Happy Birthday, Palmer!

Good evening, MMC!

It has cooled off here - yay! I went for a small walk - checked on the garden and the peach trees. The garden is doing well - there are blossoms on the tomatoes and a few tiny peppers have started. The peach trees are changing color and losing a lot of leaves - I hope they will be okay. There is one peach on the trees - frosted out and now lack of water is taking quite a toll on them.

Earlier in the day I was in the woods and saw a garter snake - I don't like them and it was too close to Lucy for my liking. My brother removed it to some other part of the property - I hope it stays there! Then he told me that he came across a snake yesterday and it was very aggressive and near Lucy and her kitten. Needless to say, he took care of that one, too. From the description he gave, it could have been a Northern water snake. Lucy is pretty oblivious of what goes on around her - she stays out in the woods with her kitten, so I have to keep tabs on her pretty close. All the other kittens are by the back porch.

Speaking of which, said kittens had me up at 2:30 a.m. There was a lot of lightning out, which woke me up. From the sound of things I thought a big storm was coming so I got up and moved the kittens to a covered area as they like to sleep under the bench on the back porch. They would have been soaked if I hadn't moved them. Well, they would have been sprinkled on quite a bit - didn't get a lot of rain garden-wise, but kitten-wise it was more than enough and it was a good thing I moved them.

I still have some work to do and I want to spend a bit of time with Palmer - she needs to get out and run and play yet tonight.

See you all tomorrow at the Pines!

Have a MERRY evening!!!

If you buy some granulated sulfur and spread it in the area you want snakes to stay out of, it does work!

We sell it at our feed store and people swear by it. I even bought some one time to keep fleas out of our yard (works for that too). We had a nest of baby snakes (non poisonous) under a pot that my grandsons would go and look at every day. Well, I put some sulfur out for the fleas and the next day I couldn't find the snakes! I wasn't trying to run them off but they didn't like that sulfur! You might give it a try.

Happy Birthday to your daughter Merrymisteltoe!

Happy Birthday to her!!!!!!!!

thanks to you guys & snowflake for the birthday wishes for my daughter.

Hey everyone! It feels so good to be back here on MMC! We arrived home late Sunday night - about 12:30 am and I didn't get to bed until about 1:30 am. I got up Monday morning and had to work last night. With my schedule being off, I wasn't able to sleep last night before going to work, so I was very tired when coming home today!

We had a wonderful trip and I already can't wait to go back next year! Myrtle was awesome and so much more different from any other beach I ever went to. We had a really nice time.

As you know already... :) ...I'm very far behind. I just want to say that I read the post the other about Snow in Texas and being in the hospital. I had talked to made and he said that SIT was doing well. Just wanted to let SIT and CAH know I've been praying for you guys and am so happy that everything is okay. Hope you continue to do well, SIT!

I've missed all you guys and will try to keep up more often. Thursday is my day off this week, so I plan a day of reading posts for sure!

Hope all is well with everyone. Take care and talk soon!

i knew you would love it sugar, who wouldn't? lol sure did miss you though!

Good Evening MMC!!!!!!! Whew. I'm wore out. My youngest niece was better after her nap thankfully. She was going to drive us all insane if she kept crying every time you looked at her. Tomorrow we are going to the movies. That should be an adventure. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

the girls will be much better tomorrow uncle made....you'll see.

Poor little guys! I know it must be frightening for them. I hope it's not too rough of a storm going through your town..

The storm missed us, I think since last years tornado we have had only one thunderstorm while they were awake. We've been pretty lucky.

Good evening,

A good day off today, late day tomorrow. I can't stop thinking of Christmas today, I swear I could smell it in the restaurant when I went to pick up the pizza for dinner. Looking forward to QVC Christmas in July.
I must get some shut eye soooo....

good night everyone!

What a great uncle you are, Made! Have fun at the movies! Are you going to see Madagascar 3?

Nope, it's going to be Kung Fu Panda 2. The local movie theater is doing a free kids movie every Wednesday during the summer. So most of them are a couple of years old. They are showing Arthur Christmas for Christmas in July so I'm pretty sure that we will be there that week to.

My aunt is planning on taking them to see Madagascar 3 this weekend.

Goodnight Everyone!!!!!! I'll see Y'all at the Pines tomorrow night.

Yay only 195 more days!

Have a good night everyone, I hope all the MMC family has had a very nice day.

Good morning mmc friends
Hoping all is good with you . your familys and all furbabies
Wed again.so happy pines day
And for you guys will soon be christmas in july. we dont have that over there wish we had. think its cause july is a major hoiliday most people are of 2 weeks and a lot go away on hoilidays
The weather is hard and miss cool and some rain. but think its gives the weekend dry
A few of my mates are a little sore at me. 2 of them have a habit of ringing me during the day when am working. and i cant talk to them. and then they give me a hard time about not phoning them back.
But i need try and explain that. in a nice way they have nothing to do all day as they are both on goverment money. and that i have to work and in the evening by the time i run round the shops come home and get dinner . and i also said did they think that the washing.ironing, and dusting do them selfs. as well as feeding the birds and cleaning them out..
I was as nice about it as i could have been.
Right guys and dolls you all take care and will talk soon

Good Morning, Fellow Peak-of-the-Week 'Pines Piners.

Can we be at mid-week already?
(Seems like we were here the same time just last week.)

Well, regardless, let's take a look at this:
Days to the Season: 153
Days to Christmas Day: 195
Only 12 more days to the half way point to Christmas Day!

More rain fell yesterday and last night but now the weather service says we are in for several straight dry days with moderate temps and low humidity.
I'm looking forward to it!
We have started the day here at 68 degrees.

Allrighty!
Carl is ready!
The 'Pines is ready!
The Fired Twinkies are ready!
Question is.......
Are YOU ready?
If so, we will see you at the 'Pines!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends.

Good Morning, shellie!!

Sorry that your friends are having a hard time understanding. I'm sure they'll see the error of their ways, just may take a bit of time for them to really think about it. Good luck.

Hope you have a nice afternoon, girl~ xo
