Did you get pictures? I bet it was hilarious!

A friend of a friend took a picture because I'd forgotten. Once I upgrade my account here, I will definitely post one! He looked great!!!

I LOVE laser tag!!!! One year we went to Vegas when my daughter was about 9 years old and we were at Circus Circus hotel amusement center. We played laser tag for 5 straight hours! We would go in and play, finish a game then jump back in line for another game. It was so much fun. I think I was the only adult lady that was playing all night against mostly kids! Ha ha! My daughter and I had a blast!

That sounds like an amazing time, CAH!!! Do you know if that's still around?

Yea, I would call it one anyway. I know a lot of people who don't go there anymore. Hershey is really nice and I love going there, but just has got so expensive.

I feel the same way about Hershey. It's the closest amusement park to us but even going to Giant to get a discount on tickets doesn't really help anymore. DF, FSIL, her husband, and I went to Cedar Point in June and a 2 day pass cost less than one day at Hershey! We're actually thinking of going there every year instead of Hershey, even though the drive is a little rough. Plus Cedar Point has more (and better!) coasters!!!

Hi every one,
We had a pretty bad two weeks, my brother is still in the hospital, no reason to be joyous at all here... but now he's getting better, we hope he is will home around this weekend so BEFORE christmas! which is very very important of course, so i will keep my fingers crossed!
I still can't believe how ill he got... thank you all for the support, it is awful to see a family member like that... i'm sorry about the season, but i'm glad it seems like he'll be home for christmas!

Wishing nothing but the best for your brother, you, and your whole family!!!

I graduated last Friday and I had my school formal on Monday. Half of my friends are departing and going their separate ways. It's sad to see them go, but at least I can keep in touch with them on Facebook. My school formal was amazing. The atmosphere was electric. Everybody had the time of their lives.

Congrats on graduating! I remember that feeling from 3.5 years ago, nothing compares to it! Best of luck to you. =)

Good news every one! my brother gets to go home TOMORROW hurray hurray!
I am beyond thrilled (oh bother, you can only use 3 smileys in one post, but i am really happy indeed!), now i have to get caught up on homework and prep for christmas, but it will be a great christmas, cause we can all be together, and that's really all that counts!

thank you all for your prayers, i'm sure they were heard!

That is SUCH great news, kerstig!!!

First off,Thanks to all for the prayers!! and thanks so much for the hugs and kind words, CM3, big giant hugs right back to you!!!!!!!! and for a few friends who messaged me a huge thanks to you too!! it means more than you will ever know.

things like this, little things,is why I love MMC. yes everyone has a facebook now a days, but how many "friends" really are there when you need just to vent or talk or whatever? here it's like we all are truly family and understand. up and downs, highs and lows, laughs and even a few tears, we care and love one another like crazy!!! and even the silly one's like me need cheering up from time to time. I think the LORD blessed us all the day he put it into Mr.Jeff's mind and heart to make MMC. I'm not always the best with words, but I know I am blessed with having to have met some of the nicest sweetest folks here on MMC and I am honored and blessed to call them all my friends and Christmas family. Just wanted to say that and now back to your regular scheduled programming of the Christmas Countdown forums...........LOL

I COMPLETELY agree, lil!!! This is the best forum I have ever been a part of, hands down! I love each and every one of you, even if I might not be as active as many of you! <3

Just talked to my mom and father in Oregon. My dad sounds better as in his frame of mind. He was more upbeat than earlier in the week. He gets so easily tired out in the Physical therapy, but he said he is moved up a number on thier scale. when he gets to a 5 he will get discharged. He is in a 2 in most things now. His dr's are amazed at how well he is doing since this happened just 38 days ago!( he was comotose the first week) he also broke his leg in the car wreck so he is getting the last of his casts off Monday. My mom had a few broken ribs and she still has a wrap she wears but I don't think it is all the time now... both mom and dad sounded very good just now over the phone..continued thanks for everyones prayers as they sure are working!!!.My siblings and some aunts/uncles are going to be able to visit with them all through the holidays and I of course will call them to wish them Merry Christmas while we wait on the little one to show up any day now....yes this is kind of the unoffcial way the Dr's is putting it now,she said everything is in place for him to make his debut!!!! 2 and a half weeks away! Okay need to start warming over the leftovers for dinner....tomorrow night I will grill steaks!

That is SUCH great news, dawg!!! I will continue sending good wishes/thoughts their (and your) way for their recovery. Also, I will keep you and Brandi in my thoughts...I know the last few weeks before the baby comes are full of excitement and the unknown and should be treasured! I know you guys will be great parents!! BTW, can I come over for steaks tomorrow? =P

Three words: Key Lime Pie

I love that stuff!!

I second this!!! I have a key lime cheese ball I've been meaning to make...maybe I should do that now since Brad made me hungry, lol.

We are home from our quick trip to Chico. Just finished the facelift surgery. The laser stuff is killer. Almost cried. But it is feeling better. I must order some Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine to help ease the pain. Not even Carl's special blend could ease the pain!!!

I hope you feel better soon and recover quickly!!! <3

Hello everyone! Well I am completely warn out. having two jobs this time of year has really robbed me of the Christmas season. all I do is sleep and work.. I mean I am thankful for these two jobs, but I'm exhausted and have no time for friends, family.. I don't even get too see my boyfriend:/ and I live with him!!!!!

Britt, I could not have said that better myself!! In my next post updating about my goings-on, I was going to put almost this exact same thing. I don't know why this year is so much more tiring than last, but I'm ready for the craziness at both jobs to be OVER. I didn't think it would be so much to ask to be able to ENJOY Christmas, sigh. I hope things settle down for you soon and you can relax and spend time with your friends, family and DB! <3

Hello Christmas family!

I can't even remember the last time I posted that wasn't a reply to others. I have been so busy that I don't even know what day of the week it is anymore. I only know when it's Wednesday when you guys post about the Pines!!

Work (Kohl's) is REALLY taking a lot out of me. It seems everyone is stressed out and everyone has the attitude of not caring and being apathetic. A lot of it is due to my boss (who I've referenced here a few times), who is just on a tear lately and we don't know why. She is on everyone's case about minute things, meanwhile large issues that we come to her with are ignored. That's where the apathy is coming from. I'm hoping it doesn't become a toxic environment but I think once the holidays are over, everyone will return to normal. It has really sapped me of most of my Christmas spirit, since it seems Christmas is what's making everyone stressed. I don't remember things being this way last year...I'm not sure what's changed but I don't like it. Even working at Hallmark, which is less stressful for me but still massively busy, isn't helping my spirit. I do enjoy the holiday associate discount of 50% on everything, but even buying my weight in Christmas scented candles there didn't help (and if that doesn't help, I don't know what will! lol).

Today was a little better at Kohl's - we had a spirit day called Christmas Mania, where there were no limits on what we could wear that embodied Christmas. I wore a red long sleeved shirt, a green t-shirt with a picture of the Griswold's house that said "I dedicate this house to the Griswold Family Christmas", a peppermint swirl headband, a bunch of Christmas jewelry (including two bell necklaces), plus I had shiny garland around my neck and blue tinsel wrapped around my ponytail. I looked ridiculous and everyone loved it! I did get some weeeeeeeeird looks from customers who I think were trying to decide if I worked there or if I were just a crazy decked-out customer!!! lol So, there are some bright spots within my semi-holiday depression.

I think a lot of what's stressing me out is I haven't really had time to spend with DF, other than in between jobs and at night when I'm super tired. He has been on vacation for almost the entirety of the last 3 weeks and I can probably count on two hands how many quality hours we've been able to spend together in that time. We haven't had time to do much with the wedding, our save-the-dates and Christmas cards are STILL unaddressed, the house is still a little cluttered, and it's driving me NUTS. Wish I could just have a break...

In more happy news, one of my very good work friends had a baby on Tuesday! She had a c-section and is doing very well. Figured you guys would find this interesting - the little girl's middle name is Noel, not only because it's my friend's maiden name, but because she also very much loves Christmas!! =D I am so happy for them and can't wait to meet her!!!

I'm off to get ready for my second job of the day...again...hoping I can make it until 10:30 without falling asleep! This is the first day in a long time where I haven't taken a nap and I feel it might come back to haunt me! I'm sorry if this was a bit of a depressing entry, I'm sorry guys!! Hope everyone has a great Thursday night!

Does anyone else sit here at sob when watching these?

YABAB!

I mean O M G... be here next week and see for yourself...

YABBA!

But how do you really feel about Darlene, Binger? cheesy

Tomorrow is also my wife's birthday

Happy Birthday to your wife!

Time to leave for Chico. Some of the bandages will come off today. Hubby thinks my head looks like a mummy!!! I am not allowed to talk a lot for a week. Thank goodness for this forum!!! I can "talk" all I want!!! I better go take a pain pill before we leave.

That would be horrible if I couldn't talk for a week!

Isn't it ironic that when the rest of the world catches up to Christmas, we have less time to spend in the forums?

Or to enjoy the season either?

All of my stitches were checked and everything looks good. I cannot believe the difference, especially my neck!!! I will never be mistaken for a Thanksgiving turkey again. Not too sure about any other kind, though!!! The only bummer is I have a horrendous headache that I had earlier this morning. SO, I guess that means I should try to take a nap. I bet I could even get Crown's approval for a fellow Tar Heel!

So glad to hear your postop appointment went well. Hope your headache went away and you're feeling a little better.

Hi MMC family! Hope everyone is doing well! All is well here. I am just getting ready to head out with my kids and sister for dinner. It was her birthday on Tuesday, so we're going to take her out.

Nothing new here to report. I've got to work again tonight at 11. I plan on coming home, hoping to watch some type of Christmas tv tonight, and spend time with the kids before getting them a bath and to bed.

Well, I will check back in before going to work. Talk to you all later. Hope you all have a wonderful evening. :-D

Congrats to your friend, I love her choice for the middle name, Noel-so beautiful!
Sorry to hear things have been so hectic at work. Bah-Humbug to your boss...
Your outfit for Christmas Mania sounds awesome!!! I bet you looked great and wonderfully festive :)
Hope you get more free time soon, for yourself & to see your DF more.
Sending hugs to you!! Merry Christmas!

Well I just wanted to let everyone know that I might suddenly vanish from here. My mom started vacation today and I don't know how we are going to make it until the 27th without one of us ending up in prison.

Howdy everyone! I am getting caught up finally here....This is by far the oddest, wierdest, strangest(how else can I say that?)....Christmas season I can ever remember and I don't mean that in a bad way either.lol take for instance the weather is beautiful and sunny high of 79F today...and the last of my pear trees leaves are peaking in thier orange hues about 6 to 8 weeks behind schedule. We are having a true Indian summer here, no cold weather on the horizon for now. Me and brandi are lazing around the house again today enjoying the last few quiet days around here for sure! A week from today will be Christmas Eve,....Eve? err what that will be tomorrow!!! at any rate have a great night everyone!

We are tyring to decide what to settle on watching for the evening. Alot of News magazine shows are talking about the biggest high profile cases of 2011 which ones were the best this and that...I guess that is what we are going to watch before we are going to watch home alone! I have not seen that movie in a while now. I prefer Home Alone 2 simply for the Christmas in new York scenes...anyhow talk to you all in the morning! goodnight!

Thursday ... first chance to check in. Thank you all for all the good thoughts you sent my way. Life is spraying bladder juice in my direction at the moment, and I just can't get my mind off my troubles. Thank heaven, Mr. and I aren't ill or injured or anything like that, but I have other worries. The main worry at the moment touches on a legal issue, so I don't feel I should discuss it here. But it's an ongoing, expensive, unnecessary, nerve-racking, upsetting thing with no end in sight that may be going to a new level, and it's intruding on my Christmas cheer, which I resent.

On top of those things, I have a huge mound of work at the office that is going to require extra hours from now until New Year's. That'll intrude even further on my Christmas cheer ... But I updated my supervisor on how things are going at the moment, and bless her, the deal is I should take a day off tomorrow, then crank like H--- next week. I hope I can relax and come to terms with things a bit over the weekend. Thank God for Mr. He's behind me 100% when I need support. And I see folks here of whom I can say the same. Bless you all.

Is anyone else having difficulty getting emails on thread updates?

I haven't been getting email notifications when I get a PM. But RJD says Jeff is looking into it.

Isn't it ironic that when the rest of the world catches up to Christmas, we have less time to spend in the forums?

It is, but as Jeff said in his blog, that's really the way it should be, 'cause we're out doing Christmas in the real world.

That sounds like an amazing time, CAH!!! Do you know if that's still around?
That was when my daughter was little and she is 25 years old now. I know that Circus Circus hotel still has the indoor amusement park but not sure if it still has laser tag in it. It's loads of fun! =)

Hang in there Made! Take deep breaths! =)
