Hey everyone! Good day....until the end.

Great day at work, good event at school. Real busy. Good times, though.

Childhood bestfriend's dad had a massive stroke. It doesnt' look too good. I try during these times to not look at the bad and that he may soon be taken from us, but rather I try to focus on why he was here....

Husband, father, grandfathers, Christian, friend, youth volunteer, business owner...and not too bad a golfer.

Add all those up=blessed life.

Hello all, I was heading out the door this morning to go to work and I spotted my first Wolly Bear Caterpillar of the year, crawling across the front porch and it was all black; no brown at all...

Does this mean we will have a real winter this year with some SNOW???? I would really like to see a White Christmas this year. Come to speak of it, I can't even remember the last time, it actually snowed on Christmas Eve/ Day!

Me either!!! Every Christmas Eve/Christmas, I hope and hope and hope that it will snow or that I will wake up to a white Christmas. But NOPE - it has been in the 50s! I hope we both get some snow!!

my back is still horribly sore....taking pain killers and rest it a bit...but the doc said I also need to be moving....so I am resting....then up again to walk around a bit....then resting again....horrible

I gave in at lunch & turned the furnace on - just for a bit, to take the chill out of the air! Our house just felt so chilly!!!! I know...I'm a wimp! :cold: I love the smell of the 1st time the furnace is turned on for the year. :grin:

My sil is having surgery tomorrow morning at 11:00 - a mastectomy - so any prayers would be appreciated. I sure hope & pray it all goes well! She will be going through radiation, 5 days a week for 6 weeks after the surgery. Scary stuff!

Praying for her. Keep us updated on her progress and how everything goes.

Good afternoon and Happy Pines Day! How is everyone? I am well! Enjoying my day off and waiting for DH and the kids to get home. I ended up working late today - I had to stay until 8:30, which wasn't too bad. I was originally told I had to stay until 11:00, then I was able to leave at 8:30. I didn't mind staying as much, since it was my day off.

What is everyone up to tonight? I am not sure what all we will do. I am thinking something warm and comforting for dinner. It is supposed to get chilly here tonight! I have a cup of apple cider and coffee since getting up. Maybe we will watch a movie tonight as well. We do have to work on some of EA's projects for preschool.

Well, I am off to read some more of the posts. Hope all is well with everyone. God Bless! I will stop by the Pines later!

hey y'all! my sissy-poo called me about 15 minutes ago. she's actually on her way home, it was done as out-patient. she's feeling ok & they were able to do the less invasive procedure.

i'm about to head out to powderpuff practice for daughter. she gets done in just a bit.

Our weatherman said we should have a mild one this year according to the one's in his yard.

Good evening, MMC! I am just unwinding on this chilly evening with a mug of hot apple cider :] It's delicious and so appropriate with this weather. It's going to be in the upper 30s tonight, so cold! It's too windy and cool out to even walk tonight, so I am just going to relax and watch some TV. The new season of Survivor starts tonight, at least it is something to watch!

Did anyone check out that show on NBC called Revolution? I think it was on Monday night - I really liked it!
