I forgot my brother is coming weds!! I could not get off work because of my christmas vacation time,with all the hectic things happening I totally forgot he was flyin in,luckily he is renting a car in Atlanta and driving down...now I just hope to hope he does not plan on doing anything for my 37th BD..I hate BD anyway...when I was a kid i never wanted to get presents because it was embarassing to have to open everything if front of everyone..same goes for Christmas..I still try to escape during the time when we open gifts. Now I do want cake,but that's it! I guess I will watch hallmark all day,it looks like they have a pretty good line up for today!

Enjoy the visit with your brother. That will be so nice he is coming in to spend time with you for your birthday. Happy early birthday to you incase you forget to mention it again and incase I forget!

I haven't been around the last few days with Thanksgiving and all but also because I hate to admit I am not feeling terribly Christmassy right now and I don't want to bring anyone down. My spirits have just been very low the last couple of days....I don't know what is wrong....In fact, I have hardly felt like even turning on my tree......very odd for me..

As Dawg posted, you don't have to ever worry about bringing us down. We're here for you to talk to, CM3. You can always share whatever you need to. Glad to have read further on in the posts that you were feeling better. Keep listening to Christmas music, watching movies, coming to MMC, or doing whatever keeps you in the spirit of Christmas!

***breaking news alert***it looks like it is going to snow for the first time this year tomorrow night in Ga,up in the mountains of course,no where near me,but still it's snow!

That's sooo exciting! We've had one snow fall so far this year and that was the one that affected the east coast when we all got hit hard, with the power outages and such. I wish we would soon get some more! How far our you from the mountains, Neal?

We are having our Thanksgiving dinner in about an hour: maple-brined turkey with a Jack Daniels mustard-wine sauce, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, green bean casserole, homemade refrigerator rolls, cranberry sauce, cranberry jello with apples and a great topping. I can hardly wait!!!

That sounds, delicious, Seawaters! Any leftovers for me? I never did get any leftovers from my turkey dinner. My DH said he told my parents we didn't need any. Oh come on...are you serious? I would have ate them at some point and for a man to not to want leftovers...

This weekend I am supposed to go to my sister's for our sister tree decorating Saturday and to also celebrate her birthday. I can't wait to be with her again.

I folded. The tree is up and running. Me and my family decorated our whole house as well. So happy.

I hope to get mine up this evening. My DH had to work overtime last evening and we wanted to do it as a family, so we will hopefully do it tonight.

First I sign my travel plans with my travel agency! The cost of my journey decreased quite a lot

That's great news! Cheaper is always better, as long as your still getting good service, it's always a plus!

We only have dial-up internet in our part of the county so I can't really visit this site at home. That limits my number of posts but I certainly enjoy this site when I can visit. Have a great day everyone.

Well, two days at work, then very early Wednesday morning, I'm on a plane to Ohio. I did a lot of my packing yesterday, despite being in the third day of a wicked stomach bug. I'm hoping that it'll have run its course by the time I get on the plane! I'm looking forward to seeing my family, especially my granddaughters, no matter what the circumstances.

Hope you start feeling better soon. Have a safe flight. I will be thinking about you this week. Praying for you and your family.

I am exhausted after physical therapy. We're have leftovers for lunch, then I go in to work. The first thing I will do is put on the local Christmas station and play Christmas music all afternoon. Have a great day, everyone!

Hi everyone. Hope you're all having a great day so far. For all of you that are feeling under the weather today, hope you feel better soon. I had a terrible night at work last night. I walked into a mess and I walked out on a mess. Two bad outcomes. Sometimes why I don't like my job, but it also comes with it.

Anyway, nothing new here really. DH has worked the past 34 hours and should be home here around 5 with the kids from daycare. We should be putting up the tree tonight and unless something changes. I see on MerryChristmastv.net that How a Christmas Stole Christmas and Sherk Christmas is on tonight. I would love to watch them, but that is about the time I need to nap. Hope some of you guys can catch it for me!

Well, I hope you are all having a great day/early evening. I will check back in at some point. It's so nice to be decorated for Christmas. I have music playing a gingebread candle burning. I wish it could be like this 365 days a year! :dance:

Oh, and we saw The Muppets on Friday night, too. What a fantastic film! I may have already mentioned it, but it was such an enjoyable movie. I laughed plenty!

Have you ever been to New York, especially at Christmas time? It's beautiful there this time of year. My DH has never been there before and I told him we need to go sometime when it's decorated for Christmas. He would love it.

Nope! Ricks' is at Castle Park Right? or at least it use to be,now it's called something else,I don't go there anymore,,,wayy to young crowd for me,Mixers was in downtown in the historic district,it's closed now too I think,I use to bartend and was a bouncer there. I loved bartending because I made hella lot of $$ on tips,but I got tired of getting home at 6am on sunday mornings!

Oh man...Castle Park sounds familiar...but I also thought it was near Five Points...? Or wait, maybe that was Illusions...lol. I don't think I was ever at Mixers then, but I'd definitely heard about it! Can't imagine that I skipped that place during my college years.

I'll just say that I'm beginning to understand why people shoot their TV's.

This literally made me LOL. I understand it too, especially whenever the freakin' Kohl's Black Friday commercial came out.

DF bought a wireless printer for the two of us, which we are pretty excited about! With our current printer, his computer has to be on in order for me to print something from my laptop, which has been not happening lately since all of a sudden it stopped working. So now he is also looking for a new computer, probably a Mac!

Evening christmas friends
Hope all is good with you this evening
Got somemore outdoor decor up today still have some to do.
I am finding it really hard to get sorted this year. as a lot of it is american and i have to run it of a 110 v box and its barley ever stops raining
I no some of you guys say you wood love it to rain. but if you had to live with it for a week or even two . you wood get fed up with it. am that fed up with it i have even begin to think it wood be better to live somewhere else.
And as well a mate who has a bad leg at the moment excepts me to go to her which is about 9 mile away. and help put up her indoor and outdoor stuff ,if i dont do it she will not get it up as her partner is for nothing. she moved away with him to his town and has no friends down there.i have tryed to explain to her i might not be able to do it as i have that much to do this week . but i feel guily
I still have not my shop window done yet almost every other one has theres done and the pallets are coming in now almost very day.
And to beat it all a guy we hand rear birds for landed on saturday with 5. 2 day old chicks. which for the 1st week have to be fed every 3 hours even during the night. i have fed then about half hour ago and will set the alarm for 3 am again.
So thats my ranting and raving over........
Have bought a good few gifts on the internet as i can get away at the moment. so its a start.
Today on one of the pallets ther was these 2 turkeys and you should see then go.they walk.and they gobble. if i had of had then when the gobble competition was on i wood have rung in and played it over the phone.
Hope all is good with all fur babies..wish.palmer,harlowe and the ones i dont no.
