I am sad to say this but I think the coach is going to be fired, too.

What is your reasoning? I think Dan Bylsma is a really good coach. He got them to the playoffs again and then had a good season. Some of things that went on in the playoffs were not his decision, they were the decisions of his players. I think he is doing a good job. I would hope they would still keep him around.

When putting your sheets into the washing machine on the highest possible temperature, make sure that you accidently scoop up your MP3 player and earphones along with them, ensuring that you only find out about this half way through the completed cycle!

When you finally manage to drain your washing machine and retrieve the same said MP3 player and earphones, why not encourage ridicule and snide comments from family members by popping the Sanza player into a tupperware container filled with rice and place on a radiator intended to promote water absorption?

You may be okay---last year my Sansa Clip went through the wash with an extra mini-chip in it. I just let them dry out and they're still fine today, except the clip on the back broke. You'll have the last laugh!

Good evening, MMC. Hope you're all doing well! As I am sure some of you've seen, today is my birthday. To me, it's just another day, but to my surprise, my-co-workers and family has made it very nice for me.

I know I told you earlier in the week what my mom and I did together. Last night, my co-workers had a party for me at work - they brought in all kinds of food and a cake. I was so surprised. I had no idea they were doing it. They even sang "Happy Birthday" to me. I work with such great people.

When I came home this morning, my daughter was waiting right inside the house and wished me a Happy Birthday. She gave me a hug and kiss. What more could you ask for? There was roses and a gift for them and my husband. Then my daughter sang "Happy Birthday." Lastly, before I fell asleep, my husband brought over my son and he simply said, "Hi." It made for the best day!

Right now, the kids and I are just spending time together. DH is at work and I go into work at 11. Him and I are both off tomorrow, so we'll both be able to spend the day together tomorrow. My sister should be here soon to watch the kids for me tonight.

Thanks for everyone who have wished me Happy Birthday on here. You all mean so much to me. MMC is such a wonderful place and it's like a second home to me. You guys are great!

Well, off to drink a cup of coffee and get cup up on the rest of the boards!

Ok - I am done with the rain now! The leak we thought we had fixed late last fall apparently has migrated a bit (it's just in a windowsill in our bedroom, thankfully!)... but regardless... ENOUGH NOW, RAIN! Until the leak is fixed, anyway!

My brother follows the Penguins very closely, including all of the news and reports from sources. He said that it wasn't looking good for Bylsma if we didn't make it to the second round of the playoffs. The same thing happened to us last year - we went out in the first round to Tampa. It is making Bylsma look sloppy and like he can't get us in line to do what we need to do and win. Apparently Mario and others were not pleased with the amount of fighting and that Bylsma couldn't keep them under control. We had a couple of the guys suspended from game 3 I believe. I agree with you that it is not entirely his fault. I think he was doing everything in his power to guide us and encourage us to win - but he can only do so much. The Penguins have been looking sloppy on and off throughout this playoff series. Look at Fleury, the only good game that he had was on Friday - it is a hit or miss with him. The same thing with Malkin, he was quiet for most of the playoff series but decided to show up and try today. Crosby and Dupuis worked well together the first couple of games but then they died out as well. The defense (especially Letang) was horribly messy and unorganized. I think it'll be a shame if he gets fired, but I've been hearing it for a while now. The Penguins organization probably wants him gone because they will be losing a lot of money now while all of the other playoff teams are selling apparel and items, etc. It's always all about money in sports.

I also heard that we might be trading Staal this summer. We have Crosby's contract expiring soon and Malkin will be next year I believe. With how much we'll have to pay the two of them, we probably won't be able to afford Staal, well what he'll want anyway. I heard that we're going to try to get some new defense and maybe replace a couple of people. Who knows! I guess we'll find everything out soon enough!

I am still waiting for this snow to arrive, but it is supposed to come overnight. The reports are all over the place now. Some sources are saying no snow, some are saying a couple of inches, some saying six inches, and some saying a foot or more. I guess I'm just going to be prepared for anything!

An Ice Cream Van just came through our neighborhood!!!!!!!!!

I know some of you were talking about yours this past week. We've never had one here on this block before. I always thought that was weird.

Anyways, the best part.....

It was playing Christmas music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to do a double take, first I heard Deck The Halls, then Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!!!!!!!
