You know, I was thinking the same thing this morning that I hadn't seen him post for a few days. I had been thinking about him too. Praying that everything is alright with him!
I spoke to a friend in Maggie Valley, NC this morning, about 30 miles from Asheville, and he said it hasn't been too bad there. Try not to worry.

It is still very windy out, but not nearly as bad as last night and early this morning. There are branches down all around and several trees toppled in the woods. I'm not going out to check on the damage until the wind dies down, though. All the cats are accounted for and both dogs are doing fine, so all is well here.

Good morning, MMC! I am very happy that it is the weekend. I was hoping to do some shopping today or tomorrow, but my ankle/foot has been in too much pain. I can't see myself walking around the mall for more than an hour tops, and that's no fun. I'm not sure what I did, but I was lying in bed the night before last and I noticed that it killed me to twist my foot in any direction, and all of the pain was stemming from my ankle. I had to reach for a coffee mug this morning on a higher shelf and I was in so much pain on my tippy toes trying to grab it. I think it might be stemming from my achilles tendon. I sprained this ankle badly in the past playing powderpuff football, but I highly doubt that it could just be acting up. Regardless, I am happy to be on spring break. I'm going to take it easy this weekend and hopefully my ankle will be better by this week so I can shop, go to lunch, and go get my hair done.
It stormed here last night badly, but thankfully we did not get any tornadoes. I hope all of you who were experiencing bad weather stayed safe and that your homes/possessions did not sustain any damage! This is one thing that I truly hate with warmer temperatures and spring/summer - the bad storms. It is so windy out right now and I am really getting tired of it. We have had such high winds for almost a week now, and they are especially strong today. We wanted to grill out some steaks but that doesn't look like it's going to happen!
I was cleaning out a closet downstairs and I found this picture that I used to have in my room when I was younger. It is of two girls standing at a doorstep and one of them is knocking at the door. The girl knocking is holding flowers and the girl behind her is holding a wreath and Christmas presents. There is snow all around them and an adorable puppy behind the second girl. I liked it so much because it is Christmas-related, so I brought it up and hung it in my room! I remember taking it down years ago because I thought it was childish, but it really isn't at all. I love finding things that remind me of Christmas - especially in a random month like March!
Since I have no plans to go anywhere, I'll probably check back in a few times today. Have a great Saturday, everyone!

I was just looking for the Merry song I changed around from the Monkees theme song, but it must be in a different folder.I was going to surprise you. I'll find it when I'm looking for something else.

I seem to be missing another one, but in my search found two others and something about Carl I had forgotten about so at least the search wasn't for nothing. Now they're all together in the same file so I don't have to sift through hundreds of pages in other folders to find them each week.

Banana nut bread is about done in the oven, italian vegetable soup is cooking in the crock pot, and both kids are napping! The house smells delicious! It's time for me to relax!!! :-D
