Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm almost done work! My mom phoned just after 1 to let me know that they arrived in Ottawa OK. Apparently, they also changed their hotel without informing me. The weird part is that they are right across the street from my work. She was excited but a little disappointed when I told her, as we could have went out for lunch if they had arrived before 1 pm. Oh well. As soon as work is over, I will cross the street and see her and her husband. Normally, these next few days would be the only time that I see them until Christmas, however, Kim and I will be heading back home on Labour Day weekend and she will be here in October for Springsteen, too. I'm happy I'll get to see her for a few days per month - with the exception of November - until Christmas!

I haven't been outside since this morning, but it looks a overcast. We could be in for some thunderstorms here tonight. We had a few nice ones last night, too. The grass and everything else could use it! Some of the leaves have been changing quite early due to the minimal rainfall.

Well, I should pack up! I hope everyone has had a wonderful day. Only 97 more days until the Season!

Good evening, Christmas family

I have hit a snag. I love my new job, dicators are pretty good, love typing in the daytime. The only thing is that i am on full QA which means I am limited to 3 reports a day. I was hoping to be at least allowed to type 10 a day by the end of this week but it doesn't look like it. I don't understand it. I have reviewed my work after it was corrected and there is nothing major, just picky little things. Period in the wrong place, comma where there should not be one etc.

The thing is I can't go on typing just 3 reports a day or I will lose my shirt !! I have been so upset tonight. I am praying this gets resolved and SOON.

Anyway, I know somehow something will work out.

'Morning (barely)

I haven't been feeling well these past few days. My throat has been mucusy with a bit of soreness added to it now. Also, this morning I was feeling incredibly sweaty and the only thing that makes me feel better is if I'm under my fan in the living room. :-(

I checked my temperature around 8-ish and it was 97.7 and I'm about to check it again. It's almost lunch time but I have NO appetite at all. :-(

My mom's birthday was a few days ago so there is plenty of cake leftover that I have been eating. I am not much of a cake person, but even I can't pass up a good dessert :] We are about to head out and run a few errands. When I get home I will pop on and catch up on posts. It'll take me a while but I am determined to do so!

By the way, thanks for the sweet replies when I was having a rough time a few days ago - I appreciate it!!! Things seem like they are slowly getting better. Having a good attitude helps! Have a good afternoon at work everyone! I hope that you are well, I have been thinking of you all!

nice and hot again today, so looking forward to cooler temps of fall!

My brother fixed van yesterday and got the check engine light off, now it is on again today! :x At least we know what it is and it does not take long to fix.

I should be cleaning up around here but just do not feel like it. my get up; and go is gone. Have to be at work at 5 and have to go and visit my friend who is in hospital right now.

Took a non drowsy allergy pill and now I want to go to sleep. Does this mean if I took the other kind I would stay awake?

My blood counts are normal, so surgery will be the next step. I will have side effects for a while but those should get better withing 6-8 months and maybe even up to a year. I will soon have an appointment with the radiation person, but surgery first. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and concerns. Still lots to go, but at least it's in a forward direction. I went to work in my classroom on Monday and was totally exhausted. I think I will feel better when I get the infusion, which I will have just before surgery.

Great news! Glad to hear things are in the right direction. Although you still have a road ahead of you, things are looking up. God Bless and still praying everyday!

Good afternoon, MMC! Happy Pines Day! We're one closer to Christmas! How are you all this lovely afternoon? I'm well. Nothing new is going on here. Just relaxing and spending time with my family.

Anyone have anything planned for this evening? Nothing here. I may see if DH and the kids want to go on a walk. Otherwise, maybe we will sit out on our deck. I work tonight, then I am off tomorrow. I work the weekend, as does DH, so we probably won't do anything.

Well, I think I am off to enjoy the Pines for a little bit. I am going to partake in the chocolate chip coffee Undtakr was talking about! It sounds really good! Talk to you guys later and see you at the Pines!

She is not doing very well. Slowly getting weaker. They have started her on chemo pills to try to lessen the pain and hopefully shrink the tumor some. She has ok days and bad days. We hope to make this Christmas season special because it could be her last.
