It's as easy as pie!!! I will post my recipe soon.
Good afternoon, MMC! The weekend seems to sadly be flying by already. Today I am making homemade Italian wedding soup for dinner. Any takers? I went out on Thursday with a bunch of my friends and it was a lot of fun. I even met a few new people through mutual friends so at least I will have some people to go out with while my friends go back to college. There are some "fall breaks" so my friends are back for the weekend. I think I am going to stay in tonight and relax with a couple of TV shows or movies. I like to relax just as much as I like to go out :] All of my neighbors are decorated for the fall and for Halloween. Pretty soon we'll be seeing the Christmas decorations! Have a great day, everyone!
And I almost forgot to say thanks for all of your kind well wishes and comments when I was really sick this week. I still have the cold and a sore throat but I am finally getting better. Hopefully it goes away for good within a couple of more days. Colds love to stick around with me!
I don't know if it's will power or fear, but it's working!
We don't know how old he is. He was full grown when he showed up here and I don't remember when that was. It seems like he has always been here ~ he fit in almost from the start. He was very cheerful this morning ~ wanted his peanut butter flavored dog bone![]()
I am a little over a third of the way through the rough draft of my brother's book and I find myself wanting to peek ahead to see what happens next ~ it is pretty good! It is a real rough draft as there are a lot of typos and such (some of which are quite funny), but as I was getting further in, I started to ignore all that and just enjoyed the story![]()
The news is saying that Starbucks has a shortage of Pumpkin Spice Latte! Uh oh!
Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!
I'm here at Bernie's all day. I've already cooked & sold breakfast. Now I'm knee-deep in lunch, with cheesburgers, pepperoni pizza & rotisserie chicken. Mmmm, mmmm!
Good morning, Christmas friends. Hubby and I drove to Redding yesterday for doctors' appointments. On the way, I suggested our having a Thanksgiving dinner on Monday. He agreed!!! (Later last evening, I heard him telling a friend of ours that we were celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving.) At one of the doctor's offices, there was an OLD issue of Sunset magazine (November 2011). We decided to try the recipes from it for Monday because we have a set menu for the US Thanksgiving. Anyway, here's our menu (most recipes from the mag!): Brined Turkey (not from the mag, but we know this is good and can't stray from our regular recipe; we bought an eight pounder); Sage Gravy (our regular recipe); Wild Mushroom and Butternut Squash Bread Pudding; Fingerling Potatoes with Bacon Cream; Roasted Cauliflower and Shallots; Cranberry Sauce (store-bought); Homemade Rolls; Chocolate Chunk Pumpkin Cupcakes; and Pouilly-Fuisse White Burgundy (thanks to the recommendation by LaurieBear).
It's as easy as pie!!! I will post my recipe soon.
I don't even like candy corn, I have seen them but stayed away. cheesy
I would be out enjoying the day, but I seem to have caught a cold.
So I had to type that entire countdown message from Kim's HTC android phone. It was nearly impossible! Again, I apologize for being a little tardy. There is usually an open connection at Kim's mom's, but that seems to be no more. Tomorrow should be a little different as we'll be at Kim's sister's house, where there is a connection (we're here right now).
Hard to believe the Homestretch starts tomorrow. Wow!
In our small town, it jumped 40 cents a gallon yesterday; so now it stands at $4.79 a gallon. Can you believe that?
