After work I finished watching The Family Stone - Loved it!!! It's definately a "watch again" movie! So festive & fun!! :grin: I made some fresh salsa this afternoon. YUM! It's a HOT batch! :rudolph: Now I am working on making/canning Tomato Bouillion. I have never made this before (recipe is from a friend) so I'll see how it turns out. I love new recipes!!! :hello: Hope you are all having a great afternoon!!!

It's FRIDAY! Yay! .....
So, what happends here?

Any fun planned this weekend?

We are off to a 40th' Birthday Party tomorrow night.
And spending the night at a new hotell in the City, just the two of us...
That would be fun - I hope..
If I don't keep all the hotel guest up all night with my coughing..:-?

Im making my favorite dinner tonight. .. = Tapas
(Shrimp with Garlic and Chili, tapas-potatoes, new baked bread and aioli)
It will be late, because Thomas is visiting his father.
My FIL is very very sick after all this chemo.
He is just laying in bed... can't do nothing..

Well, I have to try and cath up here!

Sorry to hear your FIL is so sick with chemo! "Funny" how 1 person can get through chemo with almost no problem at all & the next it will put nearly on their death bed. After all these years it seems there should be a better way! :-? Have a GREAT time at the hotel! I hope your cough gets better!!

Good morning MMC! "Happy" last day of summer!!! I am sad to see summer go, but I do love fall & all the holidays! So ready or not...

I haven't heard any updates on Jackie this morning so hopefully no news = good news!
Oh...incoming text - Sis is at hospital with Jackie. "She will stay 1 more day for pain control. She will definately need home health care for wound vac. She is doing good overall & still has good attitude! No one brought her any food yet. That kind of stuff makes me crazy!"

So generally all sounds good! Hopefully she can keep that good attitude!!! Poor girl must be hungry!!!

Bosses are both gone today, so this has been a GOOD morning at work!

Fall starts in my mind September 1.....no matter how warm it is...and fall weather has come early this year thank goodness.

This has been discussed I am sure, but I can't believe Hallmark is showing ads for their countdown to Christmas so soon but I do like it. BUT..the Wal-Mart layaway ads....ugh. They, like their ads last Christmas are just annoying, not Christmasy at all.....

i know, i love the Hallmark commercials.

Good morning from northern California. I am still having trouble with the jumping bean pages too! I gotta get on the road for work. I have an SST (Student Study Team) meeting after school today. The mom thinks her son misbehaves because he is so smart and bored. Well, I hate to burst her bubble, but I really have to. TTYL

That is a problem I have, I don't seem to fear any animals and think I can just reach out and pick them up. I am not even scared of wild mice or rats, I actually find them interesting but I also know they are destructive if they live in your house!!! I see big stray dogs wandering around and while others are trying to shoo them away, I call them to me. I hope I don't call the wrong one to me sometime and it attacks!

I almost did pick up the squirrel without thinking then decided I better wear gloves and still be careful that he didn't try to bite through them. He never tried but let out a cry when I gently picked him up so he must be injured but I am not 100% sure if he was scared or hurt. I bought some puppy milk and he guzzled it down so that is a good sign and he seems comfortable now. Got to get busy and find somewhere to take him.


I am a mugaholic too, only for the Christmas ones! I had to put a stop to buying anymore Christmas mugs!!! I don't have room to bring them all out anymore.

Christmasstar, that Eye Pad made me laugh. This morning, going to Petco to pick up puppy milk, there is an AT&T store that people were standing in line for the new Ipad. Dollar Tree is on the other side of that store and I told Wayne we should start a line at that door and wait for it to open. Got to get in there for those dollar deals!!! Yay!

i saw on tv where all these peeps were in line all night to get their i-phone. i can honestly say if it ain't gonna save a life i'm not doing that. to each his own.

Weatherman says it's going to rain all night! Looking at the radar, it should be raining now. It's really dreary looking, but no rain yet. Looks like it could be a good night to stay home. And hopefully its done b/f our golf outing in the morning!!!!

My neighbor just sent me a text. I was supposed to let their dog, Bailey out next week on my lunch, while they are on vacation. She said the dog was really struggling yesterday & today & it was bleeding, so they decided to put her to rest. Oh, I'm so sad for them. She was such a sweet dog.

That's my problem...so many patterns & so many projects started (& not many finished!!) :lol: The afghan I am working on for my SIL is getting close to being 1/2 finished! I haven't measured it lately.

Long, strange, busy day at work. Portions of my order I placed for the weekend were canceled, so I am going to be short on product for most of the weekend. I also put away 16 pallets of merchandise between my cooler and freezer, I am so sore, and tired now. Just one more day until a day off, we are planning to go apple picking on Sunday, and having Pizza, apple and pumpkin pies for dessert. Yummy!

I may be back on later.

Good morning everyone.

I glad to see summer end. Soon no more snakes, bugs, or weed-eating. We're starting to see bears again as they try to fatten up for winter. We are looking at highs in mid 70s & lows in lower 50s/upper 40s today and Saturday. But another cold front is due Sunday and we are forecast to have highs in mid 60's and lows in upper 30's for a few days. We may have to close our bedroom window. Now that is great early fall weather!

We continue to pray for all those experiencing health issues. My mom's pain level is gradually increasing. She now needs a cane to help walk. But she keeps going. She picked muskie dimes for over an hour yesterday.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was really foggy this morning, but it's cleared up to a cool, sunny day. nice! Mom has more physical therapy today, then we'll have lunch. This afternoon Jacob goes to take his learner's license test...Lord help us all!

things at work have been rather slow lately, hopefully it picks up soon. I actually have the whole weekend off! But I have nothing to do this weekend, I need next weekend off. I hope the boss did not mix up the time off I need.

I found some pumpkin icecream, have not tried it yet but will let you know how it tastes later.

Taking my daughter to work in a 1/2 hour and then going upstairs to read.
