Tonight I come with good news - my uncle's dog survived the surgery and the cancer tumor was removed! There are only two concerns now: to make sure that his internal bleeding was indeed from the tumor and that he stops bleeding now, and because his liver was slightly enlarged. They took a biopsy from his liver so we will know soon enough.
Thank you all for your prayers and your kindness :] Everyone didn't think that he would make it through the surgery and everyone told my uncle not to "waste his money" on it.
Now if I can get rid of this low-grade fever that I have, my night will be even better!
Have a great night everyone!!!
Oh, Jennifer! That is fabulous news!! So happy for you all! Hugs to the sweet, brave pup. xo
Good evening,
Loooonnngg day today, worked all day then we went out to dinner and to Kmart to buy some fall/winter school clothes for JP. Also to look at the Halloween decorations and costumes for the boys. They both want to be ninjas this year.
Then we went to the grocery store, and LC was acting up a little, and what to my wandering eyes should appear. An older gentleman who looked exactly like Santa Claus, he even was wearing red shorts with a white shirt, I told LC that it was Santa and you should have seen his face. It was priceless!!! He watched him walk around the corner and tried to peek at him. He did ask me where was Mrs. Claus was, I told him Santa likes to shop by himself sometimes to see how kids behave in stores. The gentleman must get that all the time, he looked so much like the Sundblom, Coca-Cola paintings.
I am getting ready to sleep, Ophelia & Alex are cuddled down by my feet.
Good night everyone!
That is a great story, xmas! I would've loved to see LC's face. I bet he was on his best behavior after that!
So am I Snowflake. I am having white wine in my CHRISTMAS wine glass!!!
That sounds wonderful! Wish I could've joined you! =)
I have been back from school about an hour. Back to School was a success. I have not been this tired since just before school started. I don't think I can physically handle many days this long. Hubby is out of town for a dinner and meeting in Red Bluff. I couldn't go because of Back to School. Tomorrow morning I have to go to the doctor. My pain is not subsiding all that much, so I want to make sure everything is okay. TTYL
Thinking of you, hope all goes well at the doctor's today. xo
Oh man! I thought about a glass of wine tonight, but I didn't have one open & didn't feel like opening one! I should have gone for a wine in my Christmas glass! What was I thinking!?
Well, the good news is my brother/sil made it home safe & sound. They BUZZED over the top of Mom & Dads house...my sisters & I were there sitting on the deck, hammering out final details for my brothers memorial bike ride Saturday when he flew over...I thought my 1 sis was going to have the big one! She thinks she could have reached up & grabbed his plane! Lol! It was LOUD! He got yelled at when he arrived! And he'll do it again the next time!
As for my Buster - well the doc thinks his lens fell & he is developing glaucoma. She feels eventually his eye will have to come out. She says we can try medicine/drops 1st & see how it does but she feels eventually it will get too painful for him. Right now it doesn't seem to bother him at all. OR she said we can go to another vet to get a pressure test done (they don't have the ability to do that at my vet office) & they will maybe know where to go from there. But she feels his pressure is low now b/c it doesn't bother him. BUT if it does start to bother him, they can do another pressure test & be able to see how much it has progressed. OR I can go to an opthamologist. She said they might have a more specific treatment, rather than general meds. One is an hour away, another is 2 hours away. EEK! How far do you go?? He's 16 years old!!! I can't imagine taking out his eye at 16...seems like a lot for a dog his age to go through. Ugh! I hate it. He is on an antibiotic & a steroid right now. I keep looking at him hoping it will just go away! I know better, but.... I just hate it!!! What a week it's been!!!!
I'm heading to bed shortly, so I'll say good night! Sweet dreams!!!
Thinking of you & Buster, Holiday. I will keep you both in my prayers. xo
this is wonderful news jennifer91! i was just asking the other day about them. now you have to get well. i certainly hope it goes & stays away. take care sweety!
