Just got some really bad news. My mom needs surgery tomorrow for her throat. I am not with her so I don't know details but if they are doing it so soon it can't be good.

I'm sorry to hear that, Jennifer. Sending a prayer for a safe surgery, and a full recovery.

Thanks everyone. I finally got some details. My dad couldn't take off of work so they are doing it next Wed. It isn't a cyst and they aren't sure if it is cancer or not but he wants to remove it. He said there is a chance that he could hit vocal chords and if that's the case she might never be able to talk again or only whisper. What a terrible thing to say and I pray that doesn't happen...I don't know what I'd do if it did.

This is seriously one of the worst days ever. I hoped that 2012 would be better for my family health-wise but of course it's not.

What a day! I am feeling bad and my back is still hurting then the school called and my grandson has an earache. I went to go get him and he was crying. He is asleep right now and his parents will leave work soon to take him to the doctor.

Anyway, just wanted to stop by and say hi right quick.

It's such a warm day I am giving my dog a bath outside,then I am eating then finishing some paperwork(end of month) then going to turn in because I have to be at work at 6 am for a meeting. Good evening, MMC!

What a chilly day today! Went to BC and did a bit of grocery shopping and was lucky enough to find an estate sale. What a gorgeous house it would have been, but it was in need of a lot of work. It was one of those huge old homes that the lumber barons built back in the day. Anyhow, found a few things for the store which is great! I would like to go back tomorrow when everything is half off, but I have plans to spend the morning with my cousin. We are going to celebrate her birthday which was yesterday. I hope there is cake :grin:

Good morning all! Hope all is with everyone this am! I am doing well. I just got off work and crawled into bed. DH is at work and the kids are at daycare.

Today is my day off, so a I plan on waking up around 12:30, getting caught up on here, and doing a few things around the house until I need to pick up the kids at daycare. It's pretty much going to be a relaxed day.

Well, I am going to head to bed for a few hours. Ttyl. Have a great day!

We had a little excitement when we got home from work last night. It was around 6 pm and my wife and son had stopped in town at the grocery story after work so we were arriving home at the same time. Just a little ways from our home, a small bear cub ran across our road in front of us. He was scared and obviously looking for his mother. Black bears here have cubs in December and January and this one couldn't have been more than a few weeks old. We kept looking for the mother but never saw her. She would not have been happy if we messed with her little one. It was almost dark and we had no camera so no pictures. Our dog barked all night so they must have stayed near by. Hunting season is over so they should be safe. Hope we see them again and are able to get pictures. Wish I had a motion camera setup like Bradmac.

In case you are wondering, bears in the Smoky Mountains do not fully hibernate in the winter. Females will have their young in dens while the males will partially hibernate.

gramsey, you better be careful, what if the mama had been close by. ya'll take care up there!!

Greetings Friends, I trust everyone is doing well on this fine Tuesday in late January. Life is just grand here in lovely Peoria. On a personal note, I signed up on a dating site. My love for Christmas has drawn some interesting responses already lol. I love it! Have a great day everyone.

My son actually videoed us playing together with his Ipod. I was interested to so what it would look and sound like. When he played it back, he was centered, and only my left arm and ear were visible...LOL.

I have been working on an acoustic version of O come All Ye Faithful. Maybe I'll try to record that if you guys promise not to judge too harshly.

I know it's discouraging and frustrating, but hang in there. Good things must happen eventually. I know that sounds hollow coming from someone who isn't going through it, but things must even out eventually. You and your family are in my heart.

hey ya'll! well work wasn't so bad today. turns out the flooding was a broken water main OUTSIDE the shop. jeesh, we women really can't explain things sometimes, lol. the power was back on this morning so it was nothing like i was thinking it was gonna be. yep, just work as usual. my boss's info was definitely not accurate.
when i came in from work a bit ago my dogs were waiting on me. 1st thing i do is get them treats (& they sure do remember that). they just about tackle me as i'm coming in the door. their so darn sweet though.
seawaters, whatever this day has brought your way i want you to know i am praying for you & have asked lots of others to pray also. i read where the docs are wanting to do more tests & that's good that their being so thorough. keep up that great, positive spirit. love & hugs to you doll!

I'm getting ready to give DS a bath. EA already has her's and is sitting watching Dora. I have the house all nice and tidy and I'm ready for already! I guess I should be...I've only had less than 3 hours of sleep in the last 24. Hope I will get a few tonight!
