My sister here in Indy has decided that she is going to go out to see my sister in Seattle next week. So me and mom get to babysit my niece's next week while my BIL is at work. That means a lot of my days are going to start at about 5am next week

That will be a nice visit for your sisters and for your sister in Seattle to have someone there, since all of this has been going on with your niece lately. I am sure your niece will be thrilled, too.

I am sure you will have a great time. You always do. We don't call you the #1 ! :-Uncle for nothing! :-D

I know how you feel. I have been exhausted lately even if I sleep well. I hope you get to feeling better and get some rest.

I hope you soon adjust to the time change and you soon get some energy back. I know you've had a rough time lately. I've been thinking about you.

Sugar,
What kind of rice do you use in the crockpot? Do you cook it beforehand and then put it in or do you cook it along with the chicken? I love crockpot soups, especially anything with rice and chicken.

Hey Seawaters, good to hear from you! How are you feeling???

I just used the 5 minute rice. I made ham and cheese biscuits that night with them. They took 15 minutes or so to cook and I made the rice along with that. I threw it the crockpot after cooking the rice, so the rice could get some of the flavor with the soup. I didn't want to add it too soon, so it wouldn't get yucky. It was delicious.

I am still pretty much pain-free. There are some major twinges when I move a certain way, but with the medication, I really have a handle on it. I think most of it is just the stitches getting tighter as I heal. Thankfully, the stitches come out on Thursday.

I have received some gorgeous flowers. I also received a gift coupon for a free meal from Round Table, one of our favorite places to eat. Yesterday, a meal was delivered to the house from Cub Scout Pack #68. It was a bake-it-yourself lasagna and a wonderful salad. Man, oh, man was it good. The generosity of people really make me heal faster!!! I received a nice gift card for Christmas for Red Lobster. Since the Lobster Fest is going on, Hubby and I are going to take advantage of that. I love lobster and all other seafood and fresh-water fish. I know I could eat it every day!!!

I think of you all so often. I truly want you to know what your friendships and prayers have meant to me. Just saying a quick prayer when you think of it really has kept me on the path to a quick recovery. I have had some visitors who expected to see a sickly person with no color and a weakly demeanor. They are shocked at how good and healthy I look. I know the intravenous nutrient therapy helped tremendously in addition to the prayers and thoughts of others. I am so thankful that God allowed all of you and the doctors and personnel into my life. I just cannot stop smiling!!!

I think it is time for a nap. I feel like a dog who makes the rounds finding a new napping place. That is my new routine now!!!

TTYL.

This all so great to hear. God is sooo good and prayers are answered.

She is doing much better...although we don't see her as much she does still come over to eat dinner with us about once a week and visa versa with us....she stil has not decided to get another pet though...I realize is does take time to get over the loss of a apet:( but thanks so much for asking about her!!

You're welcome. It will take time for her and only she can be the one who can determine how much time she will need. That is so nice that you guys try to get together every week. I am sure that is so helpful to her. She's had a rough couple of years.

Well it turns out that my niece's physical therapist is smarter than her doctors. My sister called her to cancel my niece's appointment for today and she said to bring her down even though she was still dizzy. So my sister said okay because she is only a block down the street. Well I guess within 20 minutes of getting there she had my niece back to normal. She said that it was Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Basically some of the crystals that are in your ear get moved into one of the canals and cause all kinds of problems. My niece didn't show all of the normal signs but if fit and the treatment worked. She said that my niece was probably just really confused the other night and that it wasn't really memory loss. So my sister is pretty happy now.

Way to go to the PT for figuring that out! So glad to hear that your niece is back to normal and feeling better from that stand point. Still praying for her though.

I just wanted to come on and say hello while I took the ice off of my shoulder. I bashed it pretty good earlier and it's a big combination of a cut, a brush burn, and a scrape - not pleasant. I'm going to go ice it again, hopefully I'll come post later on after catching up!

Ouch! Hope your shoulder feels better!

I do not feel rotten, I do not ache all over, I do not have a cough, I do not have a sore throat!!
I refuse to be sick!!!!

How are you feeling today, Star?

it will only be a half day @ work today so i'm tickled about that. get off @ 1pm, come home, & who knows what i might get into.
my sweet hubby heads to Germany this saturday. gonna really miss him. he'll be gone a week & i know that's not long to some but to me it seems like a lifetime.

Enjoy your half day! Sounds lovely!

Praying for safe travels for your husband. I am sure you will miss him and I understand what you mean, about him only be going for a week, but it will be hard for you. It would be hard for me, too. DH is my best friend and it would be terrible for me, too!

Good morning,

Work will be calling in a little more than an hour, late night tonight. Our street is all ripped up for re-paving, so it will be fun to get out of here with the road all torn up. Trying to get some laundry done, we are so far behind right now, like I said it is run run run right now, I am a week and a half behind on mine, so blahh I hate laundry. This weekend will be another busy one, work Saturday, LC's 4th birthday party on Sunday, his actual birthday is the 20th, it feels like we have no time right now, the next few weekends from now until up past Easter are all "booked" solid.

This time of year is almost as busy as Christmastime for us.

Have a good day!

sugar, you are so thoughtful..... the headaches are still here. i guess they will be till the pollen & allergens of spring go away...yuck, that's a long time. i try not to go outside too much, but i'm an outdoors type o' gal. when the sunshine calls me, i go running & suffer later! thanks for asking!! you are a doll!

I feel so bad for you. I have been running sort of into the same situation too. I used to take Allerga D, then stopped taking it when I got pregnant and never started it back up 8 months ago. I should because I have everyday allergies. Mine are going crazy right now, too. You can get OTC now at the pharmacy, so I just need to go get it. It really works well. Hope you can find something to work for you.

Sugar am so glad she throw up the wipes. in the past i have seen that many a dog has had to be operatated on for things like this as they can stick and cause a blockage
Its a wonder she eat them at all. what kind were they. cleaning wipes or what.

I was so glad too. I kept feeling her belly and it never got hard or anything, but I almost called the vet. The day I was going to, that morning is when she vomited. They are baby wipes. I try not to throw them in the garbage anymore. We have a thing to put diapers in, so I try to always stick the loose baby wipes in there too. She can be bad! :)

Hello, beautiful Christmas Family! ♥
I have baked cakes and cookies today.
We are expecting guest this afternoon =]

A little celebration for DH since we are in Amsterdam for the weekend.
I think he will bring with him his St Patrick hat to Amsterdam
(some Irish pubs celebrate St Patricks Day there too)
His Birtday is on Saturday, the 17th and some years ago we celebrated
his day in Dublin, Irland. Wow, that was fun - and green!
And every year since, he always put the hat on this day.
Just for a while anyway cheesy

Here he is:

We were not alone in Dublin this day, as you can see here:

Love it! Enjoy the time with your friends today!

Good morning! yes she was sick with Jordan and it came in spurts though...not the whole 9 months but not the first 3 months either.lol I would say she had Mornin sickness about 40 percent of pregnancy. She is feeling better the last few days.....thanks for asking!

You're welcome. Hopefully this pregnancy will be better for her in regards of the sickness. She will find that each one is different. I was sick the whole time with my daughter, but only the first 3 months with my son. I wish her the best of luck. I am just so happy for you guys!!!

Thanks. She was doing better after the therapist but then she went to sit up about 9pm last night and she started getting dizzy again.:-? The therapist told my sister that might happen and already had her scheduled to go back in today in case the crystals didn't get stuck in there good.

Bummer. I will keep praying. It sounds like she will probably need the therapy like any typical therapy is needed to just work on it a little bit. Keep us us posted. I will be thinking about her.

Hello, everyone ... there just hasn't been anything to post about lately, just dull, everyday life. On the crochet front, I've re-started my snowflake afghan that I've been poking along on during the winter. It's made of hexagon and half-hexagon motifs, and the pattern for the half-hexagons wasn't very clear, so the pieces didn't fit together properly when I tried to assemble it. But I figured out a way to make the half-hex (must remember to write it down for the future!), and this afghan will look great when it's finished! Which I hope I can do before the warm weather settles in and it gets too hot to assemble it. Now that I have the pattern figured out, I can assemble the pieces as I go, because now the edges of each piece match stitch for stitch.

(Sorry, but that's as interesting as it gets just now!)

Hey...it's pretty intersting to me. I remember when you originally posted about this. If you can post a picture of this when you do get it finished, I would love to see one. I bet it will be beautiful!

Have a good day work. Have a safe trip with that construction. LC's birthday party will give you something fun to look foward to this weekend. Little man is growing up fast! cheesy
