I am stock-piling the freezer with baked goods as a heat wave is coming and I will not be using the oven whatsoever until it is done with!

She got her shots & a few other tests, all came back negative & normal.
They also thought her heart sounded good, her cough is hopefully just a combination of allergies & a constricted/collapsing larynx that some small dogs have- they reccommended giving her a 1/2 tablet of benadryl twice a day for a week to see if that helps.

Those of you east of California: It has been in the low 70s today and is supposed to continue for a few days. I needed a sweatshirt!!! It also rained and is supposed to rain tonight! This is WEIRD weather!!!

You are lucky!! Our heat has not subsided whatsoever =( Enjoy!!

My blood test was good enough for me to have chemo on Monday. I also lost six pounds!!!

I am watching HP and the Deathly Hallows part I. Nothing like Harry to help me unwind. I am contemplating taking more tests for other companies but I am scared.........I am fed up with my present company but it IS a position I can count on. I keep going back and forth about leaving again /not leaving.......I just know that something is going to have to give somewhere.....

It is a lot cooler here this evening. It was nice to go outside with Hermione tonight and not be in lung crushing heat.......It is supposed to go down into the high 50s for a few nights.

I can't believe (Lord's willing) it will soon be Wishbone's birthday. I never thought he would be here another year. If he makes it, he will be 16 in August !! He hasn't had any more "episodes" since last September after I started him on the second heart medication.

Hermione is going to be "fixed" this coming Wednesday. I know it is just a "routine" procedure but I still worry. She is 7 months old now. I can't believe it. I was just thinking.......I have Hermione and Lily both named after characters of the Harry Potter series.....I think I perhaps need someone to call Harry himself !! or maybe even Sirius !!

Good late afternoon, Christmas friends. The temps have been great today, so I plan to heat up the oven to make some peanut butter cookies after dinner. I am trying a new recipe that uses sweetened condensed milk and Bisquick. Today is Tiffany's birthday, and she is coming to visit tomorrow; so I thought I would have a tasty treat for her. TTYL

Hey all!

Just hanging out with the wife. We are watching UFO stuff on Netflix...I'm such a geek when it comes to this stuff, but it's interesting. I'm not going to say I do or I don't believe in UFO's, but I am open-minded.

Tomorrow, I'm going to be as lazy as possible. My plans are to get up in the morning, pick up the house, and then do nothing. I'm getting ready for some time off and I feel like I need to practice being lazy.

Adrian & I took a UFO-hunting road trip a few years ago near Area 51 / Rachel, Nevada. The highway that took us there was called "The Extraterrestrial Highway" cheesy It was fun, yet unnerving at the same time. There's a cafe/museum in Rachel named the "Little A'Le'Inn." It has an Alien gift shop, gag gifts, etc. Hokey, but great! Lots of locals (some strange, but had great stories) there hanging out. It was kind of scary driving back as the sun was setting, had to pull over once to look at a map, there were signs everywhere warning you not to drive any closer, guns will be drawn, etc. We'll have to do it again before we move away!

Another Sunday night and another week of trying to get to the weekend coming up. I am really sad to say my little Wishbone is in the hospital. I should not have bragged he would be 16 in August I guess..... He has congestive heart failure and I don't know if he will make it.....I miss him so much, I can't even put it in words.

Just got home from work, my wife had to take JP to the Dr because behind his ear was all swollen and itchy. She called and left a message before I got home and said they were going to get some bloodwork done to see if it could be a tick bite. hmmm?

Hey everyone! How are you? I am well - I know it's been at least 2 days since I've posted and much longer since I've responded to the posts. Life has been so busy lately, but has been for all good reasons. I've missed you all!

Nothing is really new here. DS will be 1 in 2 weeks and I've been busy planning his party. It will just be mainly family, but I still like do a nice party for my kids. It should be fun!

This coming weekend, is the weekend DH and I are going to Pittsburgh for the weekend. I am looking foward to it. 4 nights of work, then I am off to do that. Can't wait.

Anything new with you guys? I hope all is well with you all. I know I have missed a lot. I will try to read and post here in the near future, as much as I can. Thank you ... Mr. is spending this evening with FIL, then we'll be getting up early tomorrow to pack. I've already got packing butterflies. I don't have fear of flying, but I DO have fear of not getting to the plane on time or forgetting to pack something vital, even though I make a list and check it twice (just like Santa).

Hope everything went well with your flight. I know exactly what you mean. I always get uptight about traveling. On our honeymoon, on our way to St. Lucia, I think the flight from BWI to San Juan, we almost missed, because of a delay. We actually had to run from the terminal. We made it, but just barely. They were calling the last call.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another HOT day here in central Indy with a high of 93 degrees. The party celebrating Dale Jr's win is still going strong here this morning. I think I'm going to watch the race again here in a couple of minutes. Then I'm going to run to hobby lobby this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Hobby Lobby has a couple isles of fall and Christmas items out. I was very excited when I went the other day. I could buy so much. I can't wait closer to the season!

It is a gorgeous, cool day here in Mid-Michigan - I love it! Perfect day for baking, so I made sour cream and garlic chive muffins, corn meal and tomato muffins, and a beef bacon and morel mushroom pizza on 8-grain crust - yummy! My granddaughter was over here earlier and was asking to watch Christmas movies on TV. Hmm.. Think she takes after me? :!!

Just returned from family vacation on Grand Cayman Island...first time on a tropical island for me, very pretty and very serene.
Noticed that Hallmark Channel has announced the weekend of July 14th and 15th as all Christmas movies for those of you who enjoy a bit of a corny, but Christmasy TV movie fest as I do!

I am glad you enjoy your vacation!
