Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good afternoon, MMC!!

Happy Saturday & HAPPY FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you up to today?

I have been doing laundry, organizing our office (or should I say attempting to!), and hanging out w/my sweet Harlowe.

Yesterday was my last day of work. I am happy and sad at the same time.

My company threw me a farewell party yesterday. It was a lot of fun! And very thoughtful of them.
It was at a sports bar nearby, and they closed off the dining room area & transformed it into a party room. It was Green Bay Packer themed =] I was the Cheesehead, of course! There were green & gold balloons everywhere, a Packer helmet, Packer bracelet, Packer t-shirt that everyone signed & wrote messages on, and an Aaron Rodgers cake!! *Awesome*
It was hard to say goodbye to friends, and to a company I've been with for over 6 years. But it was time.

I ordered some classes in real estate. I can't wait to start!! I hope I like it as much as I think I will... On to bigger & better!!

Adrian & I are exhausted. He has his biggest golf tournament next week, and leaves Monday for it. I pray that it's successful for his organization. He puts so much time & effort into it. God love him.

It'll be nice having my sister here while he's gone. She gets in Wednesday :-D

P.S.- I got a Hallmark Keepsake pamphlet in the mail yesterday! It had coupons in it for the October premieres. Can't wait!!! I've got my wishlist started! :grin:

Well, Jacob passed his driver's exam, so we have another new driver on the road. Heaven help us! The DDS office is about 30 miles from here, so we let him drive us home. Nancy was a backseat driver from heck, though. She had him more nervous than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. But, we made the trip back to Bellville, then everyone had their picture taken with him and his new (learner's) license.

I'm at Bernie's this morning, cooking sausage and drinking coffee.

I hope your move goes smoothly. I bet it was hard to leave. Like you said, sometimes it is just time xo I can't wait for the October Ornament Premiere either !!!!! xo

We finally got the keys of our new house yesterday, so a week of cleaning and moving is ahead. Most importantly I have agreed on the position of the Christmas tree come the time. Priorities and all that :) have a great weekend folks.

It's a beautiful bright sunny day here in NJ. First day of fall, so Christmas is not that far away. I got up this morning and got on youtube and looked at people make roast turkey and stuffing. Yes, I am ready to start my Thanksgiving plans. Today hubby, daughter Kayla and I are cleaning out my office space. I decided to become an agent of an online travel agency and I am excited!! I love travel planning. It's been a hobby and now I decided to take the plunge and do it as a small home business.

Well I can't believe we only have 93 days til Christmas. I got out my Christmas countdown clock, but unfortunately it doesn't allow me to begin the countdown until October 1st. But that's ok, because I countdown everyday with or without a countdown calendar! :-D

Hubby went to Home Depot the other day and asked about the Christmas Decorations. He said he got some weird looks but the salesperson proudly informed him Christmas will be on the shelves next week!! Hubby is ready to get the icicles lights on the house before it gets too cold. So usually they go up in late October or early November. Wow!! It's almost time!!!

I seem to be full of the holiday spirit today, so I intend to go out and spread the joy of the upcoming season. I hope you all are having a VERY MERRY day!!!

Why oh Why do I do what I do?

So now I got a notion that I would remodel my bathroom...the original from 1949 in my little ranch. OOOOOOOhhhh boy, well the domino effect is now happening where the little project is getting to be big and expensive.
I'm ready to pull my hair out and suddenly my little peach tiled 1949 bathroom is looking not THAT bad!
Keep a good thought for me Christmas friends and know this in your heart- I hereby swear to make this my last big remodeling project in this little Italian girl's lifetime...oh yeah, going out of this house feet first with it looking just the way it is after this project!

So let's see. I took my niece's to the apple orchard to get apples, the grocery store, and to toys r us to get some Christmas ideas. Then I took them home. While at my sisters house I changed her thermostat because she didn't like the one she bought a couple of months ago. I carried 2 twin headboards, foot boards, and side rails up to my niece's rooms. Then put them together. (another gift to my sister from her mother in law). Then I managed to wrestle a 7 drawer dresser up the stairs by myself. I also had to change the flushing mechanism in the toilet in my niece's bathroom. Finally I managed to leave and head home but for some reason my niece's were in the truck with me. So there goes my nap before the greasy skillett starts.

Would you mind stopping by here? I need someone to wrestle some dressers out of my bedroom to get the floor refinished! Just kidding, but not so much- furniture is a dog to move and I am never doing this again either! What was I thinking? I'll be lucky if I am able to even host Thanksgiving here with all my bright ideas of updating every room in the house! Oy!
