Good Morning, MMC!!

How are you? What's the plan for today?

I'm just having some coffee, hanging out on MMC, and catching up on e-mails

I'm also daydreaming of one of my favorite places in a resort area up north, Wisconsin. I hope that one day we can buy a lake home there. Until then, I'll just view their webcams to get my daily dose!! We used to vacation there every summer of my childhood. We spent our honeymoon there, as well. Crazy thing is that Adrian's boss also has a lake home there, so we can visit every once in awhile. Such a small world!

Thinking of you all, and hoping you have a lovely, Christmassy day!!

:tree:

Good morning!

Hope this finds everyone doing good! Last night, the wife and I went out to eat and just kinda hung out. She loves to go get Baskin Robbins, so I took her there. It was a good night with a great woman....I'm a lucky man.

Right beside Baskin Robbins, there is a Hobby Lobby. We fought the temptation of going in. We are just going to wait a few more weeks and let more stuff get out. Made, you are the lookout. Let me know.

Now for the count......

Days to the Season: 163

Almost there...200 days here we come!

Good Morning, MMC!!

How are you? What's the plan for today?
nothing, for the first time in days, nothing!

It is wet and chilly out, so after walking to church, then to the store, then home, I think that was enough time outside.

Watching TV, going to make a nice dinner and just relax.

Last night we were at one of the local colleges for my daughters graduation (from High School) during the peak of all the tornado watches and warnings that were being sent out. We were all fortunate that with all the severe storms that did hit us, none of them formed into any tornados. (I can tell you that while we were sitting inside that arena dome, I could here the rain and the wind howling outside and the whole time sitting there, (in the back of my mind) I kept thinking to myself; "Lord , please do not let any bad happen tonight". There was almost 550 Sr's graduating last night, so needless to say, there was alot of families in that arena.

Everthing went according to plans, and my daughter (my little girl, "daddy's girl") has now graduated from High school...."sniff", and has just left with her older brother to head down to Ocean City, Maryland to stay there for a week with 5 of her girlfriends in a room. She's a really good girl, loves school (she averages between 3.8 and 3.9 GPA) honor roll, etc... But I'm still a little sad, It's the first time that she has ever been off on her own, and I'm sitting here, worrying, like a nervous ninny.... and I know and realize, that as much as I have to learn to let go, this is, one of the most difficult things as a Father, that I have ever done, is to start letting go..... She looks at me like her Dad is as tough as nails, But when it comes to her, I melt like a marshmellow on the inside. It makes me sad (sitting here thinking) knowing that's she's growing up....

As a footnote here, I do have one thing that makes me feel a little better, that is her older brother will be down there as well (a few blocks away) and I know that he will keep an eye on her.

Congrats to her! Glad to hear nothing came from the warnings.

Good afternoon,

Getting ready to head to a birthday party, don't really want to go, but the boss says I have no choice. cheesy Another dramatic ending in game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final last night, Brent must be ecstatic his Kings are up 2-0 in the series. It will suppose to be a nice day today but a rainy week.

I find this hilarious I hope you do to.

Have a great Sunday!

we´ve had lunch or dinner...not sure which one it was....since it was at 4pm.....done the laundry, arranged the house and showered....now we a<re watching the Walton´s...the second season...Olivia just had a miscarriage and now the Walton´s have taking in a little orphan for a few days so he is off

we are watching that on TV right now. To bad it started raining.

Was surprised to hear the orchestra playing "What Child is This?" nice to hear a Christmas song, but wondering if that tune has different words in England.

It's not originally a Christmas song. It's called Greensleeves and is a traditional English folk song from the Tudor era. Legend has it that Henry VIII wrote it to woo Anne Boleyn but that's never been proved. The music was definitely written then, though

William Chatterton Dix wrote What Child is This in 1865 after a near fatal illness and when he was confined to bed recuperating, he wrote several hymns. The lyrics were later set to Greensleeves!!

So there you go!!!!!

Good afternoon, MMC!

A bit more paperwork to do and I can call it a day - yay! The changes in the weather the past few days have me feeling rather blah - will be nice to relax for a few hours. I'm still trying to finish that Stephen King book I started about a month ago. I was so bored with it, I set it aside after two hundred pages or so and only picked it up again last week. I only have 40 pages to go now. I swear it is like the hallway the mom in Poltergeist is running down to get to her children - longer and longer the further in I get. Maybe that is why it is considered a horror novel

Have a MERRY afternoon!

Thank you so much, it makes sense now

when I get a book like that I finish it quickly by reading the first and last paragraph of each chapter. You get what is going on without having to run down the long hallway!

Good afternoon, Christmas family !!!!

Not much going on today. It is rainy and cool here - It is going to be quite cool this evening so sounds like a good excuse for a small fire in the fireplace and some Christmas movies/music !!

I think I have a sinus infection.....I won't go into details but you all know what the symptoms are. My neck on one side is a little puffy and hurts so I guess it is warm compresses for me.

So hard to believe but next month is Christmas in July !!!! And of course, Hallmark Ornament's premier for 2012 ....There are SO MANY ornaments I would like to have. There is one which is really something I am just going to set out, called Mrs. Claus' Cupboard. It is like a china cupboard of sorts but there are all sorts of things in it like pies, cakes, Chirstmas teddy bears and dishes, all the things you would think Mrs. Claus would have. The detail is AMAZING and the sculpting of it is really nice. It was an "extra" ornament that only members of the Hallmark Ornament Club can purchase so I got one for myself and one for my sister too !! Last year they had a similar edition called Santa's Armoir !!

Of course, you know me... I HAVE to purchase ALL the polar bear ornaments that may be out this year -One can NEVER have too many POALR BEARS !!

Have a great afternoon/evening, dear Christmas family xo

Hope you feel better, CM3!! Thinking of you!

I saw Mrs. Claus' Cupboard!! So Christmassy & looks just how you would imagine  I stopped by a local Hallmark last week, and picked up the brochure on their Keepsake Ornament club. I buy Keepsake's every year, but have never joined the club. I think I want to, obviously you feel it's really worth it? Any suggestions? I already picked out my two other ornaments..lol. Maybe I should just do it...
