Hope YOU (Yes, especially you!) have a GREAT GREAT day! =]

Yummy! That cupcake just hit the spot!

I have a Nook Tablet - you can surf the web on that. You don't need Tapatalk to access MMC, either. I think there are more free books and stuff with Kindle, though. I know that there is also something called Prime with it - you might want to check that option out if your sister likes to watch movies and television.

You can access MMC on the Kindle Fire without Tapatalk, too---it's not necessary, I just prefer its format on that size screen. Kindle Fire has a built-in browser called Silk, or you can load another Android browser if you prefer.

As for Amazon Prime, you get a free one-month trial with a Kindle Fire, but then it costs $79 per year. That gets you a decent amount of free streaming TV shows and movies (requires access to a Wi-Fi signal). (Go to Amazon and search for "prime instant videos" to get an idea of what's available. Or search for what you're interested in and check to see if it says "Prime members $0.00.) It also gets you free two-day shipping on anything you buy from Amazon (exception: items sold by third-party sellers that are not fulfilled by Amazon). I've also rented a few movies (including "Becoming Santa," which I recommend!)---you can do that with the Fire regardless of whether or not you're a Prime member. If you have Amazon Prime and own a Roku or another streaming device, you can access your Amazon Prime account through the device and watch Prime videos on your TV, or on your computer or laptop.

(Disclaimer: I'm not pushing Kindle Fire over Nook or iPad---just trying to provide information from my experience as an owner! cheesy)

The sun is shining today, it's warm but not too hot, and it's a lovely day out. Days like these really make me miss my grandma. She passed away when I was fifteen. I could imagine on a day like this driving over to her house and sitting on the porch with her, reading our books. Anytime we stopped by at her house in the summer she was curled up on the porch reading. Christmas in July on QVC will be tough for me. My grandma had to be QVC's number one customer with the amount of things she ordered on a weekly basis. Christmas was her absolute favorite time of the year, too. I guess it never really gets easier.

Just having a lazy day here. I might go read on the porch myself. There is something so relaxing about summertime reading!

Have a nice evening, everyone!

Enjoying my last few minutes in the quiet, the boys and wife should be home any second, it is getting dark and cloudy here right now, some rain and t-storms coming in. The boys are going to freak out if it starts thundering out, after the tornado last year any loud noises outside scare them now. I hope all is going well today.
Poor little guys! I know it must be frightening for them. I hope it's not too rough of a storm going through your town.

Sorry to hear, I know what it's like. I miss my grandma too, she passed away in 2003 and I spent several nights at her house during Thanksgiving time. We would cook and share a lot of laughs, then the family came over on Thanksgiving Day. I just think of the good times I had with her every Thanksgiving and enjoy the day to the fullest in honor of her!

I hope you are able to do the same for your grandmother but I know it takes time to get to that point.

Hey everyone! It feels so good to be back here on MMC! We arrived home late Sunday night - about 12:30 am and I didn't get to bed until about 1:30 am. I got up Monday morning and had to work last night. With my schedule being off, I wasn't able to sleep last night before going to work, so I was very tired when coming home today!

We had a wonderful trip and I already can't wait to go back next year! Myrtle was awesome and so much more different from any other beach I ever went to. We had a really nice time.

As you know already... :) ...I'm very far behind. I just want to say that I read the post the other about Snow in Texas and being in the hospital. I had talked to made and he said that SIT was doing well. Just wanted to let SIT and CAH know I've been praying for you guys and am so happy that everything is okay. Hope you continue to do well, SIT!

I've missed all you guys and will try to keep up more often. Thursday is my day off this week, so I plan a day of reading posts for sure!

Hope all is well with everyone. Take care and talk soon!

Good Evening MMC!!!!!!! Whew. I'm wore out. My youngest niece was better after her nap thankfully. She was going to drive us all insane if she kept crying every time you looked at her. Tomorrow we are going to the movies. That should be an adventure. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening, MMC!

It has cooled off here - yay! I went for a small walk - checked on the garden and the peach trees. The garden is doing well - there are blossoms on the tomatoes and a few tiny peppers have started. The peach trees are changing color and losing a lot of leaves - I hope they will be okay. There is one peach on the trees - frosted out and now lack of water is taking quite a toll on them.

Earlier in the day I was in the woods and saw a garter snake - I don't like them and it was too close to Lucy for my liking. My brother removed it to some other part of the property - I hope it stays there! Then he told me that he came across a snake yesterday and it was very aggressive and near Lucy and her kitten. Needless to say, he took care of that one, too. From the description he gave, it could have been a Northern water snake. Lucy is pretty oblivious of what goes on around her - she stays out in the woods with her kitten, so I have to keep tabs on her pretty close. All the other kittens are by the back porch.

Speaking of which, said kittens had me up at 2:30 a.m. There was a lot of lightning out, which woke me up. From the sound of things I thought a big storm was coming so I got up and moved the kittens to a covered area as they like to sleep under the bench on the back porch. They would have been soaked if I hadn't moved them. Well, they would have been sprinkled on quite a bit - didn't get a lot of rain garden-wise, but kitten-wise it was more than enough and it was a good thing I moved them.

I still have some work to do and I want to spend a bit of time with Palmer - she needs to get out and run and play yet tonight.

See you all tomorrow at the Pines!

Have a MERRY evening!!!

:snowball:

Thank you for the birthday wishes for Palmer - she sends hugs to each and every one of you as do I!
