Christmas Countdown - 2012

So I am back before I was planning, but I guess that's okay! I think I've maybe slept a total of 15 minutes since I've posted. My DH texted me I don't know how many times, plus my mom called me, so it woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep.

Now I'm hungry, so I figured I would stay up. Hopefully I can catch a quick nap this afternoon. If not, I will be up for 24 hours by the time I go to bed. Geez...

Off to get caught up on the countdown! cheesy

Yesterday was a rough day on me. I woke up hurting all over, felt terrible and have no idea why! I went to church and had to leave early. I came home and laid down before I went to work. I did okay at work but then my back started killing me. I am still hurting today especially in my back!

Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well. Hope you are feeling better today.

My doctor has ordered another MRI with a biopsy. There are some more places detected with the first MRI. So, it looks like the radiation seed and lumpectomy are out.

I'll be praying the new biopsy's are negative.

I've all the sudden started to not feel so hot. This junk is going around at work - I am sort of feeling nauseated. Hopefully it passes.

I don't know if I am lucky or not: I got my facelift and I will be getting perky new boobs!!! Off with the old and on with the new!!!

hey ya'll!! well i'm going into work today. boss called yesterday & said there was no power & some flooding @ the shop so who knows what will be waiting for us today. think i'll wear some old clothes because it sounds like we will be doing alot of clean up.

I hope you don't have to big of a mess to deal with!!!

Another day with the foot up, I am living on the edge today. I am having Lucky Charms instead of Shredded Mini Wheats for breakfast, I am such a rebel.

I haven't had Lucky Charms in years. I'll have to pick up a box when I go to the grocery store next week. I usually buy fruity pebbles when I want to go for a walk on the wild side.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a busy weekend, working at the store all day Saturday. After 13 hours there, I need a full day of rest. How in the world does Bernie do it everyday?!? And we're planning his 75th birthday party for next month! Of course, he's not there ALL day everyday, but most of the day. Whew!

Sunday after church we went to mom's for lunch, then I had to make a quick trip to a town about 45 minutes away to do 15 minutes worth of work on my side business. When I got back to mom's, my son and I shot skeet till the cold and drizzle made us go back in.

Later last night, my daughter's other grandmother gave her a bird egg she'd found. That meant I was to spend the next couple hours creating an incubator consisting of a styrofoam cooler lined with tinfoil, and a C9 Christmas light (I couldn't resist!) in the side wall of the cooler. She popped out of bed this morning to check on her egg, and to roll it to get warmth on all sides. She love it!

Good morning and Gong Hay Fat Choi (Happy Chinese New Year) all! I've been gone so long, life just got crazy on me. And it still is, but I wanted to pop in a moment and say hello and hope everyone's doing well! Hopefully I'll be able to pop in more from now on!

So, today's the first day of the Chinese New Year celebration--the year of the Dragon. I love to go down to Chinatown on my lunch hour this time of year. Last year, I was lucky enough to see a few Lion Dances, which is always fun. If loud. It doesn't compare to Christmas in my heart, but I do enjoy it.

My son actually videoed us playing together with his Ipod. I was interested to so what it would look and sound like. When he played it back, he was centered, and only my left arm and ear were visible...LOL.

I have been working on an acoustic version of O come All Ye Faithful. Maybe I'll try to record that if you guys promise not to judge too harshly. :-D

We had a little excitement when we got home from work last night. It was around 6 pm and my wife and son had stopped in town at the grocery story after work so we were arriving home at the same time. Just a little ways from our home, a small bear cub ran across our road in front of us. He was scared and obviously looking for his mother. Black bears here have cubs in December and January and this one couldn't have been more than a few weeks old. We kept looking for the mother but never saw her. She would not have been happy if we messed with her little one. It was almost dark and we had no camera so no pictures. Our dog barked all night so they must have stayed near by. Hunting season is over so they should be safe. Hope we see them again and are able to get pictures. Wish I had a motion camera setup like Bradmac.

In case you are wondering, bears in the Smoky Mountains do not fully hibernate in the winter. Females will have their young in dens while the males will partially hibernate.

I've read a couple area news reports saying that the bear population is increasing and there are more black bear sightings in residential areas. You need to pickup one of those cameras. A candid picture of a bear would be awesome! cheesy

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!!!! It's been a cold but productive morning for me. I put front brakes on my friends truck and then I did a tune up for him. He has an older 70's chevy pick up and I love working on it. There's actually room to get a ratchet in to the spark plugs without having to take off 50 other panels. It makes the job go a lot faster. Well I'm off to get some work done before Valerie comes on QVC at 1pm est. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, MMC! I have been so busy lately that I have not been online very much. I've had a hectic morning so far - I slept in a half an hour late and now I'm pinched on time to get ready for class. I always like to check things on my computer first, so oh well if I'm a little late!

I am so agitated with two people in my Statistics class. In the beginning of every class, our professor asks if we need to go over a problem or two. He stresses that it should be two problems max. Anyways - there are two students in the class that make him go over everything and constantly interrupt to ask questions. The last class, we were still going over problems 45 minutes into the class that were simple and that we learned last week. He tests us often, so he likes to spend about 2-3 classes learning new material, one class for review, and then the test. Today we should be reviewing and I just have an awful feeling that they are never going to stop asking! Our class would have been out at least 30 minutes prior last Thursday if it wasn't for the continuous interruptions. I'm half-tempted to recommend the tutor center if they cannot pick up the material but I don't want to rub anyone the wrong way. We have 50 people in our class, so it really holds the other 48 of us up when they take the time away.

Sorry for the morning rant! I need to get ready now and leave in twenty minutes. My mom has a big doctor appointment today, hoping it goes well!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I didn't get much done after work yesterday. I stayed here longer than usual looking for some missing printed engineering. We finally had to re-create the engineering. Not fun. What happened to that magical paperless office wee were supposed to be in by now? It probably flew away with the flying cars were were all supposed to by the year 2000!

My daughter is still watching her bird egg like a hawk, pun intended. She has now poked air holes in the cooler in case it hatches while we're asleep. Smart!

My son had me up late last night jamming on guitar with him.. It's so cool to be able to play my old fun rock-n-roll with someone again! We may have to form a new band.

Just stopping by quickly. I have been busy. Lots of work. A little vacation, too. 10 of us rented a chalet a couple miles away from Jay Peak in Vermont. It was a nice four hour drive to experience the best skiing I have ever had. Great times being surrounded by friends, too!
