Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another hot one here in central Indy with a high of 84. At least it's not going to be as hot as the last couple of days. I talked to my sister this morning and it looks like my plan to annoy her on her vacation is going as planned. I told both of my niece's that they had to get their picture taken with every Santa they saw while on vacation. So as they were driving into Santa Claus, Indiana yesterday my niece's started yelling that my BIL had to pull over so they could get their picture taken with the welcome sign. Then they saw the one in front of the dollar store and had to pull over and get their picture taken with it. I can't wait until they head into downtown!! Well I'm off to get some errands run now that the rain has stopped. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is our 30th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe. We spent Sunday night in Gatlinburg, TN just to get to get away for a couple of days. Weather was clear but hot. We did go to the 'Incredible Christmas Place" in Pigeon Forge. I always feel better just walking around there.

Good morning,

It is another scorcher up here today, (for me a scorcher is anything above 75) it is going get near 90* with humidity it will feel like 200*. I ran and did my errands this morning, LC is my sidekick today since daycare is closed for professional development, which is why I am working a half day today. We stopped off at Goodwill to donate some of LC's old clothes and of course I checked out the Christmas merchandise, I am kicking myself now I almost bought 3 boxes of vintage Christmas ornaments made by Shiny Brite, I hope they will still be there tomorrow. They are at least 25 years old in their original boxes, they were sold by a long defunct (at least 13 years) retailer named Bradlees, they were $1.50 per box. I hope they will be there tomorrow. If not it wasn't meant to be.

I will be trying to stay cool today.

Oh, you HAVE to get those ornaments! I wish I still had the Shiny Brites we used to put on our tree ... the repros are okay, but I sure miss the originals.

Last night was great! We went to eat with some friends and had a supper steak! The salad with it was phenomenal.....

OH YUM!!!!!!! I want steak in the worst way!

Just got here to my hotel room on the beach and looked at the 3 day forecast and starting tomorrow we are under a tropical storm warning for tropical storm Baryl!!!

Sad day here, we brought Milo to the animal hospital this evening, something was not right with him. The Dr. found a tumor the size of a golf ball in his stomach, we had to have him put to sleep, we will miss him. It has been very tough night.

So Very sorry for yours & your families loss Xmas. Please let your wife know that we're all sending our love.

wet and actually chilly here today. Just loaded up the bread machine for a loaf of sourdough bread, made the starter myself, something I have never tried before. It smells good so hopefully comes out ok.

Your posts always make me hungry.. cake.. bread... YUM

BTW, Did I tell you I was shopping the other day, went to the natural health store (not sure what you'd call it) and they had christmas trees up on their window displays.. from my understanding they leave them up all year and decorate them according to the season! Needless to say, I was excited hahaha.

Also, I have a standing record within my family, I took my 2nd christmas tree down on the first weekend of april. I tried to get my DB to leave it up, but he was having none of that

I just got a cool app on my phone, it is called Talking Santa.
I can record things and Santa says them...could have a lot of fun with this.

Good morning everything. Its going to be another hot day in London Ontario again. Not as hot as yesterday. The temps are supposed to change as of tomorrow! 60's and 70's instead. NICE. So I have new glasses. The coating came off of my old ones so I could never clean them. Nice to be able to see. I see another podcast came out! I have to listen to that tonight. We bought William a nice swing set and we are slowly putting it together. Well back to work I go. Have a Merry day everyone!

We have been busy our family in town, on the go-go-go! Eating & shopping way to much =) But it has been fun. I know hubby is ecstatic to have his Mom & sister here.

June 1 is the anniversary of the tornado, the National Weather Service just announced that a county west of us, and New York State is in a tornado watch until 9pm tonight, it is too close to home right now. The anniversary has been stirring a lot of emotions around here, and to have this now 3 days away from June 1 is freaking me out a little right now, once again just like last year I won't be home if things change. Now I will feel very stressed out at work tonight.
