ya this evening!:yahoo:

Happy first 'Pines Day of the Season! What an exciting day. So exciting that I figured I should quote Crown's entire countdown post! We are truly closing in on Christmas Day. I love that the Season is in full swing. It has been nothing but Christmas music for me since Sunday. Tonight, I believe Kim and I may take in a Christmas movie, too. Elf, perhaps.

Sorry for not making it on the past couple of days. I have been "busy" at my new job. Well, not entirely busy, but I haven't had computer access until today. My account finally came in and now I am able to do what they have hired me for!

Not much else has changed. Great to be back at the 'Pines for the mid-week celebrations. Carl has done a fantastic job with the celebrations. And the Indian corn is much appreciated! It will look great on my Christmas tree. I should post some photos of the tree soon!

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! Hope your week has been swell so far. It is a happy sight to see the rest of the world becoming filled with the Christmas Spirit!

Morning y'all!!!

WOW!!! My first post of the day to read and it was a GREAT smile maker!!! You ROCK!!!

So sorry to hear that...I'll pray for this kid....so sad...

lilnoelelf, I love the poem! And I love being part of this family!

Wednesday ... my Kindle Fire is supposed to be delivered today, so I'll have fun getting that up and running in the next couple days. But the cover is back-ordered and isn't due to arrive until the end of the month. Boo! I'll have to keep it in the box for protection, or see if Staples has a cheapo cover I can use in the interim.

I'm still having a hard time realizing that Thanksgiving is next week! Next Wednesday (cross your fingers) should be a short day at work. And then everyone will feel free to indulge in Christmas spirit! I'll be bringing my little Rudolph characters to put in little barn at the office, plus my coat-hanger tree, and maybe a battery-operated LED wreath for the window.

But, not all good news from me today, I have a group of six young adults in my youth group and one of them ran away from home ...

Prayers going up for this young man. Maybe he's just withdrawing to think things through alone, and maybe he'll be back with a new perspective on things? I'll be hoping for the best. I hope you get a chance to speak with him again to let him know you're still there for him.

I am thankful for my job but I am just getting to the point where I can hardly type some of these folks some days......Say a prayer for me to be able to keep going, would you ? xox

You're in my thoughts as ever, CM3---hang in there! Those lovely three days off for Thanksgiving are closer than ever!

Wednesday.....am I too early for the Pines????? I've had 3 cups of coffee in preparation and I'm ready to go......

Binger, are you going to let happyelf get ahead of you? Or have you already had a couple potsful of java this morning? cheesy
