Daughter just received her first interim philosophy grade - despite her nerves she achieved a B...she is now confident that she can achieve at least a B overall!

I am just in the process of interviewing for the NE of England Regional Manager role...wish me luck please!

Hi! Good to hear from you! Congrats to your daughter! Good for her! She can do anything she puts her mind to.

Good luck to you. Prayers.

(Hermione) who is sleeping peacefully beside me. Having a real challenge house training her. We take her out all the time, after meals, after drinking, after playing, etc. She does her business and then comes back in. A few seconds later she, well, let's just say she goes again but not outside. She is still pretty young (3 months old) and I had read that Bloodhounds are really difficult to train until they are about 4 to 6 months old. I love her with all my heart, if only I could get it through to her what I need from her. With a name like Caninemom I bet you all figured I knew EVERYTHING about pups. Obviously not. We are going to enroll her in a puppy obedience class and I am hoping maybe the teachers can give me some tips about this situation. If anyone has any house breaking tips, be sure to let me know !!

Good luck with the housetraining and the classes. Hope they help! Give me an update on how she does! I will be thinking about you.

Yesterday was my birthday! I had a great day! My Wife got me the Diablo 2 battle chest for pc. My Son and Wife made me a huge birthday cookie!

Well it turns out that my niece's physical therapist is smarter than her doctors. My sister called her to cancel my niece's appointment for today and she said to bring her down even though she was still dizzy. So my sister said okay because she is only a block down the street. Well I guess within 20 minutes of getting there she had my niece back to normal. She said that it was Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Basically some of the crystals that are in your ear get moved into one of the canals and cause all kinds of problems. My niece didn't show all of the normal signs but if fit and the treatment worked. She said that my niece was probably just really confused the other night and that it wasn't really memory loss. So my sister is pretty happy now.

Seawaters- I'm glad to hear that you are still pretty much pain free!!!!! I'm still praying for you.

One of the girls that my wife works with had this, too. I'm glad it wasn't something too serious!

hi glad to hear that. i had/have that at times. its really not that serious a thing can be more annoying more than anything

It is windy and rainy here in northern California. Weird. It should have rained in December, January, and February!!! I, too, am having computer issues. It is running so slowly that a turtle could catch up with it!!! I hope it will hang on at least until Christmas.

CM3, I LOVE the book. It is even more special to me now that I know it is like the one David got for you. I just finished reading another book, What Would Jane Austen Do? I keep going back to your book to read little snippets. I love reading it a little at a time, just reveling in the words. So beautiful, just like you.

Made, loved the card. I hope you have a great week with your nieces. Your sister is lucky to have you, but you already know that! LOL!!!

I am still pretty much pain-free. There are some major twinges when I move a certain way, but with the medication, I really have a handle on it. I think most of it is just the stitches getting tighter as I heal. Thankfully, the stitches come out on Thursday.

I have received some gorgeous flowers. I also received a gift coupon for a free meal from Round Table, one of our favorite places to eat. Yesterday, a meal was delivered to the house from Cub Scout Pack #68. It was a bake-it-yourself lasagna and a wonderful salad. Man, oh, man was it good. The generosity of people really make me heal faster!!! I received a nice gift card for Christmas for Red Lobster. Since the Lobster Fest is going on, Hubby and I are going to take advantage of that. I love lobster and all other seafood and fresh-water fish. I know I could eat it every day!!!

I think of you all so often. I truly want you to know what your friendships and prayers have meant to me. Just saying a quick prayer when you think of it really has kept me on the path to a quick recovery. I have had some visitors who expected to see a sickly person with no color and a weakly demeanor. They are shocked at how good and healthy I look. I know the intravenous nutrient therapy helped tremendously in addition to the prayers and thoughts of others. I am so thankful that God allowed all of you and the doctors and personnel into my life. I just cannot stop smiling!!!

I think it is time for a nap. I feel like a dog who makes the rounds finding a new napping place. That is my new routine now!!!

TTYL.
i'm so happy to hear you're still pain free. this is wonderful. i pray you continue to recover so well. love & hugs!

Hello, everyone! I have missed chatting with you all. It feels like I dropped off of the face of the Earth when it comes to the forum. I hope that you are all doing well and that things are good with work, family, etc. I am going to go ahead and catch up on reading posts but I think I am way too far behind to go replying individually. I wanted you all to know that I am still thinking of all of you and that you're included in my daily prayers!

This week has been a busy one, and it's only Tuesday! I started back at college yesterday and my professors are just jumping right back into it. My professor today kept us the longest that he ever has in class, and by the end I couldn't stand it anymore. I thought they might be a bit lenient because of coming back from break and the time change, but that wasn't the case at all. This time change is honestly killing me. I almost missed my class this morning because I slept in an hour past usual. I can't seem to get into the swing of things.

The weather has been amazing! Today it is 75 degrees out, my mom and I just went for a nice, long walk. It looks like I will have to unpack my summer clothes sooner than I anticipated. With this winter passing, it means Christmas is only getting closer!

I just wanted to come on and say hello while I took the ice off of my shoulder. I bashed it pretty good earlier and it's a big combination of a cut, a brush burn, and a scrape - not pleasant. I'm going to go ice it again, hopefully I'll come post later on after catching up!

I just got a call from my sister. My brother-in-law has had another heart attack. He is in the hospital and they put in a stent. He was 100% blocked in one artery. I don't know what is going to happen as this is his second heart attack plus he just had serious surgery for an abdominal aortic anuerysm just last year. If you could, please pray for Wes. I am scared beyond belief, too scared at this point to feel anything else.

So sorry to just be reading this now, CM3. How is Wes doing now? I just said a prayer for him, your sister, and you.

I hope JP wins, too. When Hubby came in second in a newly desginated category (boys who did not grow up), he was ecstatic! I can only imagine how JP will feel. GOOD LUCK, JP!!! Even if you can't be there, I am sure he knows you want to be. Plus, he will relive it when he tells you all about it for the 100th time!!!

I totally agree! It sounds like you're such a great dad and I know in my heart that JP knows that you wanted to be there. How did he do in the derby? I am sure he had a blast!!!

Hubby and I slept in until 8:00 a.m. WOW!!! We have not slept that late in years! I am still sore and had some spasms of pain, but the medication is now under control. My daughter called this morning and wanted to know what my plans were--would it be hockey or basketball today. I told her I was going to enter the swim meet and compete in the butterfly. It only took me about 30 minutes to get cleaned up and put on pants this morning. I decided to keep on my PJ top for several reasons: it's a Christmas top, it's warm, and I was too tired to continue getting dressed! If I feel like going to Mass late this afternoon, I will put on a blouse, though!!! No matter, I will tune in to the Greasy Skillet. I can hardly wait!!! I just hope I can keep up with everyone!!! TTYL.

God Bless you. You're such an inspiring, amazing woman.

i had heard the other day there was a shooting in our town. turns out, @ work i learned more about it & it's got me feeling down for several reasons.
the man who was shot & killed, went to his sister' home wanting $, the sister & her husband of course refused. the man shouted profanity @ them & said he would be back & left. he threatened his sister before leaving. when he came back, things happened & the sister's husband had no choice but to shoot him.this man has been on drugs for years, his wife is too. they have 2 children. now the sister & her husband (who i do not know) are nice people & have a nice home. the family is heartbroken, of course. my daughter is friends w/ the daughter of the man that was killed. she used to go to school w/ the girl but since changing schools they have lost touch but still talk on facebook. the man also has a son that's younger. i've asked several family members about the kids & if they stay w/ the mother (the couple was seperated) because as i said she's on drugs also. unfortunately the kids are w/ her but other family members make sure they have what they need. i just don't understand why no one has taken these kids to care for. i know she's the mom but come'on, drugs do NOT make a good mom. i'm worried what these kids have seen, been through, experienced. it's so sad! the friend of my daughter called me @ work today & i spoke w/ her a few minutes, she was @ a friend's house.
as you can see, there's several reasons i am feeling down. please keep this family in your prayers. the brother in law that shot the man & his sister are in turmoil as you could imagine. please pray for them!

What a sad story! I just said a prayer for them. I hope that a positive thing can come out of all this, especially for those kids.

Jennifer wrote: ...I hate that the clocks "spring forward" tonight. I can't even begin to describe how this time change messes up my ability to sleep....

Just skip forward in your brain, Jennifer, to November 3rd when we can "fall back" AND be even closer to the Season!!!

One thing I've always found positive in the past 6 years year about "spring foward" is I have to work one less hour and I get paid for it. I love that.

One thing I HATE about "fall back" is that I have to work an extra hour, but I do still LOVE it because I get paid for it (time and a half even). Plus...it is closer to the season!!!
