We just got back from my grandson's award ceremony. One award was given to a boy for "Perfect Attendance", he didn't come to the front and someone said, "He's absent today".

As many award ceremonies I have been to, this is a first! :lol:

A very quick shift at work, the training and inventory went very smoothly. We are in a severe T-storm watch until 10pm, the sky was lighting up like the 4th of July on my way home, just raining now, hopefully stays that way.

GOod evening all...I got home from my weekend late last night and was amazed at how quiet it was..on the coast I drove through squalls but the closer I got to home it was just breezy drizzle...in fact we were forecast to have 3 to 6 inches at home and ended up with 0.29 of drizzle...I am so dissapoionted I was hopeing my water bill would come down...well maybe we will see relief soon we have been in a 3 year drought with no end in sight..all the time we are forecaste to have rain and it just does not pan out...I know I should be grateful for what we get and I am it's just aggravating when you can't get a decent rain out of a hurricane!!!!! it's been a long day back at work plus I had to stop at the Dr's office for a consultation when I got off so I have alot on my mind too,Oh and Jordan just projectile vomited on our bed so I am washing sheets as we speak...typical monday...errr tuesday stuff....Have a good night everyone! it's almost already hump weds!!!

The t-storms missed us, but the rain cooled everything off, ahhhhhhh! I have finally gotten into the TV show The Big Bang Theory, we've been watching the reruns on TBS almost every night it is pretty funny. I don't go into work until 5pm tomorrow, so my day will be home relaxing before another quick shift.

Enough of my rambling.

Hello everyone I hope you all had a Happy and safe Memorial Day.

Well something really Christmassy happened yesterday, I was driving my son to a friends house for a BBQ, and I stopped at a stop sign and I looked to my right cause I seen something red and green, and guess what? It was a poinsettia bush or a big bunch of poinsettias that someone planted. I wish I would have had my camera, but I didn't.

Around here we call it a Low Country Boil, but I've never tried it with chicken in it (or lobster). I guess you boil the chicken till done in a separate pot, the add it to the boil?

Next time, drop some whole, peeled Vidalia onions in it, too!

that's it brad, thanks...low country boil. yeah, i've never had it w/ chicken & lobster either. my hubby's a yankee (no offense to any of you), he tweeks everything to his liking. we can't pour it out on the table either because he puts rice in it, bummer. it's good but....i'll definitely use the vidalia next time! thanx

Home again, the move is done and so am I.
I think I am going to be seriously stiff in the morning!

My daughter is all moved in, now she has to unpack and settle in. The place is very nice, bright and clean, much nicer than the basement room she moved out of. This one is on the second floor with a view of the soccer filed were all the cute guys were out practicing tonight. She was talking about buying some binoculars. LOL

I think I will head up and relax with a book for awhile.

Gosh, I wish we had Norwegian summers here in Pennsylvania! I can't stand this heat and humidity... 90 and "oppressively humid" today - blah!!! It's 7:40 am and already 76! I wish we could skip summer completely. Or I could find a way to travel everywhere outdoors with my family encased in some sort of air conditioned bubble, hehe! I am miserable in this weather!

I MIGHT attempt to take the boys to Byer's Choice ALONE today. (http://www.byerschoice.com/) I thought about it last week but I got too busy. We shall see how brave I feel later!

Good morning everything. Its going to be another hot day in London Ontario again. Not as hot as yesterday. The temps are supposed to change as of tomorrow! 60's and 70's instead. NICE. So I have new glasses. The coating came off of my old ones so I could never clean them. Nice to be able to see. I see another podcast came out! I have to listen to that tonight. We bought William a nice swing set and we are slowly putting it together. Well back to work I go. Have a Merry day everyone!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another hot one here in central Indy with a high of 84. At least it's not going to be as hot as the last couple of days. I talked to my sister this morning and it looks like my plan to annoy her on her vacation is going as planned. I told both of my niece's that they had to get their picture taken with every Santa they saw while on vacation. So as they were driving into Santa Claus, Indiana yesterday my niece's started yelling that my BIL had to pull over so they could get their picture taken with the welcome sign. Then they saw the one in front of the dollar store and had to pull over and get their picture taken with it. I can't wait until they head into downtown!! Well I'm off to get some errands run now that the rain has stopped. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I hope you all enjoyed your (US) Memorial Day. I spent most of the day with my cousin who is also my best friend. We rode around Statesboro, visiting Lowes, Big Lots, an Agri-Supply store, Starbucks, and a great restaurant. Fun!

Beryl is still slogging us with rain, but I'm not complaining; we've needed rain for a while now. The only bad part is, I gotta cut the grass again. Well, Jacob does, anyways!

Today is our 30th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe. We spent Sunday night in Gatlinburg, TN just to get to get away for a couple of days. Weather was clear but hot. We did go to the 'Incredible Christmas Place" in Pigeon Forge. I always feel better just walking around there.

It is another scorcher up here today, (for me a scorcher is anything above 75) it is going get near 90* with humidity it will feel like 200*. I ran and did my errands this morning, LC is my sidekick today since daycare is closed for professional development, which is why I am working a half day today. We stopped off at Goodwill to donate some of LC's old clothes and of course I checked out the Christmas merchandise, I am kicking myself now I almost bought 3 boxes of vintage Christmas ornaments made by Shiny Brite, I hope they will still be there tomorrow. They are at least 25 years old in their original boxes, they were sold by a long defunct (at least 13 years) retailer named Bradlees, they were $1.50 per box. I hope they will be there tomorrow. If not it wasn't meant to be.

I will be trying to stay cool today.

We have been busy our family in town, on the go-go-go! Eating & shopping way to much =) But it has been fun. I know hubby is ecstatic to have his Mom & sister here.

June 1 is the anniversary of the tornado, the National Weather Service just announced that a county west of us, and New York State is in a tornado watch until 9pm tonight, it is too close to home right now. The anniversary has been stirring a lot of emotions around here, and to have this now 3 days away from June 1 is freaking me out a little right now, once again just like last year I won't be home if things change. Now I will feel very stressed out at work tonight.

hope the morning finds everyone well & happy. today will be a 1/2 day for me so that's good! oh i meant to tell y'all, the wedding i had to do went very well! all the flowers came in beautiful. haven't heard any feedback from the bride but i hope she was happy.

hubby, daughter, & i will be going to my niece's @ the beach in 2 weeks to house/dog sit for them as they go to the mountains w/ their kids. both my boys will stay here w/ our animals. looking forward to it as she lives close to alot. my sister is 6 houses away & has a pool, the waterpark is 3 blocks, the beach is 10 blocks, it'll be good to get away a little. they have a golfcart we can take to almost everything if we want. daughter is taking a friend. really looking forward to it.

hubby, daughter, & i will be going to my niece's @ the beach in 2 weeks to house/dog sit for them as they go to the mountains w/ their kids. both my boys will stay here w/ our animals. looking forward to it as she lives close to alot. my sister is 6 houses away & has a pool, the waterpark is 3 blocks, the beach is 10 blocks, it'll be good to get away a little. they have a golfcart we can take to almost everything if we want. daughter is taking a friend. really looking forward to it.
