I'll be out of the office for a few hours today. My mother-in-law's sister passesd away Wednesday, and the funeral is today. She lived in Atlanta, but visited often. She'll be buried here in the family cemetary. She was a great lady, and I'll miss her. Her grandson and my son have become great friends (as well as cousins), and I think he'll be staying with us this weekend.

My condolences to you and your family.

Hi everyone. Getting ready to go out with DH and the kids and do
some shopping.

Well, I found out that all my pain is just my back, but she diagnosed me with like 4 or 5 different issues. Now I have to start seeing the chiropractor again. Hope it helps!

Talk to you guys all here later on!

Hope the pain goes away soon and glad to hear its not something more serious!

Good Morning, friends!

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you all are having a jolly day so far

We got some great news yesterday that I wanted to share! Harlowe just had some more labs done earlier in the week to check her progress, and the results came back with her Liver & Gallbladder in the normal range! Yippee! So ecstatic she is doing better...it has taken 6 months, but it finally happened and that's all that really matters. We're so relieved and happy, the best Christmas present we could've gotten!!!!!!

Here's one of my favorite pictures of Harlowe! ----> View attachment 1056

*Thanks to all who have been thinking of her, and saying prayers* They are greatly appreciated xo

We are enjoying all of your Christmas cards immensely~ thank you again!

Have a wonderful weekend! Hope it's Christmassy!

Glad to hear Harlowe is doing good and the tests were good! Very cute picture of Harlowe too! :D

Well I just got some bad news. My sister's neighbor has a son that is 17 and confined to a wheelchair because of MS. They took him into the hospital with what they thought was pneumonia earlier this week but it turned out that it was fluid on the lungs and his gallbladder. Yesterday they determined that his heart wasn't working at full capacity and today it has gotten even worse. Right now they don't think he will make it through the weekend. So if you could just say a quick prayer for him and his family I would appreciate it.

Very sorry to hear about your sister's neighbor's son, prayers for him for a miracle recovery.

finished baking 6 dozen little cookies and just put my cheese cake in the oven (takes an hour to bake that one)

Now I can sit and relax for a little while!

Good evening, Christmas family! Hope you're all having a great evening! Just sitting here, trying to watch a Muppet's Christmas Carol with EA. DH just took her in for a bath, so I thought I would catch up on the countdown.

I made homemade chicken pot pie for dinner...mmmm. DH made blueberry muffins for breakfast in the morning then right after I got that out of the oven. It's going to be a great weekend!

To follow up on my post from this am, the PA put me on two different medicines for my back to help with the pain, the inflammation, and the spasms. Hope it helps.

Well, I hope everyone is well. I will try to get all of the posts read from today. Just going to watch Christmas movies the rest of the night and spend time with DH once the kids are in bed!

Good afternoon, my Christmas family! Boy, I sure have missed you guys!

I was nine days (yep, you read it right, nine days!) behind on the Countdown. All caught up now, though . . . YAY!!!!!!!!!! I managed to do it while working, too. I can multi-task quite well at times!

This morning I cleaned house with Palmer following behind. As a result, I cleaned house twice  She is quite the little mischief maker now . . . or as my brother likes to say, "Quite the little Dickens!" One broken antique lamp, cat litter strewn from one end of her area to the other, toys all over the place and one extremely irritated Maui. P is now sleeping angelically in her cat bed where she is going to stay for a few hours, at least! Gosh, I love having her around so much. I never realized how much fun a kitten could be as all of the ones I've had have been outside cats.

I need to get back to work . . . Christmas movies are playing in the background, snow is on the ground, I've been receiving word that my cards and packages have been making it to their destinations and a few have been making it to me, too . . . it is getting a bit Christmassy here!

Have a MERRY day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
meceka, sounds like you & palmer had quite a day!
Good afternoon, dear Christmas family

Still have the bug but it isn't so bad.....I am off today and tomorrow and I am being quite the lump today.....just sitting in front of the fire with Wish by me with Christmas music playing.

I am hoping to make it to my company's Christmas party next Friday. My husband who does most of the driving is scheduled to work but he said he will see if he can switch things. I know how to drive I just HATE doing it.......I just get so scared .....another one of my eccentricities I guess...

Thank you, everyone, for saying I should be welcome at the Christmas party and Yes, I think Carl should go too !!

Meceka - How nice to see you back here again..We all missed you so much !! ((Hugs))

I wanted to tell everyone that so far Lily has just been the BEST little kitten about the tree !! She does not climb it. She and her brother Smokey play around it and in fact, Smokey guards it !! I think that he thinks it is HIS tree !! Siamese are such characters !!

I think it is time for a nap....my head is starting to pound again......so Wish and I are off to the land of sugar plums dancing in our heads...xo

Take care,Christmas family xo ((HUGS)) to everyone xo

I am still feeling a bit rough today and just laying around being a bum! I have been on the run all week even with this cold. It's just time to stay in bed and rest but I feel I need to do something productive. I know Wayne will tell me to JUST REST and take care of myself. I will watch Christmas shows today!

Trying to type this on my Kindle ... Great day out today with a friend of ours.

Thanks, C-A-H.

As you may or may not be aware, Art Carney portrayed Santa at least 2 times.

First, he was in a Twilight Zone episode entitled "The Night of the Meek" and then in the full-length movie "The Night They Saved Christmas".
Both are well worth the watch and I try to see them every Christmas season!

Have you heard his version of The Night Before Christmas?

I spoke to my supervisor today and asked her if the company has had its Christmas party yet......she told me it is next Friday and was very sweet, encouraging me to attend !!! She has always been so nice......I guess if they didn't want me there she wouldn't have told me when it is.....so once again my Eeyore ideations are wrong !

So sorry for your loss, Brad. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Glad to hear that you have a diagnosis and know what you're dealing with, I'm sure it eases the mind a bit. I worked for a chiropractor for @ 5 years, and everything he did for me really helped. Good luck to you, sugar! Hope your back is feeling great again, soon. Have fun shopping with your family today

Thanks guys. I took a pain pill here a little bit ago and it seemed to help. We took the kids to see Santa and EA didn't want anything to do with him. I was kind of bummed out, but I guess I have to expect that with a 2 year old. I did get DS's picture with him though!

That is great news about Harlowe!!!!!!

I agree! I was so excited to read about the news about Harlowe!!!

Good evening,

Another long day at work, day off after tomorrow. The kids had a Christmas party at the daycare tonight, so my wife and I went to a local restaurant called The Steaming Tender, they were all decked out for Christmas, the building itself is an 1800's train station, it was beautiful inside here are some pictures of the inside from the site. http://www.steamingtender.com/gallery.asp I had the prime rib which was excellent. It was nice to have a date with my love. I can't believe Christmas is so close.

Have a great night!

Glad to hear you got meds for your back. once the inflammation settlers down hopefully it will become a lot less painful. .does inflammation tablets not effect your stomach.? my mate was advised to take them with food or after food as they can annoy the linning of the stomach
