Good afternoon, MMC!

I am finished with work for the day - yay! There is still housework to do, but I will be cranking the Christmas tunes and it will go by fast! Earlier I listened to a TSO CD I forgot I had (shocking, I know!) and it put me in such a good mood. I think tonight calls for Michael Crawford's Christmas and possibly the soundtrack to Miracle on 34th Street, both of which I have not listened to as I just recently found them at a thrift store.

Hi everyone!

My eye started bothering me last night and when I woke up this morning I couldn't even open it - so I knew I had pink eye. Since the doctor's office is closed today I called their line to see if they'd order me a prescription for it and they wouldn't. So I had to go to an emergency clinic and pay a fortune because I really needed the drops since I'm contagious. Not exactly how I wanted to spend my Sunday and now I can't go to the town's carnival/fireworks tonight. I am so disappointed!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and stayed cool! The air conditioning has been running non-stop here for quite some time now.

Anyone have any fun plans for the evening, or just relaxation?

I enjoy catching up with you guys on a Sunday morning. Only now I wish I had a cat and a cup of tea! The tea I can get, but not the cat. However, Cat (the neighbor's cat) was out and around the neighborhood last night, so I went out and said hello and sat down and petted him/her for a while, and then s/he followed me back to the house for some more petting and some kitty treats. I miss Gloria's kitties, Suki and Pumpkin.

I have 4 very lovely stray kitties here that need a home and they said they wanted to come live with you! :wink:

Ooops! I should have mentioned that this is just a picture I found on the internet of rain with Christmas lights in the window. Just so happens that looks like my cat sitting at the top of our cat tree!

I think I am going to crawl back in bed for an hour & watch my Christmas in New York DVD! Yep, think I'm gonna be lazy for a bit

Well, the vacation is over. I'm back home. My wife left about an hour after me, so she will be pulling in momentarily. Good trip. Tired. About to go play with dogs. I will see everyone later tonight.

I finally got caught up on the last 2 days of posts. The tribute band was very good, they didn't dress up like the Beatles and there were 5 members, but they sounded very good. The theater was a very intimate setting, only about 150 seats, and we were 2 rows from the stage. We had a very good time last night. We actually slept until 9am this morning with the kids at my in-laws, they usually wake us before 6am, so that was a relief to get that sleep. Just a lazy day today, another 90*F+ day today, AC is on keeping us cool. I hope all of you are keeping cool.

Our church is having a Christmas in July party at a senior citizen home and I hope we can go! I have never been to a Christmas in July party or never known of anyone personally having one so it should be fun! I need to find out more about it but I guess we will have entertainment, food and gifts for the seniors.
