Of course. You would really be family then!!!

What am I going to do with the 2 of you?

Wait. Would that mean I could use the lear to fly to the nascar races every weekend?

Good evening, MMC!

Have a MERRY evening and stay cool!!!

:snowball:

I had to go to Hallmark on my lunch break today, to exchange the "Merry Christmas To All" ornament that I bought on Saturday. The music & Santa's voice sounded kind of distorted. Anyways, all good now!

I have a question for MADE & CAH- do you guys know if the Hallmark stores you guys went to are independently owned? I had never seen or heard of holiday villages at any of the ones I've been to out here, so I asked...and the manager said that all of our stores are corporate out here in Vegas, and the ones you went to were most likely independently owned. I like your selections better, I think! lol

That ornament is my favorite one this year! Lucky you!

I think most of the Hallmarks are independently owned. The village they had there were all Dept. 56. and it was only at that one Hallmark.

I like the Hallmark movies because they usually have a happy ending.

That's what makes Christmas movies great, are the happy endings! I still enjoy them even, like I mentioned, the story line is just so-so. Still pleasant to hear Christmas! I wouldn't do that with any other type of movie I think is so-so. Christmas? Heck yeah! :D

btw I ordered two christmas items....the book "the polar express"...kandice loves watching it....so I think reading it to hear...starting some time in November of course will be fun for her......and a Bing Crosby CD....luv it....have not arrived yet....but will sure do tomorrow or come Wednesday

Sounds wonderful Track !!! xo

We won! We Won! WE WON!!!

Actually, Snow-in-Texas won! We went to 2 different Hallmark stores Saturday and they had a drawing at each store. (Did they have them everywhere?) Anyway, one of the stores called Wayne and he won a Yankee Candle!!! We both love those candles and wanted to buy one but didn't. Tomorrow we will go pick it up. I hope he gets to choose the scent!

I haven't read any of the post yet. I have a bunch of stuff to do but had to tell you all about this. I will be back to catch up!

(Sounds like I am excited like we won a vacation). ha ha!

That's Great !!!! Congratulations SIT and CAH !!! xoxox

It is the same here! Stay cool!!

:hi:

You, too! Nice to see posting on here, judesmama!

I like the Hallmark movies because they usually have a happy ending.

Hi, snowflake! The weather here is hot and humid and dry. I didn't have access to Hallmark, but of the movies listed, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year would be my favorite - love that one! I hope you have a fabulous day, too! {{{hugs}}} for you and Harlowe!

Well said!

I've gotten two zucchini from my garden so far - cooked them today and they were so good! Enjoy your over abundance - there are so many things you can make with them!

Enjoy your cold front!

Have a safe trip, mgramsey! Thank you for the tip on the Christmas shows!

Very awesome!

Enjoy your vacation day!

Congratulations!

Pack your things, Meceka, you will come with us to see Santas Polar Bears !!! xoxo

I must tell you a true story--it just happened. I have said many times on the Countdown that I do not like or use the "s" (stupid) word. It grates on my nerves. Well, this morning, around 7 a.m. or so, you probably heard me shout it from the roof tops. You see, I got up early to make a "from scratch" cake. I put in the VERY LAST ingredient (the final cup of flour) and something was niggling in my brain. I went to my flour sack (a plastic bag I use to put the flour in when I put it in the freezer). For some reason, I decided to taste the flour. Well, it wasn't flour at all but powdered sugar!!!!! I had to start over and redo the cake. Luckily, I had a brand new bag of flour and enough buttermilk to make another one! I really wanted this cake to turn out because I am taking it out to the pharmacy staff at Wal-Mart. They have been so gracious to us every single time we have a prescription. They go out of their way to get my medicine ready in less than an hour, every single time. So, I went to one of my old Southern Living standbys that I have made over 40 times. But STUPID kicked in before I could even finish. Thank goodness I decided to try the flour (finally) or the pharmacy would have had a "cake" of cooked frosting! Hubby let me blame it on chemo brain. Do you guys still want to be my friend?

LOL, I could write a book about all my bloopers with baking!!
Throw it out and start again.....actually my kids like my mistakes most of the time.
The only one no one liked was when the vanilla and soy sauce somehow got mixed up. Interesting flavor for chocolate cake.

 That cake could be served at a Chinese restaurant!

Good evening, Christmas family

It has been really hot here today.

I got some more hopeful news from the company I am trying to get back with. The owner was asking me what kinds of reports I prefer and I told her it doesn't matter as long as I have enough work and I am NOT working afternoons. She also said everything is on track for me to come aboard with them in about two weeks. I am still being cautious though.........People will promise you the stars and then not deliver......But I am hopeful.....I will keep you up to date on what is happening....

I am watching Pawn Stars right now because that is just about all that is on.........sure miss the Christmas programming on Hallmark. I agree with Xmas- he at one time said that there should be a 24/7 channel on TV that is Christmas !! I would love that...!!!

I hope all are having a Christmassy evening xo

Seawaters - I am so sorry about what your daughter is going through. The guy obviously does not realize he has a gem for a wife......xo

Big ((((Hugs)))) everyone, especially to :Ella, Harlowe, Snowball, Gomez, Ophelia, Sidney, Alex, Merlin, Snickers, Victor, Daisy, Diva, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Chico, Meca, Alvin, Missy, Scooby, Sasha, Jacob, Cracker, Bunny B and all furchildren eveywhere espcially Santa's Polar bears xooxxoxo

It's actually Christmas shows from the 40's & 50's. Radio versions of "Its a Wonderful Life", "Miracle on 34th Street", Gunsmoke, Jack Benny Show, Bing Crosby show, Dragnet, Fiber McGee & Molly, etc. Here is a link to the show schedule. The same shows are broadcast at different times in case you miss one you like.

That sounds great ... too bad we don't have Sirius/XM! But I think we have at least some of those on cassette. (Yeah, I just showed my age.) Years ago we got a huge set of cassettes of something like 50 Christmas OTR shows. I've never heard them all yet!

I need a little boot in the butt this evening for feeling glum and sorry for myself. My only chance to see Mr. today was before 7 p.m., because he's looking after his dad this evening, and I'll be asleep when he gets home. One of our deep-pocketed clients at the office came up with a request for some new ads at the end of the day, so I had to stay late. I got home just in time for our cars to pass each other on the street as I was getting in and he was leaving. In the morning he'll be asleep when I get up; tomorrow night he's going to his dad's right after work, so I'll be asleep when he gets in ... at this rate I won't see him long enough to talk to until Wednesday afternoon when we leave for the convention. Thanks, client.

To be realistic, that client helps to fund my paycheck, and other folks have much bigger woes than I ... but I felt so forlorn when our cars passed and I couldn't even kiss him on his way. Life is like that. I've got to learn to roll a little bit.

Seawaters, I'm convinced that woulda been a great cake!
CAH, contrats on the win!
Made, if you take the lear to Nascar races....you will come get me, right?

Hey gang!

So, this morning I left and drove two hours for a one hour meeting, drove back one hour and 45 minutes for a three hour meeting, drove home 15 minutes for a two hour meeting, then took a 10 mile bike ride.

Now, I am going to have a meeting with my bed, the tv, the coffee pot, and MMC....gotta love the good things...
