One set of grandkids were lodging in Vermont over Christmas and they had a grand time as well. Glad you had time to swing by our merry way and that your vacation was "successful".

Good afternoon,

Hard to keep up with all these posts. I read them all. Seems like everyone is having a good time. Seawaters, all the best to you and the MRI. I am really hoping for positive news following the biopsy.

Not much is new here. The Kings defeated the Ottawa Senators last night in LA. Although I live in Ottawa, I have plenty of disdain for the Senators. And, of course, it is always good to see my favourite team defeat the representing Sens.

The weather here is warmer than normal. It is just around the freezing mark. Windy, too. Temperatures are projected to stay warmer than usual as we head into February. With only two or three weeks of seasonal temperatures, we may actually (mostly) miss winter this year. A little disappointing. I like winter.

Only 11 more months until Christmas Eve. 10 more months and we will be right in the Christmas Season. What excitement!!

There are only about three more hours of work and then I am done for the day. I like that. I have to go to the gym tonight though. Not sure if I will make it to Carleton or my local gym. We'll see how much time I have. I haven't been to Carleton in more than a month - my (personal trainer) friend was on vacation in California for a few weeks. Lucky him. Let's see where the rest of the day takes me!

Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone! Looking forward to partaking in my first 'Pines celebration of the year. And what a celebration it will be! Our first 25th of 2012!

That's a bit pricey for a glorified scrimmage, I can barely watch the ASG on TV, it is not real hockey to me.

Not much going on, foot is up, Spaceballs is on, I have 2 hours before I pick up the kiddos. Just had my lunch, now I think I must find something sweet. Xmastidings has started a great new thread about finding Christmas related stores, and such in areas you may go on vacation. I thought it was a good idea to have a little inside info if you go somewhere and need a little Christmas.

Well we didn't learn anything about CIJ from Valerie during her 1pm show. She did say that she still had some Christmas decorations up though.

What a class I had this morning.

Someone stole my teacher's textbook for class (which is a teacher's edition and he had all of his notes, etc in it). By the time they finally fessed up and gave it back, we already wasted 20 minutes of class. Then he taught us two new things and that took 30 minutes.

Then is when all you know what broke loose. Before we could leave for the day, he asked us to turn in the back of the textbook where there was a chart. The left column was filled with numbers 1-10, and the top row was filled with numbers .0-.9 So basically, say you had the number 6.3. You'd go to the left column, find your 6, then go to the top row and find your .3. Then you'd use your fingers and scroll across and down and meet together somewhere on the chart to get the new number.

I probably didn't explain it well enough, but it was finding two numbers that you already have in front of you to get a statistic. Prior to doing this, our teacher told us that it would take 2 minutes. I'm sure he was just as shocked as I was that it took 40 minutes. I was in such a bad mood after class. We were supposed to get out early since it was a review day, but we stayed longer than ever.

Needless to say, I have a major headache!

I know it is frustrating Jennifer, just stick with it. Does your college have a program where, if you understand what your doing you can go into another room and do it at your own speed? I hope it will get better for you soon.

Yep, it was one of them! They said they just wanted to "closely examine" his notes so that they could understand them. I'm sure they'll be asking about it next week. He said we were going to take a look at the chart again then. I mean, I know I'm no math whiz, but it really wasn't that challenging!

I am trying to stick with it, but it's frustrating sitting there for 45+ minutes while people ask questions that I already know the answers to. Unfortunately, they don't have that. But - they do have an excellent tutor center that they pride themselves on. I think it would be useful for the two people that are holding our entire class up. Out of 50 of us, only a couple are clueless and continually ask questions. Maybe I should suggest it to my teacher instead of directly to them.

If this happens again, I'm just going to leave class early. If he asks me why, I'll just tell him I don't need to stay for something I already know. I could have been home and working on other assignments instead of sitting there and glancing at the clock every two seconds.

Just got some really bad news. My mom needs surgery tomorrow for her throat. I am not with her so I don't know details but if they are doing it so soon it can't be good.

Just got some really bad news. My mom needs surgery tomorrow for her throat. I am not with her so I don't know details but if they are doing it so soon it can't be good.

Jennifer91, don't think that maybe it is best they get whatever is needed out right away... Not good that surgery has to be done, I know, but it is better then making her wait and worry.
