Good luck with your hunt for a tree !! I would LOVE to see the place you talked about !!! xo

Thank you CM3, I think that you would absolutely just love it, they must have at least 50 Christmas trees decorated in there and all the decorations are for sale. They have a International area that has a focus on traditional Christmas crafts from countries like Germany, Ireland, Norway, etc... a huge train section and also christmas garden area, etc...

Here, I'll post their website, for you and everyone else to see. I know that it is far from alot of my MMC friends, but if your ever around town here, it is a pretty neat place to stop in and check out, year round! Valley View Farms - http://www.valleyviewfarms.com/christmas.html

I guess I have been going there for around 25 years or so for both Halloween and Christmas and it is just wonderful...

it is 8:30pm...and I am terribly tired...will go to bed now...rest my bones and read a little..holla my friends......

btw...I finally made it to 9000 posts...funny how it is only so "little"....since it only took me one year to post 5000....after that i fell into a christmas posting lumb

Ok, just ONE request... slow down time just a weeee bit for the next three months? It's just a little request.... I'm sure it won't take much effort!

Amen to that!!! My wife and I were talking about pre-lit and doing it ourselves. We do it ourselves and we use C7's, minis white and multi, bubble lights and chasers. It's a busy tree but we love it.

C7's, very nice! I haven't done any of those inside the house, since I was a teenager in the mid to late 70's. Hmmmm, I may try it, just to see how it would look... I love that old fashioned look, kind of, well, a sort of a mix of Rankin/ Bass, Charlie Brown, log home, old time, kind of feeling/ Christmas kind of thing going on.... Heart Warming.... I guess maybe, it is a generational kind of thing, maybe how we were raised, maybe the era we were raised in, etc...

Hey, you know what would be kind of cool is that we all, post a picture of our (favorite) Christmas trees when they're done being decorated...Just to share with everyone!

I admire you for putting the lights on yourself !! I am a little lazy when it comes to that and since I am the only one who decorates the tree and since I am so short, it turns into quite a problem to put lights on since the tree is usually a lot taller than me !! xo

My wife and daughter are both 5'4 and 5'3, and so years back, I got nominated to put the lights on the tree for that very same reason, so now it's more like a tradition now that I do the lights and everyone else decorates the tree.:sparkle:

Oh, here's an idea, tell the hubby if he wants dinner that night, he needs to put the lights on the tree for you, lol... (you will have to supervise, so he does it the way you want them)... I don't know a man that doesn't think with his stomach; ahemmmmm....:munch:

our tree comes in 3 parts so the lights go one one section at a time. I would get one of those new pre lit ones, but I really like my tree. Maybe some time in the future.
yeah, the stomach thing works well on my son! LOL

Get 3 or 4 Chocolate Advent Calenders and change the dates on some of them and start eating a chocolate a day 91 days out, it would be one really long Advent countdown. cheesy

Yes! I can get a bunch and countdown next Christmas for 365 days haha!

I didn't sleep very well last night. I was too angry at the embarrassment that happened on Monday Night Football. These replacement officials are an absolute joke and have to go. I will say no more.

A Good Milestone Morning to you all!

Yes, as Crown mentioned, we are almost there. 3/4 to Christmas Day! With the 3/4 Christmas may not yet be "just around the corner" but all the Christmas launch festivities and especially the decorations should be making their way into our worlds very shortly! In two more weeks, I will be able to sought out store Christmas decorations throughout Ottawa. Then, for me, it will truly be "...beginning to look a lot like Christmas." From there, however, I will still have to wait just over a month until the Christmas Season, which will permit me to listen to Christmas music! I cannot wait. Speaking of which, I should search for some new Christmas music soon! I have 8 or 10 gbs on my Macbook, but there's always room for more!

The gym was OK yesterday. I'm still doing the same boring routine. I was hoping to switch it up a little next week, but my knee is a little sore. Maybe I shouldn't have practiced and played hockey on Sunday. The motivating part is that the last time I had a small setback, it felt even better after three days. I'm hoping for the same result either tomorrow or Thursday.

We're all caught up at work and my co-worker has returned from her three-week vacation. That means less work to do! Well, there are a few small things to work on, but I doubt we'll be behind at all for a while now.

Weather-wise, it's warmer today than yesterday. It was a comfortable 11c (52f) on my walk to work this morning. It's supposed to reach 20c today, but there is also some rain in the forecast for today and tomorrow. Oh well!

Well, I hope everyone enjoys their milestone Tuesday! The time has flown by all year. Now that we're inching closer to the Christmas Season, it will seem to fly by even faster!

Ok, just ONE request... slow down time just a weeee bit for the next three months? It's just a little request.... I'm sure it won't take much effort!

As long as the time is slowed down when I am not working, I can agree to this! 8-)

Hey Made ! I have a Kindle Fire too, not the same one you have, just a regular non-HD Kindle Fire...What does it mean to "sideload" apps for the Fire ?? Thanks !!

It's when you download a file from a source other than amazon and then install it manually.

For some reason, I am tired tonight. So good night, everyone! The new recipe was pretty darn good!

Are you going to share the recipe?

I AGREE!!!!!! It's going by way to quick.

Good morning everyone!

Another cool morning. Fall is here!!! I am seeing more and more pumpkins on porches. Next month we go off to the pumpkin patch to wait for the great pumpkin..wait. no that's not right. We GET a pumpkin hehe. I hope they play some good movies this year. It just seems like they try less and less on tv to play them. Not sure why. Looks like my halloween party is a bust this year. Most of my friends cant make it. Sheesh. Oh well. Going to get myself a coffee soon. Hope everyone has a great day!

good a.m. y'all! it's so nice out this morning, 53 degrees. unfortunately the temps will begin to rise now & we will be back in the upper 80's for highs the rest of the week. i guess we always want the weather we don't have.

y'all have a good day!

Isn't that the truth!? I was just saying how I am enjoying this dreary day, but come February I will be screaming for some sunshine!!

Agreed 100%!!!

Is this what I have to do?? Ha ha ha! I am 5'3" but I "do it all" I like to put up the tree when my hubby is NOT at home b/c all he does is grumble about the mess!!! HA!!!

The gym was OK yesterday. I'm still doing the same boring routine. I was hoping to switch it up a little next week, but my knee is a little sore. Take it easy on that knee!!!

As long as the time is slowed down when I am not working, I can agree to this!

I agree with this 100% too!!!

They look great Star!!!!!

I didn't sleep very well last night. I was too angry at the embarrassment that happened on Monday Night Football. These replacement officials are an absolute joke and have to go. I will say no more.

That was ridiculous. The league needs to do something.

Good morning, MMC! How is everyone doing this morning? How are your families? I have been praying for all of you and adding in extra prayers for anyone who asked for prayers! ♥

Happy Milestone Day! I can't believe that we are getting so close. Now is about the time of the year that I really enjoy waiting for Christmas, though. Throughout the summer I want to just get closer, but now it's fun to wait for November/December. Pretty soon we'll all be talking about what we are planning to cook/bake for Christmas, what gifts we're buying everyone, and maybe even about some snow! I am disappointed that I missed out on all of the fun with you guys last year but I am glad I'm here this time around!

I heard on all of the morning shows that supposedly a man with two children blogged and said that his oldest son is his favorite - um, yikes. That seems like a huge no no. Even if I had a favorite (which I am pretty positive that I wouldn't) you know the other kid is going to find out one day!

I ended up dropping a class that I had, so now I'm only down to four. Long story short - my online teacher was crazy and asked us to join an organization outside of class. I already had four other classes, his class, and my own job, so I dropped. I have no time for that! That would be a full school load, two jobs, and then leave me zero time for anything else.

I think I might do a little bit of online shopping for Christmas gifts while my mom is out and about today. Last year I cut it SO close with how late I was getting things shipped to my house! Our mall sadly has no good stores, so I'm forced to resort to online shopping. The closest mall with decent stores is 30-45 minutes away with traffic. It can be a pain to get there, especially depending on the weather. I'd rather online shop and choose whatever I want that way. Our mall gets rid of all of its stores for some reason, nothing seems to last. We got rid of Old Navy, Express, GAP, and plenty more.

Do you guys shop in person the most, or do you order online? I always feel like a weirdo for ordering my gifts online because sometimes part of the fun is shopping in person and seeing all of the decorations. I do some shopping in person, whatever I can at my own mall, but it's limited because of our store choices.

Time to get ready for class. Talk to you all soon!
