Christmas Countdown - 2011

Guys, I haven't got to be here much in the past week....and y'all sure have racked up some posts! Good job!

Ballgames are over until the 23rd. School will be out Tuesday and I'm so excited. I can't wait to have a break. My contract is a 12 month contract, so no summer break for me (I know the real world doesn't get a summer break either), so this is a time I really get to rest and enjoy myself with no kids being around. Makes for a nice rest.

good morning all of you. got up at 9am....after kandice didnt sleep too well.....she caught an infect and started a high fever yesterday evening....she feels better now tho and is watching kids tv now

Good morning! I woke up craving some M&M ice cream cookies and i am out of them!! I am going to the grocery store as soon as they open at 7am! I slept really well last night so I feel great! Brandi slept good too and has had a few days where she has felt a tad better...I have to help her get up now because she is finding it hard to manuever!
@MerryCarey-My cornbread turned out great this time so the egg is all it took to keep it from crumbling everywhere!!! I am proud of it too because I have never had any luck making cornbread. In the last year I have learned how to really cook. now that I think about it I was married until 2 years ago and at the time of the divorce I could not cook a lick!!! but after brandi got farther along in her pregnancy she has taught me how to cook alot more! I imagine I will be cooking for the first year after the baby comes and I am fine with that...I find cooking most of the time to be a relaxing time away from the "real world"!lol

In other news I just heard Etta James has been diagnosed with terminal Cancer....such sad news...I love me some Etta James!

Isn't that a pain??? I get so angry when I CAN sleep in if I wanted to but I still wake up as if I had to go to work...oh well the beauty of a day off is that you can always go back to bed to take a nap if need be!!!

Just getting back from the grocery store and they did not have what I was looking for. I ended up buying tons of coke....BTW I have yet to see coke's 2011 holiday can. unless the "protect the polar bear" is what they are using which is fine too becuase I love those bottles... I also bought tons of Italian Ice...I can eat that forever...Brandi is craving salad with buffalo sause as a salad dressing!!! so I went and bought some of that...well I better go put everything away!! have a great saturday all!!!

I had to add something I saw on the News just now...In Ontario Canada they have introduced this new feature in some shopping malls....It's called the "men's den" where men can go while thier wives are shopping...they have recliners and flat screen HDTV's where guys can go to relax...and they also serve food have video games...mimi golf even.lol I think that is a great idea and whoever though about actually opening a "men's den" is a genius and a rich man now during the holidays!!

Well I just wanted to let everyone know that I might suddenly vanish from here. My mom started vacation today and I don't know how we are going to make it until the 27th without one of us ending up in prison.

Thursday ... first chance to check in. Thank you all for all the good thoughts you sent my way. Life is spraying bladder juice in my direction at the moment, and I just can't get my mind off my troubles. Thank heaven, Mr. and I aren't ill or injured or anything like that, but I have other worries. The main worry at the moment touches on a legal issue, so I don't feel I should discuss it here. But it's an ongoing, expensive, unnecessary, nerve-racking, upsetting thing with no end in sight that may be going to a new level, and it's intruding on my Christmas cheer, which I resent.

On top of those things, I have a huge mound of work at the office that is going to require extra hours from now until New Year's. That'll intrude even further on my Christmas cheer ... But I updated my supervisor on how things are going at the moment, and bless her, the deal is I should take a day off tomorrow, then crank like H--- next week. I hope I can relax and come to terms with things a bit over the weekend. Thank God for Mr. He's behind me 100% when I need support. And I see folks here of whom I can say the same. Bless you all.

I will keep you in my thoughts, Merry!!!

That was when my daughter was little and she is 25 years old now. I know that Circus Circus hotel still has the indoor amusement park but not sure if it still has laser tag in it. It's loads of fun! =)

I don't remember seeing laser tag when I was there in '02 or '05.

Thanks for the input guys! Still sounds like a fun place to go though, might have to check it out if we ever get out that way!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! We are off to a chilly start here in central Indy but we should warm up to near 40 degrees later today. My plan is to make some more candy and enjoy all of the Rankin Bass shows on ABC Family. I can't believe that Christmas is next weekend.
