Monday hello ... finally broke down and got that iPad yesterday. I'm going to enjoy that! I still need to set up e-mail and put some music, video, and books on it.

Glad you enjoyed another QVC "party"! Hope you didn't lose too much sleep.

Thanks Merry !! I didn't get to join in the QVC party until late Saturday and then I only stayed a couple of hours..I must be getting old, I just couldn't stay awake !! xo I would LOVE to have an iPad too !! xo

Good day everyone! I got off to a late start, (stayed up late last night to watch the Ravens come back and beat the New England Patriots) and I am now just finally getting aroung to posting this morning.

We made a trip late satuday afternoon to Costco and they were in full Christmas mode... They had everything out that you cold imagine; from trees, wrapping paper, bows, toys, chocolates, etc... They had these 6' tall nutcrackers there for only $260+/- dollars each. I looked over at the wife, (with this I want one look) and she immediately said No!!! I next heard the following statement, "you got too much stuff already, in 13 years, I have not had a car in the garage...."! I played dumb, gave her the classic I don't know what she was talking about look; huhhhhhh????

I then looked over and saw that they had these pumpkin spiced pound cakes.... Ohhhhhh; now talk about tempting your tummy, somehow, "and I don't know just how that happened"; ahemmm, one of them found their way into the cart when we were checking out. Must of fell in there by mistake....."! lol!!! Oh boy, was that thing some kind of good, had a slice or two with a couple scoops of Moosetracks flavored Ice Cream later that night..... Oh baby....

This saturday we are heading out to look for a new Christmas tree, there is this really neat place in Hunt Valley, Maryland; called Valley View Farms. They are like a christmas wonderland and we are going to check them out first. Then I was telling the wife about what everyone keeps talking about here, called Hobby Lobby. I have to drive a good bit to get to one, but were going to check it out as well, (it will be our first time to visit one)!

Sorry, not today.

Cannot get out to Crabtree today but plan to do so tomorrow.
If "A Christmas To Remember" is open, I'll get photos and launch the thread.
If it is not, I'll have to make a decision whether to launch with the empty store front (which I had to do last year) or wait to the end of the week in hopes they will be be open by then.

Regardless. I WILL launch the thread before the end of the month so we can continue the tradition of a September start each year!

btw...I finally made it to 9000 posts...funny how it is only so "little"....since it only took me one year to post 5000....after that i fell into a christmas posting lumb

What a beautiful day today...!it is a little warm but still nice..the day forecast calls for highs in the upper 80's for the next 10 days...I can't believe it's the last week of september the month has flown by..I hope everyone is doing good,talk to yall later!

The clock is 10:30 PM here now...

Isak (4 years old) is having a photoshoot in the Kindergarten
at 9 tomorrow morning.

And I have signed us up for ten weeks with gymnastics
starting tomorrow afternoon!!!
Me and Isak both... It's a group for parent and child...Haha..
I hope he like it!
And it's fun to do something together!
And maybe we get to know someone new?
I hardly know anybody here.. And we have lived here for some years now.

We watch a lot of shows together, but one of our favorites is Sing-Off.

Hey gang! We are watching Dancing with the Stars, one of our favorite shows. We love when this comes on because we always spend that time together. This will lead us up to the season.....yipee!

hey y'all! i finally got done w/ those dad-gum peas. remind me to keep my trap shut next time somebody offers them to me!!! PLEASE!

went & did a little shopping after my dr. appt. (without daughter) & got a few things. too bad it's gonna be in the 80's this week because i didn't buy anything cool.

our local K-Mart is closing on DECEMBER 22. 3 days before Christmas, i can't believe it....well yeah i guess i kind'a can. this town is slowly drying up no matter what the town council says. i vote Bradmac our next mayor!!!!!!

gonna go finish supper.

Three months from right now, we will be at my Mom's house, eating with the family, visiting, enjoying the memories being made...three months and an hour from now...the best thing to ever happen to me will be sitting by my side, in the bask of the Christmas tree and fire place....watching Polar Express and drinking coffee.....

Three months from tonight.....Christmas Eve....I can't wait!

Good evening! I don't like that I didn't get to log on alll day! Just wanted to say that we had 35º & FROST this morning!! Frost on the grass, frost on the cars, frost on the rooftops! It was so pretty!! It wasn't a killing frost, so my tomatoes are fine! (thankfully!) I haven't eaten enough fresh salsa yet this year! After our walk this morning I turned on the fireplace & crawled under a blanket! Felt awesome! On my way to work...looking at all the frosty houses...I turned Kenny G Christmas on in the car! Oh what a day!

At the grocery store tonight I picked up a copy of Paula Dean Christmas! Can't wait to read it!!! :grin:

Hope you all had a great day! I want to catch up on posts but need to get working on the afghan for my SIL!!!
