Good Morning all!

I slept 10 hours last night. I sure did need it because I haven't slept well lately.

My granddaughter is here and I think we will listen to some Christmas music today!

I am ready for the Greasy Skillet Show this Saturday! I hope you all can join in. The information on the time and link is in my signature.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmasy Day! :!!

Again we marvel at the nearness of a key Milestone:
One week from today -- the HALF-WAY mark to the Season 2012!
Yesssssss!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Boy, we got some more good rain last night. I had to run with an umbrella to my city council meeting last night. It was another good meeting. We've really been blessed with a council that gets along good together, with no personal agendas or grudges. The Claxton city council and the county commission are rife with back-biting and personal gain efforts.

I think my brother, my son and I are going to see The Avengers tonight! I've been looking forward to this movie for a year and a half. As a matter of fact, there are several good movies out this year...then STAR TREK again next year!!!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good Tuesday morning everyone!

Just sitting here on break at work. Having a coffee. Irish cream. Woo! Keeping my peepers out for Christmas stuff at the stores to take pictures of. Nothing yet. But I'm sure Ill see something sooner or later. Big news! William (3 years old) decided to use the potty! He asked when we were at a friends house and just went. We are so proud of him! Now back to your regular scheduled Christmas music. lol. Speaking of that, well not really, I saw Ernest Scared Stupid in the bargin bin for 5 dollars at walmart. Love that movie. Love Ernest Saves Christmas too! ahhh the Christmas season. Cant wait! Hope you all have a great day! I'm fired up for the Pines tomorrow!

AND EVERYONE is welcome to stay up late for the really scary stuff that Made and I witness.. you havent LIVED until you see hosts dancing with animated scary snowmen...

YABBA!

I still have nightmares about it.

I'll be there but most of my attention will be on the race instead of chatting.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a nice day here in central Indy with a high in the mid 70's. Tomorrow the temps are going to be in the 60's and I couldn't be happier about it. My knee is feeling better this morning so that's good. I have some errands to run this morning and then it will be back home to do some something. I haven't quite figured out what yet. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

my son and his friend went to see it and said it was amazing. Also, stay when it ends, there are 2 shorts after you will not want to miss.

did you plug it in?...had to ask!
When I was pregnant with my daughter I could not get enough of that stuff. Hope you get it fixed so you can enjoy it.

Good question! But yes, I did plug it in---tried two different outlets, in fact, and even reset the GFCI buttons on both of them. The machine was simply DOA. We're going to have to send it back for a replacement or refund. I hope they can replace it, because Mr. bought three quarts of syrup! I think that'll keep me going for the next five years!

I've had snow cones, but never shave ice. I understand it's a snow-like consistency rather than crushed ice. (I'm hoping to make snow cream with it as well as shave ice!) I'm really looking forward to it ... one of these days!

Merry, have you checked at antique stores for the Shiny Brite ornaments? A lot of the vendors at our store sell them starting before Thanksgiving. Good luck with your hunt!

That is a perfect idea ... I didn't think of it because I don't know of any antique shops in our neighborhood. Back in Maryland there were scads of 'em. I spent many a Sunday afternoon browsing through an antiques mall that was a former skating rink. I'm just going to have to find a local antique shop and check it out as the season approaches. (Or send you photos of the repros and have you check your local shops for originals! )

That I would most certainly do for you - I browse the competition all the time :D

Baking this morning. So far I have cardamom cookie dough chilling. On to chocolate cookies and then blackberry sandwich cookies. The cardamom smells so good!!!!

Morning, MMC!

We had some bad storms last night. The roof started to leak into my closet so my parents and I had to take everything out. Luckily my stuff wasn't ruined. Last night I heard the loudest clap of thunder and it scared me to death. I whipped my head so hard and fast towards the window that I pulled something in my neck. When I was feeling to see where it was sore last night I found this lump, but luckily I have it on the other side too, just smaller. I think I just strained some muscles and that's why it's bigger. The whole side of my neck is stiff today and killing me. This is exactly what I hate thunderstorms!

I have lots to do today. I ordered my mom some things for Mother's Day on Friday and they still haven't shipped. I think I might have to up the shipping so I get it on time. She has to run errands today so I am going to sneak out and go get her card and maybe a few other things. I have to get all of my clothes for summer out since it has been so warm lately. Then I need to clean out a lot of my clothes that I don't wear anymore and go take them down to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. And finally my day is going to end with cleaning, how fun!

Have a good day!

You are kind and generous! I DID find an antiques co-op near where I live. If they fail me, I may take you up on your offer. I found a couple photos online of the ornaments I miss.

OHHHHHHHHHH JAYISH.... check in or face a fired twinkie bashing at the PINES...

YABBA!

Howdy Pardners!

I cannot believe we are into May...I kept it quiet but the Mrs. and I just returned from a cruise to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary that took us to the Mediteranean and a few other stops in Europe. It was a dream trip and one that I will never, ever forget...In each city, I look for signs of Christmas...I found them, all over...From a Christmas tree carved from stone in Barcelona, to small Pinochio ornaments in Florence, to nativity scene postcards in Rome. Christmas was well repesented in the cities and within me. My iPod is chock full of Christmas songs all year long but I have to tell you that sitting on the balcony of our cabin, smoking a cuban cigar and listening to Christmas music as the sun sets is just about the finest hour a man can have, at least this man. I thought of this site, and the good folks here...RadioJon, Binger, Crown, Jeff Westover, Maureen, Auntie Mistletoe, folks I've literally known for many, many years now...Life is good folks, especially when you stop in your tracks, look around and says thanks!
