Brandi just called me at work to tell me that our next door neighbor julie just called her to tell her jack russel terrier was hit by a car(and killed) on the road in front of our house...she has taken the day off of work she is so upset. That is what scares me so bad where we live, the road is so busy and with semi trucks(think pet semetary, the movie) the road is so dangerous.my pets never go out the front door...we just let them out the back because I don't want to risk it. Please everyone remember our neighbor Julie at this time...she just lost her hubby last year and her dogs is what keeps her company.I really look for her to be out of work many days...Brandi told her to come over to our house for the day..so manybe that will help not to be alone

I will keep her in my thoughts.

hi meceka!

Hi, merry - I hope you have a wonderful day!

Awwwwwwwww Frankenmuth - I have merry dreams of venturing that way one of these days to visit Bronners and the Silent Night Museum. Guess I could grab some tea while I'm there.

I hope you can make it there some day!

If you could keep Bekki in your thoughts and prayers, I'd appreciate it. Poor thing must be so scared. She sounded okay on the phone, but she told me she picked up the phone three times and couldn't remember who she was calling until her husband asked if she had called me yet. I told her to let her husband know he could call me at home or at work if they wanted to pass messages onto other people so they didn't have to worry about calling everyone. She said, they're going to do the surgery right away, within the next day or two. She's on anti-seisure medication and something to shrink the tumor.

I will keep Bekki in my thoughts and prayers.

:? I can't go - I keep doing the letter "c" backward and the Village People are sick of repeating those simple moves to me over and over again.

I do that too

I have my MRI guided biopsy tomorrow. Two things I hate: MRIs and biopsies!!!

I will be praying extra-hard for you today, Seawaters! xo

I will keep Julie in my thoughts and prayers, Dawg.

Good morning, MMC!

It is going to be a nice day here in Michigan - temps nearing 50 degrees. I expect all the snow to melt and more importantly, all the ice, too!

Have a MERRY day!!!!!!!

So that was frustrating, I have a lot of homework and studying to do, and my mom's surgery is on Wednesday. I will hate sitting in class and not knowing what is going on!
I will keep your mom in prayer!

So sad to hear. I will say a prayer for her.

Good morning,

Another crazy morning in this place, I had to get up and get dressed quickly because our car my wife was taking to work today wouldn't start so I was going to have to drive her, but I went out and got the car started while she was getting LC dressed. I think it just had some water in the fuel line, so she ended up driving it to work anyway, I took advantage of he kids being dressed and ready and brought them to daycare early, my older son usually goes there to catch the bus anyway on the days I am working. I actually feel hungry this morning, I may actually eat some real food today but I also just feel tired.
Not much more planned today, just some basic cleaning, and resting of my annoying foot.

Have a good day!

Yesterday Wayne and I went downtown and stopped at a Starbucks that had a cafe connected to it. They still had Christmas decorations in there! It was great!!! =)

What is the Silent Night Museum?

Once again, I change my vote from Santa Claus, Ind to Frankenmuth, MI if we ever have an MMC convention. cheesy Bronner's just sounds so amazing.

That is so sad :( I can't even imagine how heartbroken she must be. Prayers going up for Julie & her sweet dog. What good friends you & Brandi are, she is lucky to have your support at this difficult time.

Going to grab some coffee quick, then hop on the treadmill before taking a shower.

Hiope you all have a blessed day! Talk to you later tonight!

Good Morning, my ever advancing week Friends.

Onward and downward we move through our relentless count:
Days to the Season: 287
Days to Christmas Day: 329
A scant 12 days remain until we arrive at Milestone Marker #2, the one-quarter Season point!

Ah!
A better start here today, at 41 degrees.
(It's always good psychologically for me to begin the day above the 30's.)
We should get into the mid-60's by this afternoon with the possibility of seeing 70 degrees by Thursday.
Nice!

Well, Folks -- the LAST DAY of January is here!
So fast!
Carl has planned a nice open house for tomorrow, celebrating the arrival of February.
And I can't wait for his Valentines Day bash coming up in just 2 weeks.
(I can see - and taste - the themed fired twinkies now!)

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!

Lesson Number 1- Don't stick your hand near a metal fan blade while it's on.
Now you tell me. I have scars across the tops of three fingers from that!

I had such a hectic day and I am so physically and mentally exhausted. I did not sleep well at all last night, I must have slept 2 hours max. Now I'm practically falling asleep typing this. I stayed in bed as long as possible this morning, then my mom forced me to get up so I could get ready for my classes. I had three in a row and my professor gave us a pop quiz in EVERY class. They were so hard that it was actually ridiculous. He told us, "I have no choice but to do this," and a girl in my class laughed and said, "Oh, really? You had to give us a pop quiz? You could have been like hey guys, study for a quiz on Monday." I'm on her side! There is no book of rules saying you have to give pop quizzes. I understand we need points in the gradebook since the early progress reports are released in a couple of weeks, but still - they don't need to be pop quizzes! So that was frustrating, I have a lot of homework and studying to do, and my mom's surgery is on Wednesday. I will hate sitting in class and not knowing what is going on!

It sounds like your classes are giving you a hectic time---hang in there and stick with it. Maybe the professor is under pressure from his superiors to give pop quizzes, who knows. I'll be thinking of you and your mom tomorrow. Hoping you can find a way to check in between classes to see how things are going. Wishing you both all the best.

I seriously wish I could pass out the cupcakes that I made because they were amazing! I made them using brownie mix instead of cake mix so they are super fudgy. The best part? When you bite into them, the middle is chocolate chip. I took some batter and filled it in the cupcake containers, then dropped in a ball of chocolate chip cookie dough in each, then covered it with batter and baked. Yummy!! Of course I iced them with chocolate icing so they are a major indulgence.

Bring some to the 'Pines tomorrow. Or you could e-mail Carl the recipe, but he doesn't always stick to the recipe ...

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, it's sunny and chilly this morning! I had a thick coat of ice on my windshield this morning, and a white frost on the ground. I love that! When I got to work, I opened a window in my office and put my Diet Pepsi in the opening to keep it cool. Boss thinks it's crazy, but it works and I don't have to walk to the fridge in the other office building. I call it "efficient use of my time". He can't argue with that!

Today my wife takes our son to guitar practice in nearby Statesboro, so our daughter comes to my work after school, then I take her to dance class. I helped my son change his guitar strings last night. It wasn't as bad as it used to be. Years ago, you had to wind the string around the tuning post until it was tight, then you could tune it. It took FOREVER! The came the string winder that would fit over the tuning key, and you could crank it like and old wind-up phonograph. I recently bought a winder that fits on the end of a battery drill. ZIP!! And it's done!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Oh, so sad ... Brandi is doing a wonderful thing by having Julie spend the day with her. It will help to have someone understanding to talk to.

Glad to hear your appetite is returning. If you do any Super Bowl celebrating, you'll need your appetite back in time for Sunday.

Things are looking pretty good on our end ... we both got our vacation days approved yesterday, then Mr. nailed down the reservations after he got home. Now we just have to wait for June to arrive!
