Anyone else enjoying PERFECT fall weather today? It's breezy and only 59 degrees at the moment! I am LOVING this!!! Snuggled on the couch with my little guys watching a show.... heaven!

Monday hello ... Woke up to the brisk 50Fs this morning, a brilliant blue sky and bright sunshine. The sky was an amazing shade of blue yesterday afternoon because the storms on Saturday washed all the haze out of the air---it was the kind of blue we don't usually see until October. This particular time of year (and in the spring) the sunshine comes through the skylights and falls across my desk at the office at certain times of the morning. I really enjoy that. I'd really miss it if they decide to change the seating arrangements here! When I see that shaft of sunlight, I know autumn's on the way.

As usual, I'm a little bleary-eyed at this time of morning, but maybe a mug of tea will fix that. Everybody take care, and those of you with fall weather today---enjoy it!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's a beautiful morning here in central Indy where we currently stand at 65 degree's on our way to a high of 74. It looks like the 80's make there return tomorrow but not for long!! Fall is creeping in. I've had a productive and painful morning so far. I managed to get my cleaning done while it was cool out and then I chopped up a bunch of Jalapeno peppers that my cousin brought me. I made the stupid mistake of rubbing my eye while I was doing that though and wow, was that painful. My vision is still a blurry. Well I'm off to get some stuff done. Last week wasn't nearly as productive as I wanted it to be. So this week I am bound and determined to get stuff done. If I can stay off of here, that is. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope your eyes are better! I made the mistake of washing dishes in very hot water after cutting jalapenos ~ my hands tingled for over a day. Have a great day, too, Made!

Hey, we had the same thing as well for dinner last night! I grew the egg plant in my garden; it was a new type that I tried out this year called (Ichiban Japenese Eggplant). It has been, by far, with all the varieties that I have grown, the best tasting eggplant ever. It does not have a tough skin, has hardly none or very little seeds and it has a sweeter taste.... YUM!!!!

I tried growing Japanese eggplant from seed, but they did not take. I will try again next year ~ I love how they tasted, too. Very yummy!!

Good afternoon, MMC!

My lunch is about over and I need to get back to work. I have more items to move upstairs and a few things to organize downstairs yet. Then I get to work on store stock and if anything was sent to me, a few hours of work online. I love busy days!

Oh, Snowflake! You did find some wonderful things. If I had known that, I would have sent the $ for you to get two of everything and send it back to me! WOW, girl, how lucky can you get? Totally love the pic of Harlowe in the witch's hat. And I loved the wine coasters, and the spider web wall hanging, and the jackets, and the...just EVERYTHING!!!

Thanks, Seawaters! Harlowe's witch's hat is the only thing she'll tolerate @ Halloween. I tried a costume, but it drove her bonkers =)

The wall hanging is one my Mom made for me a few years back, and it has another spooky design on the other side. But, I usually display the side you saw because she wrote a little note on the bottom, and that always makes me smile! It's become a tradition of hers.

Does the Harvest Festival come to your area ? I know they go all over CA & AZ, but not sure the cities. You want to buy everything you see, practically!
And the food is out of this world!

Thanks, merry! I am surprised that I'm going to miss Vegas, but I will, at least a little bit. It really has been fun! We've experienced a lot here. At made some lifelong friends. But, home is where the heart is! :smile:

She is being very good right now, but I am moving furniture and bags of books all around and I don't need her under foot. She will get into everything if I let her. Yesterday, we had lunch at mom's, then we all we went to my cousin's house. He and his wife live out in the shure sure-enough woods, and they have a really nice home. We took Lulu, and she swam in their pond and got so muddy we had to borrow some shampoo and wash her before I'd let her get back in my truck.

Ok, I had to share this with everyone... I had just happened to be at Lowes this weekend (that's another story in itself) and behold, I walked back into there overflow stock area and caught the employees stocking the back shelves with these....

Ok, and now my other story from this weekend... So, here I am, standing at the kitchen sink in my house and I decided to help the Mrs, and wash the dishes since she did the cooking. Well, as I am washing the big pots, I have the sink faucet on and the garbage disposal running when all of a sudden I feel water on the top of my feet. I look down, thought to myself, hmmmm... I must have spilled some water.

I turn everything off, wiped up the water and started washing dishes again. I turned the faucet on, nothing... So I then drained the water and turned the garbage disposal on again, and then soon I feel water hitting my feet again. I stop look around, scratch my head, ok now where is this water coming from? I look all over the counter and find nothing... So, I started again to try to finish washing those dishes, this time I'm looking all over the place, my feet, the sink, and again nothing?????

I'm like ok, is someone play a joke on me... I finished the dishes, pulled the sink drain plug and turned on the garbage disposal again and there it was, water on the top of my feet again, I quickly opened up the base cabinet door and the behold, I found it... on the side of the garbage disposal was a pin hole leak. It was just small enough that when you just ran the water, nothing would happen, but as soon as you turned the garbage disposal on, it was squirting you...

I was lucky that the leak was in the front and not the back because I would have never discovered it untill something got ruined...So, off to Lowes I went and had to buy a brand new garbage disposal this weekend, needless to say, I had to dismantle half of the plumbing inside the base cabinet to do so, but, a half a day later, it was done...

In the end, all's well that ends well!!!! I kind of got a little chuckle out of that scene...

what´s up everyone....all fine over here....just had some sandwiches with Kandice and now we are chilling on the sofa watching Home Improvement.......Tim Taylor, Jill and their boys just never get old for me....and Kandice loves it, too!!!!...I loooooooooove me those Christmas episodes where he always competes for best house illumination with Doc Johnson....too friggin cool

From the sounds of it, it appears that the site is going down for a little while tomorrow in order to try to fix that problem that has been going on in the mornings ( FYI, it was doing it again today as well).

Between now and about mid-October (or until the decroations become evident), I find myself heading to the back/overstock of every department store instantly. If I'm lucky, I can't help but have a big smile beaming on my face. Great find. I'm sure it was a wonderful experience to see that already!
