yes, many times it is the parents, but not always. There are 7 kids in my family and only 1 went off, did drugs, stole a car was on probation for a few years. He is amazing now, has a great family and been in the same job for 30 years now.
We forget that most of the time it is their choice to do what they do. No one is to blame but the person doing it. We need to hold them responsible instead of looking for someone to blame.

Preach it !! I agree... Even parents cannot do it all......!! xo

- Did you have fun during the Christmas in July and Christmas in August on QVC chats? Well Guess what. We can do it all over again in September!!! Plus if you ask nicely, I'll have them throw in a christmas show around the half way mark to hold you over.

I wish it was in the 50's around here right now. I'm about sick of the 90 degree + days, the mosquittoes, cutting the grass, etc...

I'm ready for some serious Fall like weather where you can work outside and not sweat to death, where you can wear a flannel heavy shirt and take it off as needed, to be able to sit outside at night around a bon-fire; drinking a couple cold ones and cooking something over the fire....

OH yea, xmastidings is in some serious need of cooler weather...lol

Good evening, MMC!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day out today ~ I ran errands and went to a bunch of thrift stores and a garage sale. Found a few good things for the store so that makes the trip well worth while.

I bought Bo a bright blue collar ~ he is so proud of it! I must say he looks rather spiffy, too! cheesy

Well, lots of things to do yet tonight, including a few more hours of work.

When I heard Perry Hall, Maryland on the news this morning, I thought of you and your family. I'm glad you all are safe & pray for all involved & affected.

We're taking a long Labor Day weekend to go camping. We'll go to Dollywood & Titanic Museum too. We might go to Gatlinburg or to Sevierville too, depending on what DH wants to do. It's supposed to rain all weekend because of Hurricane Issac. It rained last Labor Day too when we were camping. It gets cozy real quick in a hybrid camper with three people. I'm glad we have cable tv & a dvd player in the camper!

I'm really in Christmas spirit right now & can't do a darn thing about it! Work all day, housework, homework & cheer practices with DD almost every night, & no extra cash to go Christmas shopping. I don't even have time to sit down and watch a Christmas movie. Maybe I need to take those movies on the rainy camping trip!

we can just be excited together whitney. hope you have a wonderful time this weekend. there's a really awesome Christmas shop there too.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I sat at my mom's house for 4 hours yesterday waiting on the Dish Network guys to come install the equipment. They say you have to be available from noon till 5pm. At 6:15pm they finally called to say they were running late, and would arrive at 9:15PM! We told them no, they'll just have to bump someone else and come tomorrow. Now, you know they knew they were going to be that late by mid-afternoon. They could have called us much earlier to tell us so we didn't have to sit there and wait. Grrrr.

On a bright note, my daughter auditioned and got a part in The Nutcracker Ballet that Georgia Southern University puts on every year! She is so happy! Her best friend got a part, too, so they are tickled to death...LOL! I've never seen a Nutcracker, so this will be a good excuse to go. Of course, it also means she has to be in Statesboro for practice every Saturday and Wednesday through half of September, and all of October and November. Oh well, it makes her happy, and that's what counts.

how have you all been this past few days .
The weather here has been rain and some sun but not really warm
Had a nice weekend was really wrecked
And we have out festival yerterday which was very good , but at 7am it was raining and we thought it was gonna be a wash out and at 1pm the rain was beating down but then it dryed up and was a nice afternoon
Was hard work but it was worth it and now in a few weeks we meet to get the christmas one sorted. we decided that we are having a international food market, and a santa, grotto. for the switching on of the town lights so we have a meeting with the local council funding dept to see how much money we can get out of them to help

The first time was for a lady across the street and the second time it was for my nieghbor's daughter. Apperantly she had been throwing up blood all day and not told her dad. She's been in pretty rough shape lately so she really didn't need any other problems. I haven't seen my neighbor this morning so I don't know what they figured out. Hopefully it wasn't real bad.

Read further posts & saw they can't find where she's bleeding from.. I pray they Find where the heck it's coming from.. throwing up blood is never good!

Since I cant get the cookbook mailed to me here in Canada (Border issues), can someone scan in the page with my Grandpas Nuts and Bolts mix for me? I really really want to see what it looks like!

Several posts earlier were devoted to what our world is coming to. I think the inactions of the police in this matter is indicative of that. It really got under my skin, too, Coach. How in the world could a parent allow his or her child do this? What kind of homelife precipated this? Teachers seem to be held liable for a lot, and parents not so much. Just my early-morning rant!

It just.. Is disgusting behavior. I don't even.. like I can't even comprehend, What is going through his head?

JP is "healthy as a horse." he put on 14lbs since December, 7 years old nearly 5 feet tall and 89lbs. as Scott Calvin said "Clydesdale!" cheesy We are large families, I am 6'1, my wife is 5'8, both my grandfathers were over 6ft, my uncle is 6'3, and my brother in law is 6'4. Funny because my father is only 5'8 and my mother was 5'1 and my sister is 5'1. I guess I stole her height.

HOLY TALL! That's like my biological fathers side, Super tall.. And here I sit at 5'1.

HOLY CHICKEN TENDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:???:
It is POURING down rain here.. Honestly, Our summer is over. Once the sun disappears for more then 3 days at the end of august, our town collectively knows it's time to pack in the shorts and Bikinis. In fact, Friday i'm going to look for fall stuff

Today has been a delightful day, Left work early due to me being sick as a dog, But.. also had my one year performance appraisal (month early.. dunno why they do that) & got 4/5 overall.. with a 40cent raise! I was very pleased, my Manager had nothing but good things to say...Made me feel really appreciated!! On that note, I applied to be a department manager in the store, in Health & Beauty & in Crafts and Domestics! I am praying I get either one.. i'm nervous they think I'm too young, but I think if they give me a chance I will Surprise them!! c'mon wally world, have some faith in me!

It was really exciting a couple of years ago but that couple got kicked out after one of them threw a brick through a window.
