I received this link in one of my "crafty" emails. Some of you might like it, especially if you crochet. It's a Halloweeny "Nightmare Square."

Cool---looks kinda spider-webby! Funny how color will change something. If you made that in pastels, it would look soft and sweet. Make it in black and orange, and it looks menacing!

All of this talk about drinking pickle juice has me getting

Then we went to the grocery store, and LC was acting up a little, and what to my wandering eyes should appear. An older gentleman who looked exactly like Santa Claus, he even was wearing red shorts with a white shirt, I told LC that it was Santa and you should have seen his face. It was priceless!!! He watched him walk around the corner and tried to peek at him. He did ask me where was Mrs. Claus was, I told him Santa likes to shop by himself sometimes to see how kids behave in stores. The gentleman must get that all the time, he looked so much like the Sundblom, Coca-Cola paintings.

He was at the Walmart on the east side of Indianapolis tonight. He was driving a red pt cruiser with Santa on the side of it and Santa license plates. He had red pants on tonight though, when he got out of the car.

WooHoo!!! My kindle fire hd has been shipped. It's actually sitting over at the fedex hub at the airport in Indianapolis. I wonder if they would let me pick it up? Probably not. Even though it's this close, it's going to be delivered to the post office and then the post office will do the final delivery. So I probably won't see it until Monday.

Had the day off today, took a vacation day. Had a nice day with CAH and her dad at the Cavanaugh Air Museum, then spent the day just chilling with my sweetie. Actually felt like fall today, I don't know what the high was, but it was darn near cool enough for a light jacket. It was a good day!cheesy

Good evening, Christmas family !!

I got my copy of Christmas Ideals today !! I wasn't expecting it for a month or so but Amazon got it in early and sent it !! It is so pretty this year....Really makes Christmas seem right around the corner, which it is !!

I also orderd a new Holy Family for my nativity. I still love the "old" Holy Family I have but with the new one, Mother Mary can hold the baby Jesus in her arms !! I thought it was so sweet when I saw it I had to have it !! I also ordered Christmas cards for this year ........It really IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas !!! xo

Thank you! I appreciate that. It could be an emotional day tomorrow. We had supper at my parents tonight & my sister was saying that the only thing she keeps thinking is "someone is missing" He would LOVE this!!!

Stopped in our local Walmart and out in the lawn and garden section they have Christmas Trees for sale and some lights and decorations on the selves too. :dance: not much longer now!!!

Happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!

What are your plans for the weekend?

We are going to take it easy. Grill a few times, watch some movies, and do some yardwork.

I think I am going to sign up for some online classes, too.
I only have one week of work left at my job, and I want to stay busy after that. When I'm not busy preparing for the move, I'll put some hours in on the computer.

I'm starting to get a little worried @ finding a rental house in Wisconsin. There's not nearly as many options as there is out here.. In fact, a lot of houses in Vegas are owned by investors in this market. In the town we're moving to, there's mostly houses & apt.'s near campus, and they're not what we're looking for at this point of our lives! lol. I guess all I can do is wish for the best..and pray that we can find something comparable to what we have now, closer to our price range, and last but not least: a fenced in yard for Harlowe!

It's been so nice in the mornings!! I open the patio door & let the cooler air in the house while I have my coffee. Although, we're still hitting triple digits in the afternoon. I give it 2 weeks, and then we should be done w/ those. And I won't be around for another Vegas summer...phew!

Good luck with your house hunting! I hope you can find just what you are looking for. How exciting! What part of Wisconsin are you moving too? Am I thinking right that you are moving after the 1st of the year or is it sooner than that?

((((Holiday and Buster)))) - I understand exactly where you are. It is so hard to know how to call it when an old one is sick. I am with you, I cannot imagine taking his eye out....Poor baby. I wish I could help the poor baby. When my Wish first got sick, they diagnosed him as having a brain tumor. Now, I am NOT a doctor but I could not accept that it was a brain tumor. My "gut" feeling kept telling me it was not a tumor. For one thing, he would have these "attacks" where he was all wobly and eventually he would come out of it but he NEVER lost consciousness or acted like he didn't know us. That is what made me suspicious about it not being a tumor. I talked to the senior vet at the practice and he said it sounded like a heart problem. Lo and behold after an EKG, there was a subtle abnormality in Wish's QT segment. He was started on medication for his heart and except for an attack of congestive failure 3 months ago, he has been fine. I will pray for Buster AND if it is okay, I am adding him to the furbaby (((HUGS))) that I post xo Sorry this was so long xo

Thanks CM3! It is tough. I keep hoping the drops & meds will help! Time will tell....so thanks for the prayers, keep um coming! He seems so happy & normal despite whatever is going on with his eye! It would be great if you want to add Buster to your furbaby (((HUGS))) :smile: I'm glad to hear you had enough common sense & knowledge to not take the 1st doctors diagnosis & you followed your gut instinct. They don't know it all! I'm also glad Wish is doing so well after finding out the real reason for his attacks! I'll keep hoping & praying that continues!

Home from work and just unwinding. Very busy night, we sold out of bread by 10pm but do not close until 11pm. Fortunately only one person came by during that hour!
My hands smell like onions now.

Good evening/ night and or morning to all my MMC friends!

Wow, It took me over an hour, to try and get caught up with all the posts since Thrusday morning. I got to work Thursday morning and my boss informed me that we need to get started on a real dirty job and that we had to jump on it, asap; (in the Engineering world, "dirty job", means that we do not have any existing drawings, the building is old, and that we need to go out to the building and physically verify and locate every pipe, duct, and all the electrical and lighting...I call it the CSI of Engineering)! I got there at 10:00 at the building and I didn't leave the pace untill 9:00 the following morning - worked completely all day,night and into the following morning. A 25 hour work day...That's a triple plus...

Needless to say, after I drove home, took a well needed and deserved shower, I can't even remember falling asleep... So, as a result, now my body/ time clock is all screwed up and here I am getting all caught with with the latest and greatest.

I don't mind so much working those kind of hours, (Hmmm, lets see, time and a half times 25 hours.... Think I'll take the Mrs out and treat her to something nice! But I'll tell you this, going up and down on a ladder like that all day and night; whewww, my legs feel whipped.

Well, I hope everyone has a nice quiet and relaxing weekend, me, I'm back off to work tomorrow, to get me some more of that overtime....

Hey gang! Just getting home from a roadtrip that didn't go our way! However, everyone finished the game healthy, our boys learned a lesson about competition, and everyone made it home safely. That qualifies as a good night in my book.

Man, have I got some catching up to do. I don't think that I have got to read everything since Wednesday. Duty had me busy the past two days...but oh friends....the next two days are going to be glorious. I can't wait to share them with you.

Heck, I might hang around tomorrow night to ring in 100 days to Christmas? Anybody else wanna join me?

100 days....just think....100 days from right now, we will be getting ready for Christmas Eve....Darlene Love will have performed a couple of night before....it's going to be a blast....
