Just a quick hello!

H E L L O!

We are packing our suitcases...
We are flying to Stockholm (Sweden) for some days.

We were actually thinking of going to Aberdeen (Scotland)
but there is not much to do for our 4 year old there...
(I would love it though)

So I guess we have to take the trip there later...
I almost booked the hotel before I changed my mind.. haha..
Have some trouble making decisions lately..

Wishing you all a GREAT day and SUPER week!

Sending love & hugs cheesy

Hope you are doing well xoxo

Absolutely!!! The list on your bear's siggie is what I pray for my family and friends every night! Of course, I use human talk!!!

I know......I pray the same things...I loved the siggie because people do not normally think of polar bears wanting these things but I know that they do....only in bear language !! xoxo

I must tell you a true story--it just happened. I have said many times on the Countdown that I do not like or use the "s" (stupid) word. It grates on my nerves. Well, this morning, around 7 a.m. or so, you probably heard me shout it from the roof tops. You see, I got up early to make a "from scratch" cake. I put in the VERY LAST ingredient (the final cup of flour) and something was niggling in my brain. I went to my flour sack (a plastic bag I use to put the flour in when I put it in the freezer). For some reason, I decided to taste the flour. Well, it wasn't flour at all but powdered sugar!!!!! I had to start over and redo the cake. Luckily, I had a brand new bag of flour and enough buttermilk to make another one! I really wanted this cake to turn out because I am taking it out to the pharmacy staff at Wal-Mart. They have been so gracious to us every single time we have a prescription. They go out of their way to get my medicine ready in less than an hour, every single time. So, I went to one of my old Southern Living standbys that I have made over 40 times. But STUPID kicked in before I could even finish. Thank goodness I decided to try the flour (finally) or the pharmacy would have had a "cake" of cooked frosting! Hubby let me blame it on chemo brain. Do you guys still want to be my friend?

Of course we want to be your friend and we love you more than ever xoxoxoxoxo (((Hugs))))

Good Morning, friends!!

It was so hard to get up this Monday morning.

Especially after such a lovely, Christmassy weekend

We have a couple days left of higher 90 degree temps, but by Wednesday we'll be back to the 100's. Must enjoy them!

The humidity & rain really was nice. Probably because that's all I ever knew before I moved to Vegas 10 years ago. It cooled us down! We had some flooding in town yesterday, along w/ hail. I really miss thunderstorms.

How's your weather?

Did a lot of you guys that have access to Hallmark channels, watch their movies over the weekend? What were your favorites?

Well, better get cracking.

Have a fabulous day!!!!!!

:merry:

It is super hot today here but I am taking an unexpected vacation day so even though it is hot it is heaven !! xo

We will be your friend forever and you are not stupid!!! In fact, that might be an interesting tasting cake. You might have come up with a new recipe! :D

You are VERY kind to think of those at the pharmacy, especially not feeling well with what you are going through. That should inspire us all to take the time out to thank others for a job that others do daily! I know they will appreciate your kindness very much!

I could not have said this better !! xoxo Thanks CAH ! xo

You are right, Made is the nicest guy in the world! If she got with him, she would never have to wash another dish since I do them all.

Oooo!!! I forgot about the dishes! That should cheer her up! Now, if we can just get Made to cooperate!

What am I going to do with the 2 of you?

Wait. Would that mean I could use the lear to fly to the nascar races every weekend?

I got a chance to watch The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (loved Henry Winkler in that one), The night before the Night before Christmas. Then I switched over to TNT and watched Deck the Halls and A Christmas Carol (Patrick Stewart).

We were thinking about making Christmas cookies, but we opted to make Zucchini Bread instead (sine my garden is of abundance with them, these past few weeks, I picked about 50 of them, Yikes....) Afterwards, I jumped on-line a couple of times to do a shout out to everyone on MMC.... 161 Days to Christmas YEA!!!!!!!!

I loved The Most Wonderful Time of The Year and Mistletoe Over Manhattan !!! xo

SiriusXm radio channel 82 is having their Christmas in July week 7/15-21. It is the old radio shows from the 40's & 50's. Almost all the shows are Christmas related.

Hmm. Who do I know with a sirius radio?

Glad to hear that you had a good vacation.

so...the first one and a half days without kandice are over with....and still three more nights :(.....lol....I am sure she doesnt miss me one second....playing with her cousins like crazy :D

I am sure she misses her mommy....she may not realize it but she does !! xo

Okay I want the oven safe paper bakeware set that's on HSN right now.

We won! We Won! WE WON!!!

Actually, Snow-in-Texas won! We went to 2 different Hallmark stores Saturday and they had a drawing at each store. (Did they have them everywhere?) Anyway, one of the stores called Wayne and he won a Yankee Candle!!! We both love those candles and wanted to buy one but didn't. Tomorrow we will go pick it up. I hope he gets to choose the scent!

I haven't read any of the post yet. I have a bunch of stuff to do but had to tell you all about this. I will be back to catch up!

(Sounds like I am excited like we won a vacation). ha ha!

Congrats to SIT!! And you! That's awesome!!!

I had to go to Hallmark on my lunch break today, to exchange the "Merry Christmas To All" ornament that I bought on Saturday. The music & Santa's voice sounded kind of distorted. Anyways, all good now!

I have a question for MADE & CAH- do you guys know if the Hallmark stores you guys went to are independently owned? I had never seen or heard of holiday villages at any of the ones I've been to out here, so I asked...and the manager said that all of our stores are corporate out here in Vegas, and the ones you went to were most likely independently owned. I like your selections better, I think! lol

 :%

solice i hope your trip is happy & safe!

mgramsey, glad you had a nice trip.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! The heat has returned. We are headed for a high of 99 degrees later today and we may break 100 tomorrow.

It is the same here! Stay cool!!

Good Morning, Meceka!!!!!!:hi:

:hi:

Have a great day and stay cool!

You, too! Nice to see posting on here, judesmama!

I agree that most of the Hallmark movies are super cheezy and the story lines are a bit silly. Even if I don't like the story I love to just have it on for the beautiful Christmas decorations, snow and the music they play. They tend to go overboard on decorating everything on the set, which I love! I will just have it playing in the background while I do other things. Then when December rolls around I don't watch Hallmark as much. I turn on other channels for the Christmas movies, cartoons and shows I love. Hallmark just keeps me content when the other stations don't show Christmas yet. There are just a few Hallmark movies that I really like.

I want to go too, Caninemom!

I like the Hallmark movies because they usually have a happy ending.
I want to go visit Santa's polar bears, too!

Have a wonderful Day Meceka !!! xo

Hello, Solice - have a safe trip! I wish you a GREAT day and a SUPER week, too! {{{Hugs}}}

If I win the lottery, the first thing I will buy is a van for you!!!

That is so sweet!

You are the best, Made. Always thinking of others. When my daughter is ready, I just might have to introduce you to her. Her husband told her this past week that he wants a divorce. She is devasted, but I told her I knew the nicest guy in the world.

I will keep your daughter in my prayers, Seawaters!

Have a fabulous day!!!!!!

Hi, snowflake! The weather here is hot and humid and dry. I didn't have access to Hallmark, but of the movies listed, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year would be my favorite - love that one! I hope you have a fabulous day, too! {{{hugs}}} for you and Harlowe!

We will be your friend forever and you are not stupid!!! In fact, that might be an interesting tasting cake. You might have come up with a new recipe!

Well said!

I've gotten two zucchini from my garden so far - cooked them today and they were so good! Enjoy your over abundance - there are so many things you can make with them!

I know that the northern states are not enjoying the temps in the 90's but we are LOVING IT here! It has been a very mild summer so far for us. We suffered way too many triple digits and this feels like a "cold" front for us to be in the 90's. I am sure it's hard for the folks up north since that is not the norm.

Enjoy your cold front!

Just back from a week's vacation in St Augustine. I'm a history buff so I really enjoyed the city plus the beach was nice. The only complaint was the heat. I had forgotten what true summer heat is.

Back at work this week then off for a Christian missions trip next week.

SiriusXm radio channel 82 is having their Christmas in July week 7/15-21. It is the old radio shows from the 40's & 50's. Almost all the shows are Christmas related.

Have a safe trip, mgramsey! Thank you for the tip on the Christmas shows!

161 days til x-mas....awesome or what
