Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good morning all! Hope all is with everyone this am! I am doing well. I just got off work and crawled into bed. DH is at work and the kids are at daycare.

Today is my day off, so a I plan on waking up around 12:30, getting caught up on here, and doing a few things around the house until I need to pick up the kids at daycare. It's pretty much going to be a relaxed day.

Well, I am going to head to bed for a few hours. Ttyl. Have a great day!

Good Morning! I was knocked off the internet for most the day yesterday but everything seems to be going fine now. It was just my computer and my son got it sorted out.

I am still not feeling 100% and still hurting but hopefully will be okay!

We have cousins in Jasper, Alabama NW of Birmingham.
Gave them a call after hearing about the tornados yesterday.
Fortunately, they had no problems.

My doctor has ordered another MRI with a biopsy. There are some more places detected with the first MRI. So, it looks like the radiation seed and lumpectomy are out.

I'm sorry you got more bad news, Cherylle. But I'm still convinced that your strength and positive attitude, and a little help from the Good Lord, will see you and your family through this trying time. Still praying for you!

Good morning, MMC! I have been so busy lately that I have not been online very much. I've had a hectic morning so far - I slept in a half an hour late and now I'm pinched on time to get ready for class. I always like to check things on my computer first, so oh well if I'm a little late!

I am so agitated with two people in my Statistics class. In the beginning of every class, our professor asks if we need to go over a problem or two. He stresses that it should be two problems max. Anyways - there are two students in the class that make him go over everything and constantly interrupt to ask questions. The last class, we were still going over problems 45 minutes into the class that were simple and that we learned last week. He tests us often, so he likes to spend about 2-3 classes learning new material, one class for review, and then the test. Today we should be reviewing and I just have an awful feeling that they are never going to stop asking! Our class would have been out at least 30 minutes prior last Thursday if it wasn't for the continuous interruptions. I'm half-tempted to recommend the tutor center if they cannot pick up the material but I don't want to rub anyone the wrong way. We have 50 people in our class, so it really holds the other 48 of us up when they take the time away.

Sorry for the morning rant! I need to get ready now and leave in twenty minutes. My mom has a big doctor appointment today, hoping it goes well!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I didn't get much done after work yesterday. I stayed here longer than usual looking for some missing printed engineering. We finally had to re-create the engineering. Not fun. What happened to that magical paperless office wee were supposed to be in by now? It probably flew away with the flying cars were were all supposed to by the year 2000!

My daughter is still watching her bird egg like a hawk, pun intended. She has now poked air holes in the cooler in case it hatches while we're asleep. Smart!

My son had me up late last night jamming on guitar with him.. It's so cool to be able to play my old fun rock-n-roll with someone again! We may have to form a new band.

Another day with the foot up, I am living on the edge today. I am having Lucky Charms instead of Shredded Mini Wheats for breakfast, I am such a rebel. I don't have much planned, trying to heal my foot. I do have my Bruins tonight, they are playing the Washington Capitals, but the Caps best player, Alex Ovechkin, and one of the best in the world is suspended so I miss out on watching him play.

Just clocked out for lunch..talked to my sister..the one who has not seen Jordan yet and her and her hubby and her 2 kids are coming from Cal. in a few weeks when her kids are out of school for spring break,so I am excited about that. The weather here is the same warm rainy and gloomy. Alot of people are still out with the flu at work,my cold is much better but at night my throat is still a bit scratchy. I brought some chicken pot pie(home made) from home and am about to dig in...have a great midday everyone!

Nothing special, just Tuesday. Just checking in on everybody. A slow day at the office yesterday ... until 4:35 p.m., when something came in that took the better part of three hours to finish. Then back home to deal with things that came in the mail, grocery shopping, and bedtime. Hoping today is more sane, but that's too much to ask in this line of work!

It was a dark and stormy night.... which is to imply that it was drizzley and once again Seawaters forgot to pay the eletric bill at Jayish Manor.. where everyone wears tights,,,, an aria was sung...as everyone prepared for the feast of the gridiron.....

The tornados were in Central Alabama, south of us. We had high winds, hard rain and just a pelting of small hail. No damage.

Fortunately, they had no problems...

We are 90 miles northwest of Jasper. Mississippi is 8 miles west and Tennessee is 20 miles north.

We had a little excitement when we got home from work last night. It was around 6 pm and my wife and son had stopped in town at the grocery story after work so we were arriving home at the same time. Just a little ways from our home, a small bear cub ran across our road in front of us. He was scared and obviously looking for his mother. Black bears here have cubs in December and January and this one couldn't have been more than a few weeks old. We kept looking for the mother but never saw her. She would not have been happy if we messed with her little one. It was almost dark and we had no camera so no pictures. Our dog barked all night so they must have stayed near by. Hunting season is over so they should be safe. Hope we see them again and are able to get pictures. Wish I had a motion camera setup like Bradmac.

In case you are wondering, bears in the Smoky Mountains do not fully hibernate in the winter. Females will have their young in dens while the males will partially hibernate.

Good morning everyone! After a three or four days of 30 degree weather, we are back to 50 degrees. I think Winter forgot about Maryland this year. :-(
