Good morning all. It is a little warmer here today; 43 when I left for work and should warm up to low 70s.

Leann (wife) teaches a ladies Bible study on Tues nights so it is Ethan (son) and my night out. We go to dinner at a local restaurant and just spend some time together. Except for the tourist, we will know everyone in the restaurant. Ethan's drinks are always free since he plays a high school varsity sport, (baseball). We don't have cell phone service at our house so Ethan will, of course, text his girlfriend who is away at college and most everyone in the restaurant has to stop by and speak. It is a neat evening. Ethan and I get to have some father son time and we both look forward to it.

Have a blessed day everyone.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's another cool morning here where we currently stand at 57 degree's on our way to 72. I have some work to do today and then I may head to horse track with my neighbor. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

I didn't sleep very well last night. I was too angry at the embarrassment that happened on Monday Night Football. These replacement officials are an absolute joke and have to go. I will say no more.

That was ridiculous. The league needs to do something.
I've never cared about watching sports on TV, and even I know those the replacement officials are useless.

Good morning, MMC! How is everyone doing this morning? How are your families? I have been praying for all of you and adding in extra prayers for anyone who asked for prayers! ♥

Happy Milestone Day! I can't believe that we are getting so close. Now is about the time of the year that I really enjoy waiting for Christmas, though. Throughout the summer I want to just get closer, but now it's fun to wait for November/December. Pretty soon we'll all be talking about what we are planning to cook/bake for Christmas, what gifts we're buying everyone, and maybe even about some snow! I am disappointed that I missed out on all of the fun with you guys last year but I am glad I'm here this time around!

I heard on all of the morning shows that supposedly a man with two children blogged and said that his oldest son is his favorite - um, yikes. That seems like a huge no no. Even if I had a favorite (which I am pretty positive that I wouldn't) you know the other kid is going to find out one day!

I ended up dropping a class that I had, so now I'm only down to four. Long story short - my online teacher was crazy and asked us to join an organization outside of class. I already had four other classes, his class, and my own job, so I dropped. I have no time for that! That would be a full school load, two jobs, and then leave me zero time for anything else.

I think I might do a little bit of online shopping for Christmas gifts while my mom is out and about today. Last year I cut it SO close with how late I was getting things shipped to my house! Our mall sadly has no good stores, so I'm forced to resort to online shopping. The closest mall with decent stores is 30-45 minutes away with traffic. It can be a pain to get there, especially depending on the weather. I'd rather online shop and choose whatever I want that way. Our mall gets rid of all of its stores for some reason, nothing seems to last. We got rid of Old Navy, Express, GAP, and plenty more.

Do you guys shop in person the most, or do you order online? I always feel like a weirdo for ordering my gifts online because sometimes part of the fun is shopping in person and seeing all of the decorations. I do some shopping in person, whatever I can at my own mall, but it's limited because of our store choices.

Time to get ready for class. Talk to you all soon!
Our closest mall is 1.5 hours away and we only have dialup internet at home so most of our shopping occurs on all day trips to Pigeon Forge, TN.

It's great when you know that your son, even though he's a teenager, still loves to hang out with the old man.

When Christmas shopping season really gets going, Nancy & Elizabeth & my mom go shopping while Jacob and I go hunting. He and I love to stop at Harry's BBQ after the evening hunts. Just like your town, everybody know everybody else, so it's fun!

Im feeling so much better, thank you! Hope it's for real this time!
Im so tired of feeling sick.

Enjoy your day off Xmas! =]

Glad to hear that!

C7's, very nice! I haven't done any of those inside the house, since I was a teenager in the mid to late 70's. Hmmmm, I may try it, just to see how it would look... I love that old fashioned look, kind of, well, a sort of a mix of Rankin/ Bass, Charlie Brown, log home, old time, kind of feeling/ Christmas kind of thing going on.... Heart Warming.... I guess maybe, it is a generational kind of thing, maybe how we were raised, maybe the era we were raised in, etc...

Hey, you know what would be kind of cool is that we all, post a picture of our (favorite) Christmas trees when they're done being decorated...Just to share with everyone!

The C7's and bubble lights are a memory from my childhood, it such a great warm look with those lights on the tree.

Here is my tree from last year:

Sorry the picture has a greenish tinge to it.

Tuesday hello ... stayed up too late last night loading music and stuff on my iPad, and checking out all the different settings. Ashamed to say that with all that, I forgot to download Merry Podcast #21!

Three months from right now, we will be at my Mom's house, eating with the family, visiting, enjoying the memories being made...three months and an hour from now...the best thing to ever happen to me will be sitting by my side, in the bask of the Christmas tree and fire place....watching Polar Express and drinking coffee.....

Three months from tonight.....Christmas Eve....I can't wait!

What will you be doing three months from tonight?

After dark, we'll be screening the reels we save for Christmas Eve ... checking MMC and Santa Tracking periodically ... sneaking Mr.'s gifts under the tree ... loving it!

Thanks! I am working on a cake that will look like a thanksgiving dinner and this will be part of it

I couldn't guess. I want to see a photo of that cake when it's finished! This is going to be amazing!

A Good Milestone Morning to you all!

Yes, as Crown mentioned, we are almost there. 3/4 to Christmas Day! With the 3/4 Christmas may not yet be "just around the corner" but all the Christmas launch festivities and especially the decorations should be making their way into our worlds very shortly! In two more weeks, I will be able to sought out store Christmas decorations throughout Ottawa. Then, for me, it will truly be "...beginning to look a lot like Christmas." From there, however, I will still have to wait just over a month until the Christmas Season, which will permit me to listen to Christmas music! I cannot wait. Speaking of which, I should search for some new Christmas music soon! I have 8 or 10 gbs on my Macbook, but there's always room for more!

The gym was OK yesterday. I'm still doing the same boring routine. I was hoping to switch it up a little next week, but my knee is a little sore. Maybe I shouldn't have practiced and played hockey on Sunday. The motivating part is that the last time I had a small setback, it felt even better after three days. I'm hoping for the same result either tomorrow or Thursday.

We're all caught up at work and my co-worker has returned from her three-week vacation. That means less work to do! Well, there are a few small things to work on, but I doubt we'll be behind at all for a while now.

Weather-wise, it's warmer today than yesterday. It was a comfortable 11c (52f) on my walk to work this morning. It's supposed to reach 20c today, but there is also some rain in the forecast for today and tomorrow. Oh well!

Well, I hope everyone enjoys their milestone Tuesday! The time has flown by all year. Now that we're inching closer to the Christmas Season, it will seem to fly by even faster!

I am not a fan of either team, but wow that was bad call. They need to get that lockout situation taken care of. I wonder, when the real officials come back will they get a standing ovation?

I like the way you have just a few of them scattered over the tree. Your tree is beautiful and very warm; great job!

Good morning, happy milestone and Rudolph Day!

Just sitting here MMC-ing and watching I'll Be Home For Christmas (again) It's on Starz so I had to watch it, either that or watch another 400 replays of that horrible call. It was a chilly 35 degrees when I woke up this morning, brrrrr, nice and refreshing. The usual laundry and dishes are my chores for the day.

I can't wait for it to be 3 months from today.

Happy :rudolph: day!!!

I wish we had frost. It is still forcast to be in the high 90s at least through the weekend. Yuck! Kenny G would make my day, too! You can always sit at your computer with the afghan in your lap. I think Meceka said she does that sometimes! Either Meceka or Merry Carey.

Good evening! I don't like that I didn't get to log on alll day! Just wanted to say that we had 35º & FROST this morning!! Frost on the grass, frost on the cars, frost on the rooftops! It was so pretty!! It wasn't a killing frost, so my tomatoes are fine! (thankfully!) I haven't eaten enough fresh salsa yet this year! :) After our walk this morning I turned on the fireplace & crawled under a blanket! Felt awesome! On my way to work...looking at all the frosty houses...I turned Kenny G Christmas on in the car! Oh what a day!

At the grocery store tonight I picked up a copy of Paula Dean Christmas! Can't wait to read it!!!

Hope you all had a great day! I want to catch up on posts but need to get working on the afghan for my SIL!!!

Have a great night!

Your weather sounds perfect to me! I can just picture myself snuggled under a blanket across my lap, reading a good book, listening to and watching the rain, and drinking pumpkin spice coffee.

Happy Tuesday morning all!

Weather here is pretty grim, all day yesterday it rained and felt so dark, same is forecast for today!
