Happy Canada Day!!!

Dear Christmas friends,
I just recveived this email and thought I would share. It is amazing how we learn from our families and how important it is to pass down from generation to generation our own learning. What do you think? Read the short intro in this email; then watch the short video.

Living Bridge

We should all be leaving something in nature for the future of our

children other than a debt, are you? Watch what these people are doing

for their children............

MEHGALAYA is a tribal kingdom in Assam. It is jammed between Bangladesh

and Bhutan. It is near SHILLONG, the capital.

See the photos of the area under Shillong on the internet - very

beautiful. Cheerapunji is a town near by that gets the highest rainfall

in the world!

Absolutely amazing!

The most successful execution / construction of living Bridges with a

life span of many centuries in one of the most remote parts of the

World. Man making nature work for him.

I couldn't comprehend what they meant by a living bridge until I

watched this.

Quite a unique concept for folks who have limited technical education,

but seemingly have sufficient common sense to survive. No civil

engineering is involved at all.

Good evening,

Long day at work, but I have 3 days off in a row now!!! WOOOOHOOOO! It was a hot day here, but the AC has us chilled. I hope you all had a great Sunday!

Have a good night!

Enjoy your time off!!!!!

I love them too but I was so tired of hearing about them last night after the race. They must have played this commercial 10 times during it-

I totally misunderstood and thought you were dreaming happily about them---not because you were force-fed with them via TV! Pardon my density.

Here's some info on what it's about and who's in it.

I'm impressed by the lobby card---looks like it's in fantastic condition for its age! (The film was released in 1940.)

I think I saw it on the TCM schedule the other day, but I wasn't home when it was aired.

Don't worry about it. I should have said that I was going to have nightmares about them.

Thinking of you, shellie!! And I'll keep you in my prayers, friend. Things can only get better. xo

The BBC had some very good mystery movies - one series in particular I loved to watch - Midsomer Murders. There were several seasons of movies - they are out on DVD, but way out of my budget. You might find them on Netflix, though. Reading all the movies you have been watching is making me miss television
I hope you have a lovely Sunday, too, snowflake!

Thanks, Meceka! I've never heard of that series, can't wait to check it out!!
Hope you had a nice Sunday, and are feeling better, friend! =)

Good afternoon, MMC.

The rain is south of us - darn! I'm going to water the garden again, but not until at least 7:30 tonight. This heat wave has done a number on my cats - very sad right now. I feel so bad for all those without electricity due to those storms along the coast, esp. those who cannot handle the heat and humidity. My prayers go out to them and all those who have no one to look out for them. I'm still not feeling well - taking something every 4 to 6 hours. I don't feel any worse than I did, so I think it is working.

Stay cool and hydrated, everyone!

((Hugs)) to your cats especially, and all of your furkids!! Including Bo, Mouse, and Palmer of course! xo

And i might hide the rest of the week as well lo

Morning all monday again they come round to quick
I really hope this week is better for me than last week.
One of the girls that worked in the shop who also just lives right across the road from me and has been a friend for over 20 years...
One of the days she was working i happen to add the book up and it was wrong. 2 days later it was wrong again. so i said to her about it.and from that day to this i have not heard from her.. then on sat night i decided i wood check a bit more and i took each day she was working and added it up againsted what i had wrote down money ways for each day and out of 27 days she was wroking and i only went back to may. 17 of them days were wrong.. every other day that someone else was working the books added up or were over .
So you can guess how i feel about that. its not the money any more. its that she though i was a stupid so and so.. guess i should have been adding the book up each night. i wood have caught it on long ago..
My friends are like bears. they wanta do this and that . but i have told them to leave it, but there is 2 i dont trust as if they meet her i no they will not walk by her without saying something. and i have to live across the road from her
RANT is now over lol lol
Hope your monday bes good and hugs to all furbabies,, talk soon

Good Morning, Folks.

Our Weekend has morphed into yet another week.

Which in turn brings us to a new count figure:
Days to the Season: 134
Days to Christmas Day: 176
A scant 12 days remain now until Milestone #11, the 2/3 Season mark.
Gee! Two Thirds!
Hard to accept.

Not quite as hot yesterday but still pleanty heatful. Humid, too.
Not sure when this will all end. Perhaps with a nice rain storm?
We show 75 degrees here, currently.

OK.
I hope everyone's week is off to a great start and that you are already having a Marvelous Monday.
Keep the Christmas faith, Friends!
