The office is supposed to close early today, but you never know ... sometimes people leaving early dump work on the proofreader's desk that needs to be done by Monday morning, so it's not unusual for me and Mr. to be stuck at our desks for a while after the office closes. Bleh. :march:

We'll have a quiet little Thanksgiving for two tomorrow. Looking forward to that and the long weekend.

Just finished my Thanksgiving baking. Thought I'd share a pie with you.

Looks yummy!

I love Eeyore and this is just too cute !!

When I was little, we adopted a kitten from a household that named all their pets after Winne-the-Pooh characters. The Manx cat was named Eeyore, because he had no tail!

Sorry don't want to spoil your mood, but I am sad right now and need to rant a little.

Yesterday we (=family) recieved a official letter from our landlady (house owner). She informed us that she will be vacating our flat to march 2012 the latest. Our house will be teared down sometime around July or August 2012! We lived there since 18 years and it's a big shock to us.

It won't be easy to rent a new flat, because we live in a region with high rents and I am not sure my parents will be able to pay such high rents. If they move away, my mother will be forced to quit her job and search a new one, which doesn't make it any easier.

Now my sister and I have look if we find an affordable flat for ourself, because then my parents can choose a smaller flat which will be cheaper. Could you please pray for us? That would be soooo nice!

Oh, what an awful shock ... I hope things turn out all right for you. Perhaps something even better will come along.

Ohhh, I would love a cocoa!!!!

Just for you:

Are you kidding me? The one day I watch the Good Morning Show and Justin Bieber is on there? Give me a break!

I am still having difficulty with getting my energy going. Went to physical therapy and then to a doctor's appointment. I slept all the way home (about 45 minutes). I hope all of you have a great afternoon!

Sorry to read this SW, I am thinking of you and wishing all good things and a speedy recovery!!!

Good evening,

First of all, I just want to apologize for being pretty anti-social for the last week, it has been probably the roughest week I have ever had at work, but all my numbers are way up, and for that reason I got one of my associates finally promoted to full time. I feel good for him, he has done a great job and it is well deserved for him. We have been kicking butt, and my area has carried the store. Tomorrow, no rest for the weary here, I am planning to get all of my outdoor decorating done, and two of my trees inside up and lights on them.

I am exhausted again, I will wish you all a good night!

Never apologize when you are doing awesome things to help others!! I am glad you were able to help out one of your associates!!! AWESOME Xmas, more bosses should take a Que from you!!!

Thanksgiving is in a couple of days. What are you thankful for?

I agree with Coach, I am VERY thankful for all of you! Even though we never met face to face I feel a close bond with you all and enjoy our conversations throughout the year.

I am thankful for my family, friends, furchildren, my job, my church, my home and all the other necessities that God has provided me.

Even if you are somewhere you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, still tell us what you are thankful for. =)

Thank you CAH, I too am thankful for this wonderful website and all of you here that I now hold dear to me. I am thankful for my work, and those I work with, my furry babies, my husband (who let's me be just as goofy as I want to be), for my good health, my church and church family, my friends, and all the "little" things he has blessed me with... As well as second, and third, and fourth chances...

Tomorrow from 8-3....school

Tomorrow at 3:00- Thanksgiving 2011 begins!

Action packed day tomorrow and Wednesday. I have my schedule made out and I"m ready to go....I am so excited. Pretty much cooking non-stop from tomorrow until Wednesday around 5:00....I plan on nothing but cooking and reading posts for 1.5 days....

I'm so thankful for all of you....

Happy Thanksgiving, family.

THANK YOU Coach!!! Again well said!!!

Good Morning, Christmas family!

Just wanted to stop by & say hello~ Hope all is well!

My wonderful husband surprised me & went out and bought some battery operated lights for the garlands on the staircase. They look fabulous! You can either put them on just white lights, multi-colored, or a mixture of both. I love them, just what I was looking for.

It's so wonderful to have Christmas music on the radio, movies on tv, and have all of you here!

Thinking of you all today and everyday.

Now there is some real bad TV for sure... Oh sorry Bieber fans but as MC stated about work..... BLAH!!!!!!! For sure on the Biebsssssss........

Neal: Sorry to hear about your dad's results. You're right about being thankful that he is still alive. Hopefully he can be at peace with what he has been dealt and live the rest of his life to the fullest. All the best to you and your entire family on your Thanksgiving.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVE!!!

Oh, I love that it's Thanksgiving Eve. Now time can slow down so we can enjoy every minute!!!!

Looking forward to our Turkey Trot at 9am tomorrow, then coffee & muffins after at our house while watching The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, then the dog show will be on, though I probably won't sit & watch the whole thing - then Miracle On 34th Street at 2:00, and during/after the movie, all chaos will break out with 40 people coming through our door! :???: Woo Hooo! Our house & food is almost all ready for the festivities to begin. Just a few things to finish up tonight! LOVE IT!!!

Dawg - I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. That is such a hard transition for patient & family! There is no chance through therapy that he will get any feeling/movement back? My Dad had to go on anti-depresent pills for awhile after his stroke. Just something to keep in mind, especially since he was so active. How devastating for him! I will keep you all in my prayers. Stroke stinks!!! :(

Merry Bells - the pumpkin pie looks DELISH!

Good morning, everyone!

Happy 'Pines Day! Great to see that Carl has decorated festively! Although I have already celebrated Thanksgiving, it is still great to see the decorations... and, of course, I love pumpkin pie, so that free slice was greatly appreciated!

Aside from 'Pines Day - today is very special. I awoke to about four inches of snow on the ground. Yes, we have finally received snow! Unfortunately, the snow will be gone by the weekend. A warm system is moving into Ottawa and unseasonably warm temperature are to move in just in time for the weekend.

Oh, also, tonight, Kim, Mike and I are attending Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Scotiabank Place! Kim and I attended two years ago - last yera I was in North Bay - and Mike has never been. We're all very excited!

In other strange news, just as I am getting settled in and enjoying my new job, I have received an interview for a position until the end of March at Algonquin College. The main problem is that I do not remember any specifics about the position. My current government position is fantastic. I like it. But, it is also scheduled to end at about the same time. Both positions could warrant an extension, too. Tough calls here. As a Bachelor of Education graduate, working at a school/college would also look good on my resume. Also, it could help me make connections and possibly teach/profess at the college. So many different scenerios!?

Oh well. I will think it over throughout the day. Perhaps I will make a phone call and let her know of my interest this evening. Until then, I will continue to enjoy the Christmas Season! It is in full-gear and the wonderful winter's snow made me smile along my entire walk to the bus stop. I can't wait for it to return full-time.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone!!

Good Morning, Christmas friends!!!

I probably won't be around much tomorrow, just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

I came across this, and thought it was funny:

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!

Hahaha!

Hope you have a beautiful turkey day with your loved ones!

GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family is keeping your family in our prayers. My Dad went from being very active, to almost nothing (mentally and physically) after a rough surgery when he was 80. Hang in there; we are all sending hugs your way.

WooHoo!!!!! My local radio station finally switched to all Christmas music!!!!!!!! Maybe all of our voting convinced them to do it 2 days earlier than normal.

Just a quick note to say good morning, Christmas friends. I am still under the weather but feel a tad bit better. I still have a cough but I know I am on the mend. I, too, hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. It is definitely one of my favorite holidays; that plus Christmas. I will be at the Pines later. The smell of pumpkin pie from my computer is awesome!
