Good evening,

You ever have one of those mornings when you woke up and you couldn't figure out what day it was? That was my morning in a nutshell. I felt like I was in a fog all day. Day off tomorrow.

What a small world! I worked for several years in Gaithersburg, Maryland---but the addresses right across the road from out building were in Rockville---it was right on the city line. The media lab where we sent Gloria Jean's 1940s test footage to be transferred to DVD was located in Rockville, too. And I grew up in Frederick County, Maryland. What a beautiful place ... hoping to go back home for a visit next spring to finally lay my dad to rest. (Long story short, the current executor found the box with my dad's ashes in his house in Florida in June and shipped them to me; the former executor, who was removed this spring because she embezzled his estate's liquid assets, never even laid my dad to rest after he passed in October 2010. How low can you get??)

Getting ready to turn in. It's been a long day. I knew when I signed on that as an Independent contractor I would be responsible for taking out taxes on my own. I spoke to my tax guy and almost lost my teeth ! I have to take 25% of every paycheck out for the Government. I am kind of down now. I just did not realize it was going to be that much. I just hope I can still make it financially with this job....With that much being taken out and with making less money to begin with at this job I am going to have to do a whole lot more work just to break even....

It is kind of a funny night. It is actually quite hot inside the house but outside it is on the cool side and pleasant. I have been tryng to go without air conditioning but it is not working. I hope the 'bers cools it down !!

Adrian is an Independent Contractor, as well. Our first year was an eye opener! But, once you learn how to plan & prepare for it, it's ok... Even worse, the first executor was his own stepdaughter. But the current executor is now doing things properly, and the estate should finally be settled by the beginning of next year. It took me eight months and the services of a Florida lawyer ($$$$$) to find out why the estate wasn't being properly administered and to remove the embezzler and get a honest executor appointed. Now things are heading in the right direction.

So you had to go through so much. Praying for Mr.'s FIL.

It's been the same way here. We just don't get any air circulation through our apartments. So I've still been running the air conditioning in the evenings and then turning it off and putting the fans in the windows before I go to bed.

Just got back from my first real ride---I was only able to pedal around for about 15 minutes before my legs tired out. I hope to improve on that before the snow flies! I must have been a sight in my helmet whizzing around on a two-toned girl's bike! But I enjoyed it.

Have you ever seem the gloves that he wore on his bleeding hands. he changed them every friday. and ppl have them round the world. there is a fella i no has one and if someone is not well he wood go visit them and put the glove on them.. well guess its more a fingerless one .

Thanks for asking, and thank you so much for your prayers. Mr. tells me that FIL is getting quite frail. He still spends most of his time sitting up in a chair watching the TV as he dozes on and off. Occasionally he's lucid, but then again he can be vague. He DOES recognize the people around him, and even refers to them by family nicknames. It's hard to get him to go to bed and stay in bed during the night. Seems like when he's up, he wants to go to bed, and when he gets into bed, he wants to be up. I know it's wearing down Mr.'s poor mom, and Mr. too, to some extent, because he's there for several hours four or five evenings a week.

SORRY YOU HAD TO GO THROUGH THIS MERRY! I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR MR. & YOUR FIL ALSO.

Good morning my Christmas family!

So, down to the news. No Christmas stuff at walmart. Boo! BUT I found some halloween stuff at homesense. Couldn't get a picture because my hands were full. I DID get a picture of some nice fall hand towels. Mom will be coming down for Thanksgiving dinner, so that is awesome news too! Went out shopping for our friend, they are going to have a baby soon. They are very close to us so it was fun getting them baby stuff. The nights are MUCH cooler now and I am hearing "summer is winding down" commercials on the radio! Yeah! Go away summer! haha. Well time for me to get back to work. Carl is working on camel shaped candy canes for tomorrow. That aught to be interesting! Have a great day everyone!

My advice is just to take the money and put it aside immediately, then you won't miss it as much. A lot of people that I know don't even bother to set it aside and then accidentally spend their tax money and cause themselves a mess later on. I can relate to that kind of night! Last week it was too cool outside at night to have the air conditioning on, but the house was like an oven. It'll be comfortable soon with the fall! :] I hope that things get better for you with work and that you have a great day today!

Good morning! I know! I am disappointed that Walmart doesn't have anything out. I'm expecting in the next couple of weeks they will get started. I recall mid September last year. That is very exciting that your mom is coming down for Thanksgiving dinner! As much as I enjoy summer at times, I'm ready for it to wind down, too. Happy Tuesday, MMC! What does everyone have planned for their day? (aside from work, of course!) Doing anything fun this evening?

I am pretty much ready for summer to be over. I've had enough of the heat and the humidity. I looked at the weather forecast this morning and temperatures in the low 90's are expected for this weekend. I am sick of it!

Today is pretty much a free one for me, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing just yet. I do have a couple of errands that I could run, but I might want to save them for later in the week since I feel a little lazy today. I had so much to get done yesterday that I could use a day to relax.

I have officially seen some Christmas things out around here! In one of the drug stores they have a couple little things out. I would have taken a picture, but I left my phone in the car.

It is really hard dealing with an elderly parent. When I was a teenager, my grandfather died and we moved in with my grandmother to take care of her. She had lots of health issues. She did get on our nerves sometimes, but it was a definite learning experience. Sure, we gave up a lot because someone had to be with Granny 24-7 and Mother received NO HELP from two of her siblings who lived nearby. Whenever we wanted to go to the beach, they were always too busy to stay with Granny. My aunt who lived next door was a doll. She cooked dinner for us EVERY night so that helped immensely. I have to add that she made the best biscuits in the world, which she fixed every night, too. Even though my niece was young, she ultimately decided to become an RN in geriatrics. The experience made me more tolerant, and I really appreciate it now that I am older.

I want to add that they didn't expect Granny to live long, but she survived longer than 10 years. There was no way we would have sent her to a "home."
Also, can you guess who cried the loudest at the funeral? Of course it was my aunt, uncle, and cousins who hardly even visited--and they lived less than five miles away!!!

Thank you ... I've heard of Padre Pio, and I know he'll hear you. FIL has already survived a few months longer than they expected---we think because he's receiving such excellent care at home from his family.
