Nancy's trying to get me to agree to buying a weight loss program called P90X. Ever heard of it? I never had, but lately everyone around here is talking about it. It's supposed to make you lose weight and tone your body in 90 days. It looks like an awful lot of hard workouts to me. And they say the diet is super strict. Can you imagine me with abs of steel? At this point, I'd be happy with abs of a sturdy cushion!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I've heard good things about it from friends here, Brad. With a little effort and discipline, it will work! I've seen some pretty impressive results from a few friends. Don't worry about the abs of steel. I workout four times a week for nearly two hours at a time... on top of my sports and everything else and I still don't have abs of steel. Some of us weren't meant to have it! :D

CAH-I would LOVE to go to Macy's Thanksigiving Day parade as well! I do get nervous is large crowds but would make an exception for that.
I am like you about the crowds but there are hotels along the path with views of the parade from your window. That would be perfect but it's VERY EXPENSIVE and they sell out fast! I have looked up the prices and wish I had the money to do that. What fun, parade on Thanksgiving, shopping on Black Friday on the streets of New York City! Maybe someday! =)

Good morning, friends!!

TGIF!

Wow now you really have me wishing!!!! but I am sure it's already booked for 2012...Yall will think Im batty but I love watching planes land and take off,and once I flew to Chicago ohare and stayed at the hilton that is in the airport and my room overlooked the runways...that was a dream come true to sit for 3 days and look at the planes taxi and take off!!!!...that is how a NYC trip to the parade would be,but like you said it would be hard to find a room because everyone books years in advance.

In less than 24 hours we will be on the road to Vermont for the wedding, I went to the Inn's website and they have snow on the ground, I may not be able to go skating, but they have a 500ft drop snow tube area, horse drawn sleigh rides, and a forecast of -2*F for Saturday night. They have wifi so I will be able to bring the laptop. We still have to pack for ourselves and and the boys, so it will be a busy day.

I hope you have a Great Time and be careful!!!! Espically if you go on the snow tubes.

I've been having some fun rehabbing my back. It seems to be coming along quite nice.

I hope your back gets back to 100% soon.

My cold is just mostly in my chest now. EA still has it pretty bad, but there is really nothing I can give her except Motrin or Tylenol. She just has to fight it off I guess!

I hope both of you get over your cold's soon.

Don't know about you but folding my laundry is the same as Chinese water torture!

I hang most of my shirts up on drying racks to dry and they usually stay on there until I wear them because I hate to fold them. I also hate to iron clothes.

I did talk to my dad at lunchbreak and he sounded really good and upbeat. His nurse tells him he is about 70 percent at where he needs to be by May when he is due to be discharged which is great.

That's great news Dawg!!!!!!

I have no idea if they sell out years in advance because I only looked when Thanksgiving was just a couple of months away. They might have rooms available now. I now feel like looking up rooms to see what they have! =)

I know you and I have talked planes. I just love watching military aircraft but that is your job and you like commercial planes. I am fascinated with those as well but nothing like I am with military jets! I go to as many air shows as I can to watch them!

I need to cut back on my soda as well. I only drink Diet Pepsi or Coke and I know it's "calorie" free, but I know it still makes me gain weight in the long run. I try to drink water instead with lemon or one of those flavor packets in it.

I only drink pop when I go out to eat somewhere. I drink plain water the rest of the time.

Just ordered a pizza for EA and I from Papa John's. They said they would have it to my house as soon as they could. That doesn't sound good!

How long did it take?

this evening has been terrible. my s-i-l has a (spelling?)shi-tzu, Perkins, he was 16 & in very bad health, couldn't even stand any more w/out having seizures. this has gone on for months & today she had him put down. my bro called me & said to come over after work because she'd be upset. well, i got there before them & when they drove up my bro was driving, my s-i-l was in the back seat holding him & my mama was w/ them. bro had already dug the hole before they went. bro & i got the box ready, cut some of his blankie & wrapped him in it, put his 2 favorite toys w/ him. OMG, that was so hard! ya'll, he was 16 years old! we all loved him. my s-i-l is pitiful, she said a piece of her died w/ him. they did EVERYTHING together! i brought a solar cross from work so we could mark his grave. i'm feeling really low right now. wish hubby was here!

I'm sorry to hear that. I'll be keeping you and your sister's family in my prayers.

Got a migraine.

I hope your feeling better today!!!!

Guess what??? On the way home we saw a lit up Christmas tree in someones window!

Congrats to your son!!!! I saw 2 houses out in the country last night that still had their lights on. There was also one house that had a pine tree out in their yard all lit up. I wish I would have had my camera with me. It looked beautiful standing out there all alone.

Well, I gotta be honest. I'm slight aggravated. Seems like I never get to come here. I haven't been on two consecutive days in what seems like forever! I can't wait for basketball to be over!

We've missed you too friend!!!! I hope your wife had a GREAT birthday.

I wore my blond wig to school today because the kids begged to see one. They were shocked at how good it looked. One kid asked me if I had my hair "made straight"! None of the teachers could believe it was a wig. In fact, one said, "Who did your hair?" I said, "Raquel Welch." I am going to wear the shorter wig tomorrow.

Did you get a purple one?

Im still here everyone. Been off sick. Bad chest/sinus infection with hot/cold sweats.

I hope you feel better soon!!!!!!

Just getting in from work, and boy is it gloomy out! perfect weather to curl up with a good book,or with your honey and snuggle under the covers!!!TGIF! I can't say that loud enough! I am going to grill hamburgers tonight and am inviting a few buddies over from work, and Brandi invited Julie from next door over too,I think she is making some potato salad and I am using the new grill I got yesterday! everyone have a great friday evening!!!
@xmas366-have fun this weekend in Vermont at the wedding. I think this is the weekend my buddy in Mass is also going for his annual snowshoe -ing(sp) trip in Vermont...I guess his trip would be pointless if there is not snow on the ground,I need to call him before 5 to see if he is going.lol he was spazzing out last week worrying about whether there was going to be snowor not...... anyways have fun and enjoy the snow!!

I have that movie, Merry!
It is one of a group of 10-15 I try to watch every Christmas Season.
(I tried to transfer my tape to DVD too but got a message saying copying of the tape was blocked.)

I think my VHS copy is so old that it doesn't have copy-guard. I got it used on eBay some years ago---paid dearly for it, too! I wonder what's the obstacle to releasing it on DVD?

My favorite gift this past Christmas---Mr. found a 16mm network print of it and bought it for me! It's in beautiful condition, and what a treat to see it on the big screen!

Gotta run, work is coming in.

We should have great weather this weekend. Snow should start tonight with a low of 26. The forecast high Saturday is 28 with a low of 9 and a few inches of snow. My kind of weather!

My Mom's cancer may be back. They found a spot in her pelvic area. With her health and age, there is probably little they can do. As I have shared before, she has fought a brave 10 year fight with colon cancer including 4 major surgeries.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. We continue to pray for you Seawaters.

I'll be praying for your mom, mrgramsey!

I want to go to New York sometime during December! Better yet, I want to go to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Me, too!!!
Will you and Mouse run wild through the house tearing things up?

That is Palmer's job

I've also heard Joann Fluke is good. She has one called Candy Cane Murder, that also has 2 mini mysteries w/ in it.

Her books are quite good, but you really need to read them in order - this is a short that comes in around the middle of the series, I believe. Her books contain recipes and late last year she put out a cookbook.

I also came across this list on line:

Merry, Merry Ghost by Carolyn Hart

I read three books in this series, LOVE them!

Aunt Dimity's Christmas by Nancy Atherton

The Aunt Dimity series is good - there are quite a few books out in it now.

Good afternoon, MMC!

The snow is still coming down - everything looks like it has been dusted with snow - very pretty out! I am done with my computer work, so I am going to do some organizing and hunt for some pieces I want to put in the store next week.

Have a most MERRY evening and stay safe!!!

Well my youngest niece has decided to stay the night and she is demanding strawberry ice cream. So it looks like I'm off to the grocery store. Does anyone else need anything?

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you're all having a good day. I just got here a little while ago, showered, and am ready to go for my day. It's the weekend, but I will be working. Blah. Oh well. DH just works tonight yet and then he's off for his 4 days!

My sister informed me she wants to take my kinds to Chuck E Cheese's tonight. She was going to take them herself, but I think that will be a lot for her to handle. I guess it is for one of her friend's nephew's birthday's, so she hates to ask if I can come along. I hate for her though to take both of my kids without me being there though. It's a lot to watch a 7 month-old and a 2 1/2 year-old, even if you're experienced at it! Anyway, I guess we will see what happenes here in the next hour or two. That may be my plans later on.

Otherwise, I work tonight at 11. DH leaves for work here in 15 minutes. Both of the kids are down for a nap right now. I am off to get caught up today's posts. Ttyl!

As i keep saying you are such a great uncle !!!

If you notice in my signature I added The Greasy Skillet Radio Show link. This is RadioJonD's show and I highly recommend it. Wayne, myself and a few others on here tune in every Saturday evening 8 pm est. and chat it up on facebook. You can still listen without facebook but if you want to chat that is where we are at.

Roll call... Will our regular listeners be there?

I hope the rest of you can pop in for a listen! =)

Not having too good of a day today.

The doctor's office called back and it was a nurse, the doctor wouldn't even get on the phone to speak to my mom. Basically she said there is nothing she can do and that was that. She told my mom that if she's having problems, talk to the surgeon, not her. How nice of her. [/sarcasm] Obviously we spoke to the surgeon first, as my mom tried to tell her before she called this morning.

My mom has had some health issues during the past couple of years, so apparently the new thing for her doctor to do is act like she is a hypochondriac and is imagining these symptoms. I thought doctors were supposed to be nice and have compassion for their patients patients. Doctors did the same thing to my grandma, always dismissing her problems just because she was older and sick.

And this rant does not pertain to all doctors of course...just in a bad mood because everyone is being so dismissive towards my mom when she doesn't feel right.

Hope you are all having a much better Friday than I am.
