That is the best news I have heard in a long time! Animals are definately worth it!!! How wonderful for your uncle. Praying for you, too!

Tonight I come with good news - my uncle's dog survived the surgery and the cancer tumor was removed! There are only two concerns now: to make sure that his internal bleeding was indeed from the tumor and that he stops bleeding now, and because his liver was slightly enlarged. They took a biopsy from his liver so we will know soon enough.

Thank you all for your prayers and your kindness :] Everyone didn't think that he would make it through the surgery and everyone told my uncle not to "waste his money" on it.

Now if I can get rid of this low-grade fever that I have, my night will be even better!

Have a great night everyone!!!

You are right; that sounds priceless!

Good evening,

Loooonnngg day today, worked all day then we went out to dinner and to Kmart to buy some fall/winter school clothes for JP. Also to look at the Halloween decorations and costumes for the boys. They both want to be ninjas this year.

Then we went to the grocery store, and LC was acting up a little, and what to my wandering eyes should appear. An older gentleman who looked exactly like Santa Claus, he even was wearing red shorts with a white shirt, I told LC that it was Santa and you should have seen his face. It was priceless!!! He watched him walk around the corner and tried to peek at him. He did ask me where was Mrs. Claus was, I told him Santa likes to shop by himself sometimes to see how kids behave in stores. The gentleman must get that all the time, he looked so much like the Sundblom, Coca-Cola paintings.

I am getting ready to sleep, Ophelia & Alex are cuddled down by my feet.

Good night everyone!

I have been back from school about an hour. Back to School was a success. I have not been this tired since just before school started. I don't think I can physically handle many days this long. Hubby is out of town for a dinner and meeting in Red Bluff. I couldn't go because of Back to School. Tomorrow morning I have to go to the doctor. My pain is not subsiding all that much, so I want to make sure everything is okay. TTYL

So am I Snowflake. I am having white wine in my CHRISTMAS wine glass!!!

Oh man! I thought about a glass of wine tonight, but I didn't have one open & didn't feel like opening one! I should have gone for a wine in my Christmas glass! What was I thinking!?

Well, the good news is my brother/sil made it home safe & sound. They BUZZED over the top of Mom & Dads house...my sisters & I were there sitting on the deck, hammering out final details for my brothers memorial bike ride Saturday when he flew over...I thought my 1 sis was going to have the big one! She thinks she could have reached up & grabbed his plane! Lol! It was LOUD! He got yelled at when he arrived! ;-) And he'll do it again the next time!

As for my Buster - well the doc thinks his lens fell & he is developing glaucoma. She feels eventually his eye will have to come out. She says we can try medicine/drops 1st & see how it does but she feels eventually it will get too painful for him. Right now it doesn't seem to bother him at all. OR she said we can go to another vet to get a pressure test done (they don't have the ability to do that at my vet office) & they will maybe know where to go from there. But she feels his pressure is low now b/c it doesn't bother him. BUT if it does start to bother him, they can do another pressure test & be able to see how much it has progressed. OR I can go to an opthamologist. She said they might have a more specific treatment, rather than general meds. One is an hour away, another is 2 hours away. EEK! How far do you go?? He's 16 years old!!! I can't imagine taking out his eye at 16...seems like a lot for a dog his age to go through. Ugh! I hate it. He is on an antibiotic & a steroid right now. I keep looking at him hoping it will just go away! I know better, but.... I just hate it!!! What a week it's been!!!!

I'm heading to bed shortly, so I'll say good night! Sweet dreams!!!

Good Morning, Eve-of-the Weekenders!

Incredibly, we are once again at this point -- teetering on the edge of another end-of-the-week respite.

What else are we teetering on the edge of?
Why the edge of the ledge.
The window ledge.
The 100-day Christmas Day Window, that is:
Days to the Season: 60 (Under 2 months away, now!)
Days to Christmas Day: 102 (Day after tomorrow the Window opens!)
Wow-wee, Guys!

And still our great weather persists.
How long can it last?
As long as possible, I hope!
I read 64 degrees here at this hour.

May a Fully Fabulous Friday be yours, Fantastic Friends.
And may your Weekend kick off Wonderously this afternoon as well!

Good morning everyone!

It's a beautiful morning in Ottawa. Temperatures are 17c with overcast, which made for a comfortable walk to work. I think I'll be a little tired all day today. I was up late watching the Packers defeat the Bears, and then I couldn't fall asleep. Their defence played real well... just need the offence to return to the form of last season. But, a win is a win! The fact that they don't play this weekend works out perfectly, as Kim and I will be in Cornwall for her sister's wedding, which takes place tomorrow.

September 14th. We're already under two months to the Christmas Season. And, best of all, the Christmas Blossoms thread may be up and running in 10 days. In the past few years the threads have debuted on the following days: September 28, 2008; September 28, 2009; September 25, 2010; and the earliest was last year on September 24, 2011. And, as I have mentioned a few times throughout the past couple months, I am very excited to see some of Crown's snapshots from A Christmas To Remember. The thread - along with the countdown, of course - makes the days pass so much faster... Plus, it's great to see everyone become one with the Christmas Spirit.

Well, I really should get back to work. I haven't done much yet and I have been here for an hour! Have a great Friday, everyone! The weekend is nearly upon us. Enjoy it. After all, it is the official last weekend of "summer." Fall officially begins next Saturday, September 22nd!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day. Well once the rain moves out it will be beautiful. We are looking at a high of 70 today and the warmest day in the 7 day forecast is 74!!!!!!!!!!! Fall has arrived!!! It's going to be another busy day here. I have a few errands to run and then I'm going to do some work on a friends car. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning my MMC Friends!!!! :hi:

Well, my brothers memorial bike ride is tomorrow! Ready or not, here it comes!!! I finally finished icing all the cookies this morning before work! I still need to make pumpkin muffins for the event. Tomorrow night there is a music fest in the park accross the road from our house, so my family (and some friends) is coming over. My BIL is making ribs & I am making soup....which I have some of the veggies already chopped, corn cut off the cob....today I need to put it all together in the crock pot! Since my brother/sil are here, it's hard to "work"...we just want to hang out! But I'll git 'r done. My hubby has the day off work today, & I get off work at noon, so we have a little extra time to get the house ready & bake...hopefully!!!

Busters eye is maybe not quite as red this morning. It's hard to tell, he doesn't like anybody "messing" with him! He was happy, ready to go outside, begging for food this morning. I think I'll call the vet & tell them to call in his prescription & we'll see where it goes from there. If it starts to bother him, we can do the pressure test & decide if we should remove the eye at that time. Ugh...i hate this! :(

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! Make it a great day!!!

This is such a great place ... even after proofreading with hardly a break all day, once I get home I still want to check in and read all your news!

Multitasking at the same time, but making catching up with your posts one of the "tasks" helps.

I agree, Merry!

That is great news, jennifer ~ I will keep praying for him. I hope your fever is gone today!
