Christmas Countdown - 2012

Hi MMC, hope you are all well, just sitting here watching some Monday Night football. I cannot believe we are 10 days into Sept, we have a big day tomorrow. Also getting ready for vacation, oh boy I cannot wait.

I was thinking of doing something very different this year I have been toying with the idea of making only a main pasta dish for Christmas dinner, do a three day meat sauce, maybe home made stuffed shells, not sure but I really would like to do a little different flare this year.

Monday is over! long day.. Bad day actually...but I am so glad I can come here and get cheered up!!!! Hope everyone is having a good monday...it's been a beautiful day,although the lovebug infestation is still going on here in south ga...just a few more days and they will be gone!!!

And we are laughing right along with you, even though that is not a fun job!

Ok, and now my other story from this weekend... So, here I am, standing at the kitchen sink in my house and I decided to help the Mrs, and wash the dishes since she did the cooking. Well, as I am washing the big pots, I have the sink faucet on and the garbage disposal running when all of a sudden I feel water on the top of my feet. I look down, thought to myself, hmmmm... I must have spilled some water.

I turn everything off, wiped up the water and started washing dishes again. I turned the faucet on, nothing... So I then drained the water and turned the garbage disposal on again, and then soon I feel water hitting my feet again. I stop look around, scratch my head, ok now where is this water coming from? I look all over the counter and find nothing... So, I started again to try to finish washing those dishes, this time I'm looking all over the place, my feet, the sink, and again nothing?????

I'm like ok, is someone play a joke on me... I finished the dishes, pulled the sink drain plug and turned on the garbage disposal again and there it was, water on the top of my feet again, I quickly opened up the base cabinet door and the behold, I found it... on the side of the garbage disposal was a pin hole leak. It was just small enough that when you just ran the water, nothing would happen, but as soon as you turned the garbage disposal on, it was squirting you...

I was lucky that the leak was in the front and not the back because I would have never discovered it untill something got ruined...So, off to Lowes I went and had to buy a brand new garbage disposal this weekend, needless to say, I had to dismantle half of the plumbing inside the base cabinet to do so, but, a half a day later, it was done...

In the end, all's well that ends well!!!! I kind of got a little chuckle out of that scene...

Good evening! Sorry I haven't been replying to posts, but I have just been soooo busy, getting stuff prepared to go camping at this week and for Elexis's birthday party this weekend.

Hope everyone is well - I was off today and got a lot done. I have a lot more things to get done tomorrow - DH is on vacation, so him and I will work on things together - EA will be at preschool and DS will be at daycare. It should be a productive day.

I Googled it and found it immediately! It will be in Sacramento November 16-18. I am going to make every effort to be there. I hope they still have Halloween stuff! Thanks for letting us know about this!

Thanks, Seawaters! Harlowe's witch's hat is the only thing she'll tolerate @ Halloween. I tried a costume, but it drove her bonkers =)

The wall hanging is one my Mom made for me a few years back, and it has another spooky design on the other side. But, I usually display the side you saw because she wrote a little note on the bottom, and that always makes me smile! It's become a tradition of hers.

Does the Harvest Festival come to your area ? I know they go all over CA & AZ, but not sure the cities. You want to buy everything you see, practically!
And the food is out of this world!

Just got done watching the Bengals lay a stinker versus Baltimore, the first half was good but the second half looked like the Bungles were back. Long day at work, I spent over 4 hours repricing and re-stickering product since the Commonwealth of Massachusetts law is the only one in the country that requires price stickers on all product. (until January 1st) Day off tomorrow, not much except doing laundry planned, I may take a run over to Kmart and see what they have for Halloween decor.

Sorry, Xmas...I know what it's like when your team stinks it up on opening night....Cowboys have done that past few years. But Lewis is a good coach, at least that's what I think. He will straighten it out.

Talk about a long day. My wife woke me up last night at 1:00 am and I couldn't go back to sleep. I jumped on the couch and eventually dozed back off around 4:00, only to have my alarm go off at 5:00. So, I'm pretty tired. We are about to head to bed, but I'm watching a little football before I fall asleep. Shouldn't take long....

Well I took my tablet back to HH Gregg and got my money back. When I walked up to the customer service desk the manager looked in the bag and automatically said "I'll give you your money back" before I even said anything. So I'm guessing that I'm not the first person to have problems with the Kyros's.
Then when I got home I went on amazon and pre ordered a kindle fire hd. I'll probably kick myself later for spending the extra money on it but hey I don't really buy myself anything.

Hope you have better look with the kindle and made you derserve it . dont feel guilty about speading a few pound on yourself
