We just returned from Redding where the smoke is so heavy from the fires. Many people were wearing those face masks like surgeons wear. I can understand why. My eyes were red, watery, and itchy within minutes of getting out of the car. I did not have a good visit with the plastic surgeon today. I had called him on Monday to renew my prescription for pain meds. I had been taking two Norco 10-325 every 4 to six hours. Before surgery, I was able to hold out for the six hours if I made myself. After surgery, his prescription was made for one 10-325 every 4 to six hours. That did not even get close to the pain, so I just went back to the prescription that worked far better than that. I called on Monday for a refill and he changed the prescription to ONE 5-325 every six hours. Today I told him I was still in tremendous pain (I still had the drainage tubes in and could hardly move without experiencing painful spasms from the many, many stitches. His prescription was a joke. I told him I wanted enough pain meds to get to the point of no pain and then to continue on the lowest dose in order to taper off rather than experience withdrawals. His reason for changing it to the lowest dose possible was that he said I should not really be in any pain. I have stitches and swelling from the middle of the front of my chest to the middle of my right shoulder blade on the right and from the middle of the front of my chest to almost the middle of my left shoulder blade. You would not believe the continuous bruise that is on my right side under my breast, running from the middle front to the middle back. He personally told me he does not believe in radiation, so I am wondering if that has colored his judgment. In addition, I told him I would NOT be completing the reconstruction with implants, that I would just go flat-chested! I came close to asking him to allow me to give him a bilatertal mastectomy and prescribe the minimum amount of pain meds available! Somehow, I don't think that would go over very well. Sorry for my pain-ridden rant!!!

Good luck on the possible promotion
Thanks!!!
Congratulations and Good Luck!!!!!!
Thank you!
You would be AWESOME Britt !! I hope you get one of them - you SO deserve it !! xo

Good evening,

Just enjoying some music before bed, a little bit of everything, Christmas music, The Move, whatever I want to hear right now. Just saw on the news they are expecting temps to drop to the mid-40's tomorrow night. Brrrr before the Bers! Late work night tomorrow, first day of school for JP, busy morning ahead of me to get the boys out on time.

My thoughts are with all of those in the path of Hurricane Isaac, stay safe.

Good night all!
MID 40S!!!!! holy guacamole! did someone say autumn?
FINALLY!!!!! After a 3 year pay raise freeze at work I got a raise today, and a pretty darn good one too!!! More than I expected!!!! They like me they really like me!!!
Congrats, but I have a secret.. they aren't the only ones that like you!
good morning y'all, My MC peeps!

hope y'all feel bright eyed & bushy tailed this a.m.

i'm going into work in a bit, just wanted to stop in for a few.

1 &1/2 weeks into the school year & baby girl (16, but still my baby) is sick already. this happens every year but not usually so early in. for a few days now she's been saying she didn't feel good & was cold all the time. she came home yesterday, in 90 degree heat, & put on a hoody, sweat pants, & slippers saying she was freezing. last night after i went to sleep, hubby told me, she got sick & was throwing up. i tried to get her up this morning but instead i just gave her some meds & put her back to bed. i get off @ 1 today & we may end up @ the dr.'s office.

SOLICE, i hope today finds you better....if not, like cm3 asked- is it possible for you to go to a doctor? get well my friend!

y'all have a good one!
Aw, I hope she feels better soon!
If you could do that for me it would be awesome! Something about trying to ship it here. I think heat miser was trying to stop it or something.
hahaha I will indeed get on that then!

I dropped JP off for his first day of 2nd grade this morning. He was so excited to go.
Here is a picture of him right before we left. LC is destroying things in the background.

AWWWWWWWW He is so cute!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be another hot one here in central Indy with a high of 90 degree's. I've been watching the hurricane coverage all morning and praying for the people south of New Orleans where the levee's have been over-topped. My water has been off all morning so I'm hoping that they get the leak at the front of my apartment complex fixed soon. I have stuff to do but I need water to do them. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
what! 90 degrees!!!!!! yowch. thats a scorcher

And here are a couple of pictures of the changing leaves on our Maple Tree. Notice the moon! Fall's a comin!

Welcome back!
I hope you are better soon, Britt! Good luck on getting the Dept. Manager position! How is London?
Thanks!! She is ... good.. Really pushing my buttons hahhaha but I love her. The little beast is fast asleep right now, thank heavens..mommy needed a break
Well, I learned that hot oil and feet do not go together.
I was taking chicken out of oven and not paying attention to what I was doing. Hot grease spilled from the pan onto my foot. The good part is I had on my crocks, so most of it was deflected. These two spots are where 2 holes in my crocks are.
So glad I had those on! Quickly took them off and plunged my foot in cold water and still got these blisters.
OUCH!! Hope those heal quickly!!
This is so funny, Britt. I just re-read your post and saw that it was a 40 cent raise and I initially read it as a 40 percent raise!!!

hahaha i wish it was 40%..

aweh:( Did he up your dose at all?? You shouldn't have to suffer!!! Did he say why you were still swollen? Is it normal to still be swollen?! Or in pain?? Hope you heal soon my dear friend... His thoughts about radiation shouldn't effect how he handles his practice.

I will keep you in my thoughts.

Good evening,

I am through dealing with the bosses at work, I will just say I have contacted the state about possible law violations. Back there first thing in the a.m. which should be "fun." Looking forward to my weekend off big time now. JP's first day of school went well.

I need some Christmas.

Good night all!

I called loss prevention on my manager at autozone back in the day. He was constantly buying things on his credit cards and then forcing the return through as cash. They didn't tell them who had called but he knew it was between me and the assistant manager of the commercial department. Everyone else was his buddy. For some reason he didn't like us after that.

Seawaters- I'm sorry that you had to deal with all of that. I'm praying that the pain will go away quickly.

hey just getting to the Pines... party still going on....

YABBA!

okkk I AM NOT Scrubbing out the hot tub.... the Mr. Bubble thing is getting old....

YABBA!

Can I vent ? And ask for prayers?

I am going to the doctor tomorrow about a pain in my right leg ... I think it may be because I am all lop sided from carrying Finley on my opposite hip - in fact I had something similar when I lugged Will around ... BUT I am worried its something else... I was reading an article totally unrelated at work .. Talking about children's hospitals ... A d one of those kids had a type of cancer that affects nerve endings ... Anyways one of the songs was an ongoing leg pain

GAH... I can't stop thinking the worse now :(
