I wouldn't mind a lift back to visit San Francisco again! My dad was stationed at Presidio for a few years when I was a kid. I have been back there in 30 years!

It has really changed. We go by the Presidio every time we go to San Francisco. Of course we will give you a ride!!!

It's a beautiful snowy day here, I want to put up some Christmas lights now! We are homebound with 2 hyper children, I will be watching a my beloved Bruins take on the NY Rangers at one o'clock, folding laundry while watching. You get in you late 30's with an injured foot, life just gets too exciting. cheesy

We have 10-12 inches of snow!! There is a foot total in the driveway and the backyard, but about 10 inches in the front yard. Crazy!
Looking out the window at the sparkly white stuff really makes me miss Christmas, but it also puts me in the spirit!

Good afternoon everyone! I just checked our 15 day weather forecast and on Feb4th which is the last days of the forecast there is a huge snowstorm all the way from the mid atlantic states to middle Georgia which is still about 100 miles north of here but still it's not completly out of the realm of me driving 2 hours to seee it. So far this winter that is the closest it has been at all. Time will tell 15 day forecasts are notoriously wrong,but we shall see. We are having a lazy day with every one sitting around watching movies and eating homemade chicken pot pie and chicken soup, (Knocking on wood) but so many people are sick around here,almost half of people at work called in sick. I had the flu shot anyway and this was the first year I was even under the weather with a cold the week of thanksgiving I will never forgot that misarable week. But anyhow today is the last day my mom and sister will be here,so I will be taking them to the airport first thing in the morning. I will be back here tomorrow after I get back taking them. I hope everyone here is having a great weekend,and if any of you are sick,take care of yourselves and get better!!!

Well I'm 2300 miles away but from talking to my niece on the phone and skype I know she's in constant pain. So I would believe that she is still inflamed. They got a second opinion before christmas and the doctor agreed with the treatment they were stating my niece on but now her doctor doesn't want to continue on that route and he is the only doctor in state that sees kids that young. My sister would have to drive 6 hours to go to the other doctor. Another part of the problem is that her current doctor doesn't talk to her physical therapist since she is not at the childrens hospital. My sister doesn't want to take her to the therpist there though because it's an hour an a half away. So my niece would have to miss one day of school a week to go there where her current therapist is 3 minutes from her house and gets her in after school. She was even recommened to my sister byt the therapist at the childrens hospital because she use to work there. They are going to take her down to the childrens hospital for a consulation with there therapist though in a couple of weeks. Her feet do point inwards and she has inserts for that in her shoes already. Part of that is because my niece is double jointed so normal for her is different than the rest of us. I think the whole problem is that her doctor only sees her once every couple of months so it's just hard for him to tell when she's swollen compared to someone who see's her every week. He kept saying she wasn't swollen back in novemeber until they did a MRI and discovered her knees were extremely inflamed.

The weatherman was talking about it on the news this morning and said it could be a massive storm. Of course I've been saying all winter that mother nature was just saving up for one big punch that weekend. She wants to see if we can handle the snow and the Super bowl better than Dallas did last year.

Good evening Christmas family !
It is snowing here at a pretty good clip and I am inside sitting on the loveseat with the fireplace roaring. The Christmas lights which are always on the mantle are lit and my tree is on as well. I am listening to Music Choice - Classical Masterpieces. They are playing Mozart's piano concerto no 27 in B-Fla Major -and it is beautiful !! Of all the composers Mozart is my very favorite !!! Though I also Love Beethoven and so many others xo
A relaxing day today. I am getting tired and bored with having to maintain my weight and went on an eating spree today - all comfort foods. I know one day does not mean weight gain but the thing is, I keep doing this. It is my pattern. I maintain weight loss for about two years then go wild. I really do not want to do that because I don't know if I would lose it again with my age and all. It felt good though to eat EXACTLY what I wanted (including cookies that aren't diet !! Shhhhhh!!) I signed up for an extra storage plan with Apple for my Ipod through Icloud. I don't understand how Icloud works or what it is. There is now 15 GB in Icloud but my overal Ipod just has 3.9 GB left. I hope the plan is worth it !!
Work called me tonight because radiology was way way behind. So I got on and typed a couple of hours and I work tomorrow morning too. The new schedule of 8-1/2 hours Mon-Thurs, then off Friday, work Saturday and off Sunday is NOT going to work. That extra half an hour KILLED me this week. I know it shouldn't have but it did.
I am not a Spring Chicken any more and in fact, this is one old dog who is pretty bad at learning new tricks. I hope I can find some resolution with my company. I asked if I could just work 38 hours a week and still do radiology on Saturday. I mean afterall, 38 hours is practically 40. I don't see what the major issue would be but I haven't heard anything back yet.
I just love my Time-Life book of Christmas !! There is another book I think you all would like that was a gift to me from my David several years ago. It is called "Christmas - Penhaligon's Scented Treasure of Verse and Prose" and it was edited by a lady named Sheila Pickles. It is circa 1989. It is just beautiful.

I haven't seen anything from Snowflake for a long time. I believe she was having problems getting on. I am praying for her and her baby, Harlowe. My Wish is a jolly old guy !! You would never know he is 15 - it is an honest-to-God miracle that he is still with me and doing so well.

figured the bird would be long gone by the time I got may camera out, but it was still there! Those 2 sat for about 5 min staring at each other before Penny finally gave up and walked away.

We finally had some snow last night...then ice. Everything around here looks like it is covered in that sticky frosting. I managed to get to church to set some things set up, but nothing is thawing much. Now I'm curled up in a comfy chair with MMC and a cup of tea. What a great way to spend the afternoon!
