Morning! I haven't been around much lately. I plan to watch some HSN today, even though I don't htink they hold a candle to QVC! I still think it'll get me in the spirit a bit. Hard to feel Christmasy in this awful weather, though. I went to the Hallmark Ornament Premiere yesterday, which was nice! The weekend before, we were at the shore and went to my favorite Christmas store. So many ornaments - so overwhelming! (In a good way) Wish I could've browsed longer but I was worrying that one of the boys would break one of the beautiful ornaments, so we bought 2 and scurried out! :)

Have a great day and stay cool!

I agree Judesmama, ! I like QVC a lot better....Nice to see you !! xo

I agree that most of the Hallmark movies are super cheezy and the story lines are a bit silly. Even if I don't like the story I love to just have it on for the beautiful Christmas decorations, snow and the music they play. They tend to go overboard on decorating everything on the set, which I love! I will just have it playing in the background while I do other things. Then when December rolls around I don't watch Hallmark as much. I turn on other channels for the Christmas movies, cartoons and shows I love. Hallmark just keeps me content when the other stations don't show Christmas yet. There are just a few Hallmark movies that I really like. :D

I want to go too, Caninemom!

Absolutely CAH!!!! You HAVE to come along !!!!!! I love all those movies on Hallmark and elsewhere....The sappier the more I love them. !! There is one where the mother comes back from the dead to finish some things she didn't get to and I can hardly watch that one......I start thinking what if ....?? I dont think I could take seeing my mom and having her gone again but it is a touching movie to me anyway !! xo

Just a quick hello!

H E L L O!

We are packing our suitcases...
We are flying to Stockholm (Sweden) for some days.

We were actually thinking of going to Aberdeen (Scotland)
but there is not much to do for our 4 year old there...
(I would love it though)

So I guess we have to take the trip there later...
I almost booked the hotel before I changed my mind.. haha..
Have some trouble making decisions lately..

Wishing you all a GREAT day and SUPER week!

Sending love & hugs cheesy

If I win the lottery, the first thing I will buy is a van for you!!!

I will be so glad to get my own van again...still have not found one, but we will find it!
Maybe I could get my own jet instead? It would only take a min to get to work then!! LOL

Watching Extreme makeover, home edition. Watching them build a new home for a family with sextuplets. The muppets are helping, so cute.

Have a wonderful time, Solice!! :-D

I feel so left out, I can't get into these Hallmark movies, they are too sugary sweet for my liking, and everyone here, my wife and bro in law, are grinches to them in the offseason. :-o The closest Hallmark store to me is also 18 miles away, so I didn't get to see the great ornaments.

I like some of them, but like you said some are just silly. Most of em I just put on but don't really watch. DVRed lots last year and even now in the summer boredom I just fall asleep trying to watch them. I have noticed the ones that were originally a CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame tend to be the much better ones.

I must tell you a true story--it just happened. I have said many times on the Countdown that I do not like or use the "s" (stupid) word. It grates on my nerves. Well, this morning, around 7 a.m. or so, you probably heard me shout it from the roof tops. You see, I got up early to make a "from scratch" cake. I put in the VERY LAST ingredient (the final cup of flour) and something was niggling in my brain. I went to my flour sack (a plastic bag I use to put the flour in when I put it in the freezer). For some reason, I decided to taste the flour. Well, it wasn't flour at all but powdered sugar!!!!! I had to start over and redo the cake. Luckily, I had a brand new bag of flour and enough buttermilk to make another one! I really wanted this cake to turn out because I am taking it out to the pharmacy staff at Wal-Mart. They have been so gracious to us every single time we have a prescription. They go out of their way to get my medicine ready in less than an hour, every single time. So, I went to one of my old Southern Living standbys that I have made over 40 times. But STUPID kicked in before I could even finish. Thank goodness I decided to try the flour (finally) or the pharmacy would have had a "cake" of cooked frosting! Hubby let me blame it on chemo brain. Do you guys still want to be my friend?

Solice,
I think I need a vacation. May I tag along? I could even make a cake!!!

Good Morning, friends!!

It was so hard to get up this Monday morning.

Especially after such a lovely, Christmassy weekend

We have a couple days left of higher 90 degree temps, but by Wednesday we'll be back to the 100's. Must enjoy them!

The humidity & rain really was nice. Probably because that's all I ever knew before I moved to Vegas 10 years ago. It cooled us down! We had some flooding in town yesterday, along w/ hail. I really miss thunderstorms.

How's your weather?

Did a lot of you guys that have access to Hallmark channels, watch their movies over the weekend? What were your favorites?

Well, better get cracking.

Have a fabulous day!!!!!!

:merry:

Of course!!! (That's me baking on a regular day, lol.)
What a thoughtful thing for you to do for them, I'm sure they'll really appreciate it. Sounds so yummy!

We will be your friend forever and you are not stupid!!! In fact, that might be an interesting tasting cake. You might have come up with a new recipe! :D

You are VERY kind to think of those at the pharmacy, especially not feeling well with what you are going through. That should inspire us all to take the time out to thank others for a job that others do daily! I know they will appreciate your kindness very much!

Good Monday morning everyone!

HSN has Christmas stuff! Ill have to put a live feed on when I get home. Bet its not as good as QVC's. Still hot hot hot here. I'm guessing it will be like this until Fall gets here in September. Ugh. Why Mother nature why! lol. Thomas in St Thomas was fun. William took a ride on Thomas around the area too. Ill post pictures a little later (at work right now lol). Hope everyone has a cool Christmasy day!

You are the best, Made. Always thinking of others. When my daughter is ready, I just might have to introduce you to her. Her husband told her this past week that he wants a divorce. She is devasted, but I told her I knew the nicest guy in the world.

I'm sorry to hear this. I'll keep your daughter in my thoughts & prayers, Seawaters.

I got a chance to watch The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (loved Henry Winkler in that one), The night before the Night before Christmas. Then I switched over to TNT and watched Deck the Halls and A Christmas Carol (Patrick Stewart).

We were thinking about making Christmas cookies, but we opted to make Zucchini Bread instead (sine my garden is of abundance with them, these past few weeks, I picked about 50 of them, Yikes....) Afterwards, I jumped on-line a couple of times to do a shout out to everyone on MMC.... 161 Days to Christmas YEA!!!!!!!!
