Frost early this morning.

Temperatures are forecast to fall to around zero early this morning with fairly widespread ground frost expected.

these places are about the same distance north as Ottawa.
At least a 9 hour drive from where I am, so it will be awhile before it gets here, just thought I would let you all know it is on the way!​

Ok, and now my other story from this weekend... So, here I am, standing at the kitchen sink in my house and I decided to help the Mrs, and wash the dishes since she did the cooking. Well, as I am washing the big pots, I have the sink faucet on and the garbage disposal running when all of a sudden I feel water on the top of my feet. I look down, thought to myself, hmmmm... I must have spilled some water.

I turn everything off, wiped up the water and started washing dishes again. I turned the faucet on, nothing... So I then drained the water and turned the garbage disposal on again, and then soon I feel water hitting my feet again. I stop look around, scratch my head, ok now where is this water coming from? I look all over the counter and find nothing... So, I started again to try to finish washing those dishes, this time I'm looking all over the place, my feet, the sink, and again nothing?????

I'm like ok, is someone play a joke on me... I finished the dishes, pulled the sink drain plug and turned on the garbage disposal again and there it was, water on the top of my feet again, I quickly opened up the base cabinet door and the behold, I found it... on the side of the garbage disposal was a pin hole leak. It was just small enough that when you just ran the water, nothing would happen, but as soon as you turned the garbage disposal on, it was squirting you...

I was lucky that the leak was in the front and not the back because I would have never discovered it untill something got ruined...So, off to Lowes I went and had to buy a brand new garbage disposal this weekend, needless to say, I had to dismantle half of the plumbing inside the base cabinet to do so, but, a half a day later, it was done...

In the end, all's well that ends well!!!! I kind of got a little chuckle out of that scene...

Sheesh! What a pain. We had the same thing happen to us. But it was leaking down under the sink down into the wall in the basement. What a mess. Glad you caught it early!

Good Morning MMC!!!! We start warming back up today with a high of 82 predicted. Boo. I was enjoying the low 70's. My plan for today is to lock my door so my neighbor can't keep coming over and bugging me like he did yesterday. Then I'm going to get back on cleaning out my closets and cabinets. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I took my tablet back to HH Gregg and got my money back. When I walked up to the customer service desk the manager looked in the bag and automatically said "I'll give you your money back" before I even said anything. So I'm guessing that I'm not the first person to have problems with the Kyros's.

Then when I got home I went on amazon and pre ordered a kindle fire hd. I'll probably kick myself later for spending the extra money on it but hey I don't really buy myself anything.

Hi MMC, hope you are all well, just sitting here watching some Monday Night football. I cannot believe we are 10 days into Sept, we have a big day tomorrow. Also getting ready for vacation, oh boy I cannot wait.

I was thinking of doing something very different this year I have been toying with the idea of making only a main pasta dish for Christmas dinner, do a three day meat sauce, maybe home made stuffed shells, not sure but I really would like to do a little different flare this year.

Just had to post this, Called into my supermarket on the way home from work last night and they had their christmas choccies, advent calender and xmas cards on display!! I could have danced on the spot with excitment hehe!!!

good a.m. y'all! this morning it's about 63. not quite as cool yesterday a.m. but it's alot better than the 80's.

when i went out this morning to take daughter to school my car sounded funny when i started it, like it was gonna stall. we made it to school & when i got home i cut it off & tried to start it again...nothing. well it would turn over & quickly made a funny sound & then nothing.ugh!

gonna try to be productive today...talk to y'all later! have a good one!

I failed to check the temperature prior to leaving for work this morning. I can tell you that a lot of people were wearing fall jackets, however, I was very comfortable wearing a t-shirt and pants walking to the bus stop. It was probably about 7c. Perfect for a mid-September morning.

Good morning everyone!

It's another cool, crisp mid-September morning in Ottawa. We're currently at 10c (52f) in Canada's Capital. Temperatures should reach the mid-20s/lower 70s today. Not bad! Aside from the gym, yesterday was a quiet evening. Kim and our roommate Mike both were at concerts. Kim went to see Madonna. She arrived home at about 1 AM from the show. I was sleeping and not in the mood to talk much. She'll tell me today! Mike came home real early from seeing Bon Iver. He wasn't impressed.

The gym yesterday was a little fun. I still haven't defeated this patellar tendonitis, however. It's still causing problems. I had hoped it would be done by now (I've had six weeks off), however, it may be another six weeks until I can do anything. I honestly have no idea. We'll see what the physio says on Thursday.

Well, I really should get back to work. I'll drop in when I have some time later. Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

As was mentioned several times up-thread, it's 9/11 again. Hard to believe it's been 11 years. May God bless all of those who have been affected by terrorism on that day, and beyond.

We had a council meeting last night, and it only lasted 20 minutes...my kind of meeting! Things have been going well for our city lately. I've been working to improve relations with the county officials. The last mayor seemed to delight in antagonizing the county, but I can't find a reason to continue that line of thinking. They seem to be genuinely relieved that the admin meetings aren't degrading into arguments, and it's paying off with additional funds and road work crews in Bellville. I believe if our city works together with the county, we can get things done that benefit the citizens of Bellville. We're all county residents, anyway!

Ah, well. Enough small town politics. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
